Loving it. In 18350 mode it's the perfect size for out and about.

Yes, I like 18350 size. However, I use sub 1 ohm Genesis type RBAs exclusively, and I find that 18350s just don't last, and I don't like carrying extra batteries. The 18500 is a nice compromise.

Hey guys, so I swapped my poldiac battery tube and shirt from 18350 to a 18500. When I swapped them, it didn't fire and there was a little bit of room for the 18500 battery to wiggle around. It came with a few spare parts so I changed the battery spring and it fixed the problem. My question is, is it normal for the battery spring to go down like that? It just seems pretty flimsy compared to my other mods battery spring where I've put in different battery sizes and still would keep its shape. Is it always required to swap or stretch it every time I switch battery size tubes? Mind you, I've only had my poldiac for a week or two with very little use. I've been using it as a 18350 until now. Im sure I can stretch out my first spring but it was just weird that it had already gone down a lot.

I mean its not too much of a hassle to swap springs or stretch em out but it was just that it had that much play already right when I switched sizes.

The SB hot spring is the best backup for a lot of mods. I just tried one in my Poldiac and it works fine. It's bigger and will fit in the space around the original spring housing.
Is the SB spring sturdier? I think the original springs are just flimsy so it compresses a lot and stays the shape it's in with the 18350 and when I put the 18500 battery tube and battery, it's all the way down which gives it some room and not touch the top cap pin

They are a lot more sturdy.

I haven't received my new tubes yet. But it seems like the spring tension should be the same, regardless what set of tubes and battery are used. An 18500 battery is about 15mm longer than an 18350. So the 18500 tubes should be 15mm longer than the 18350 tubes. Is it possible the spring collapsed from heat?

In my opinion no. I could be totally wrong. But really, I've used my poldiac probably a total of 10 minutes since I've got it. How can you tell if it collapsed? Theirs no signs of burning on it. To tell you the truth I wouldn't even know what to look for. These springs are pretty soft though. I'm guessing it just gets pushed down when the battery is in and the top is screwed on. Like I said, these springs are soft so any pressure on them changes the height.

The center pin on both sides of the switch is adjustable. Did you adjust it? Turn it clockwise to extend it, that should get rid of any battery slop. Mine is 18350 setup and I have it screwed all the way in.

Yeah I tried that and extended it to the max before it falls off and still has a little bit of battery movement. So then I adjusted it all the way in again but now with the extra spring that came with it and its perfect. (By the way this is with the 18500)

That's why I think the problem is just the springs. When it's in 350 mode, the springs gets compressed and stays that way so when the 500 battery is in with the 500 tube, it sits pretty low, thus not making contact with the top.

I just wanted to see if anyone else has this problem when they change battery tubes/batteries.

I'm pretty positive if I was to put the new spring in a 18350 tube and 18350 battery. The same thing would happen to the spring.

What type of device are you using on your Poldiac, and what resistance? Because I could be wrong, but to me it looks like a collapsed hot spring.
