you dont need to mod the 3ml, you can though depending on your juice and how you want it to perform and all are now dry, I fill and vape and use 70/30 pg/vg juice, no pg/vg juice of any kind on the coil, no need to clean any that might of had juice on them.

Now I'm tempted to grab one before the move... oh decisions!

Thanks Bad.

Do the black o-ringis from the Fluxos fit the top coil Phx? I have never had a CE-2, exception to the Visions, that wicks right without removing that rubber cup seal and using just the black O-ring. For me the Supreme Fluxo cup seal didn't provide any imrpovement over the black cup seal of the Fluxos but I don't vape using 3.2V Ego. I hope the top coil Phx works well out of the box at 4V+.

No need to mod the 3ml at all. Works perfectly out of the box. I did mod one to try it-just to say I did. Honestly, the un-modded ones are equal to the modded ones, so I will probably not bother modding them again. Perfect out of the box. How cool is THAT?

Mine worked perfectly out of the box for the first half tank, but leaks every time when it gets to half empty. I've cleaned it about 5 times and refilled about 10. I'm hoping this version has been improved in that respect but my hopes aren't high. Given that nobody from GV has mentioned that, my guess is they are the same as the first version minus the primer.

I've been using 100% PG so I might have to try adding some VG to thicken it up. I've tried all the other suggestions to prevent leaking. At least for me it doesn't dump the whole tank - it just seeps out into the battery connector and performance drops dramatically.

When they're working they're awesome

lol Zipper, not sure where Rosenberg is, but I say we need a store front in Bell County to get all the soldiers here vapin'! Plus, we don't have any here. lol

I'm 20 min from Sugarland, so Im biased for sure. BUT, ANYTHING for our troops !!!!

Several hints have been dropped about a storfront, and have went unanswered, So I think that speaks for itself...It's all good though...

Just wanted to say thank u to the Gotvapes team for all your hard work and also for taken the time on the forum to help and answer all of our questions. I did get my order in last night and am really happy, looking forward to trying the new top coils. The only problem I ran into last night was trying to see while putting in my order lol, even with my reading classes my eyes got so blurry from stalking the store and reading up on the forum. My poor eyes :), as long as I can see to set up my vaping supply,s that's all that matters.

I've been having good results with these since I got them. Once in awhile I can't get 1 or 2 out of a pack to work right. Ordering a few packs of the new batch today. I've been trying to get the coil from these phoenixes, without the tube, to work in the vivi nova tank, any ideas? I know I need to mod the wick so it will reach the juice, seal the small inner metal tube with the top of the tank and that should do it. Trying to get some ideas before I break out the dremel again.

On a different note, some of the bottom coil phoenixes I've cleaned have been reading 1.5-1.7 ohms after cleaning, any idea why this is happening?

I'd guess that you have some of the coils touching each other instead of being seperated...

Interesting that you say that. I've tore 3 of them apart so far to clean, and notice all have the coils touching. This results in a longer than usual delay from when I hit the fire button to when the coils start to glow(obviously). When I do get around to re-wicking, I was thinking about laying a few strands of wick across the top of the coils, just to see what happens with vapor production. Another interesting observation on mine anyway, is the lack of wicking visible through the wick holes. This situation would suggest that the coil "chamber" would be flooded, but interesting enough, they vape just fine...

Here's a question that's been bothering me: Is the metal inside the tube pure stainless steel? Ever since I heard that some manufacturers have added lead to the so-called stainless steel for ease of molding, I've started to look at all my cartos with suspicion because I just can't tell. It would be a serious problem as lead is a well known neuro toxin.

It's not stainless. Appears to be chrome plated brass.

@Bad, out of curiosity have you guys done lead testing on your products post production by a company in the USA? If so I would love a link to those results. I'm not saying that you guys have lead in your products but being the products are manufactured in China (which is notorious for lead use) and that someone brought it up, it has me wondering.

Thanks. Is it better or worse then?

Smoking through Brass is known to cause lockjaw issues. However this is vaping and it is chrome plated according to the poster, so it may be a non issue.

Surgical grade stainless steel would be the best. In fact I would pay more just to have that in my products. Especially with the consumer base wanting longer lasting, non disposable, cleanable products. I would rather pay 2x the price for a unit that lasts 2-3 months with stainless.
