@Bad, out of curiosity have you guys done lead testing on your products post production by a company in the USA? If so I would love a link to those results. I'm not saying that you guys have lead in your products but being the products are manufactured in China (which is notorious for lead use) and that someone brought it up, it has me wondering.

I had not considered this either til now. Would certainly be good to know. I really don't like that so much comes from China for many reasons, but not much to do about that right now.

Do not recommend the higher ohm one for ego. I may have gotten a bad one. It did not wick well. Ordered two more at the 2.4 in the 3 mm size to try again. Like the concept but may end up getting mod for boge's like the liquinator. Like the ce3's from vaperalley as they chain vaped wirh no wicking issues and the tips also fit my boge carts but they only hold a liitle over a ml.

Surgical grade stainless steel would be the best. In fact I would pay more just to have that in my products. Especially with the consumer base wanting longer lasting, non disposable, cleanable products. I would rather pay 2x the price for a unit that lasts 2-3 months with stainless.

I second that.

the ohm wont have any effect on wicking. your unit might not be wicking well because the coils arent where they are supposed to be. (if you are using the same liquid, more than likely that is the case)
its fairly common that all xl units arent the same, even in the same pack.

no we dont do testing for lead, and im not sure any vendor has.

You could be the first. Imagine the benefits of being able to say "we are the only vendor who does this" Insert link to testing on home page.

Pretty solid selling point if you ask me.

I would also be highly interested in a stainless steel product line as I'm sure others are. Might be something to consider for a future line of products.

Anyway sorry for derailing the thread. Someone brought up the topic and I felt the need to comment.

I read a little of the post about flaking particles myself, and the other day while cleaning, put my razor blade to the metal tube (probably not the smartest thing to do).
Chrome came off in little flakes, so I would have to agree with Big Screen D's assessment.
I gave the whole thing a washdown with everclear, and continued to vape with pleasure BTW?

As far as stainless steel goes, medical or food grade would only suffice.

Sorry up front as I'm sure this has been covered

The Phoenix 3ml has no male screw connection on the base (aside from the ego threads) ?

I can't even get it to fire on my Riva without an ego adapter, and the Provari is not liking that adaptor/carto combo, keeps going me error messages

Hmmmn

You are correct it requires an ego thread ( or adapter ) as indictated in the name and description

GotVapes PHOENiX™ 3ml Bottom Coil eGo Tank
•This has outside eGo threading so it threads where your cones normally thread.

Thank, but well aware of the blurb I didn't realize threading where your cone threads meant there was nothing to thread on the center pin, and it still doesn't work on my Riva which is an ego essentially.

Every time I've heard a similar issue ( not firing ) using a particular atty/carto/clearo on a particular PV has been caused by the minor tolerance differences that the PV's have on the center pin... In short, the center pin on your Riva is slightly lower than a standard eGo so it isn't making contact...

There are two solutions I've seen posted... use an adapter as you have mentioned or raise the center pin ( if possible ) on the PV itself. I may be able to think of a 3rd possible solution in this situation but I can't be certain since I can't see either part.... Sand or file down the outer threaded portion on the 3ml Tank so that it can thread down onto the PV just a little further.

Just wanted to say thanx to Chris also. Got my goodies today from the Midnight Madness sale as well. Damn if the wife didn't confiscate half my order..
NOT Bad turnaround fron NY to TX.

BTW, dont try to use any of the eGo cones or others if you beef up the factory tubes with syringe tubes, as I have done. The wall thickness won't allow the sleeves to fit over.

The poster who said he was getting an error on his Pro V using the adapter with the 3Ml tanks... I get the same error, even without an adapter, using the Phoenix 1.5's ?? Go figure?

Ummm...My 3ml Phoenix is not firing on my ego either? Is it typical the post needs pulling? Hmmm...tried 2 different batts with no luck..

Ok, a quick post pull, and she's firing right off...good to go...

I've got a couple of questions for those of you who are have the knowledge and experience that I'm still trying to acquire.

1) For the Phoenix bottom coil, which ohm rating would work best with an ego twist?

2) Other than the placement of the coil, what's the difference between the Phoenix top and bottom coil?

3) I've used the Stardust Vision (2.5 - 2.8) with the ego twist and love it. How is the new long wick model different (other than the obvious fact that it uses long wicks)?

I've only been vaping for a month - and have completely quit a 44 year relationship with tobacco - so I really appreciate any advice and guidance I can get. Thank you in advance!
