Love the pics!!! Congrats on your new toys everyone!!!

Uma has arrived! Will get some pics up tonight, but I have one question - I notice on the brass shirt and pants there are some pretty noticeable swirl marks....I'm assuming those will come out pretty quickly with a Cape Cod cloth, correct? I'm at work right now so I can't polish her up until I get home.

Man, this thing is HEAVY! I love it!
I dunno! Mine arrived spit and shine and twice as nice. Didn't get a chance to deal with that. I assume it will polish out. Cape Cod cloths work quite nicely. Good luck! Congrats on your new mod!!! You have excellent taste btw. :)
@CW... you might as well put your hypnotizing eyes back in their sockets... it ain't working neener neener. :)

Has anyone gold plated their shirt and pants yet? Seems like it would be pretty easy to do since they are removable.
Ohhhh nice!!! Go for it!!!! I wanna see!!!!

Ive skimmed through the thread but havent seen anyone else mention this, but I'm starting to have issues with misfires. I've taken apart the switch several times and had to straigten out the delrin inside the switch housing. I clean the contacts each time i take it apart also. After each time i do that it will work fine for a few hours but then start to misfire again. BTW Ive got the version from almost a year ago before they had the new website, so not sure if the button has changed but i dont think so. Anyone else having issues with the switch?
Your screws might be too in too far or not far enough or something. Screw around with the screws until it hits. and man, oh man, does it hit!!! :)

edit: had to change spick and span phrase due to censoring lol

Make sure the threads of both the battery unit as the atty are clean too, I have had this problem and found out it was my threads that were the culprit.

I appreciate all the replies guys and gals!! I'll clean everything again including the 510 connection threads as well. Hope it really is just a cleaning issue.....

Another thing to watch out for is not to over tighten the 2 base plates that go in the delrin (the ones that the contact screw then go in counter clockwise). Just "fingernail" tighten them.

I had that same issue yesterday after the first time i attempted to clean my poldy. By far the hardest switch to take apart and to make sure everything is properly put back together. I found the culprit after my third time i took it apart. Pieces of the delrin plastic some how was shredded in side, blocking the little connection pin...try looking into that.

Another possible culprit is the magnets on the switch. If the magnet on the button itself is not centered it can cause issues. Mine tends to slide to the side a little now and then and I just push it back into place. I know some have pulled the magnet off and reglued it but it hasn't caused enough problems for me to do that, or I am just lazy:D

A couple of thoughts that might help.
1: First thing I do is remove the magnet from the firing button, clean the old glue and super glue it back dead center. Every one I've seen is glued slightly off center.
2: When re-assembling the switch, leave the two contacts that screw into the delrin slightly loose. Maybe an 1/8 turn before they are tight. Now push the firing button a couple of times. Then tighten them the rest of the way. What this does is it aligns the contacts perfectly so that the small pin hits both contacts at the same time. Hopefully what I've written is understandable because if done this way, it always fires perfectly.

Well so far so good.....I think that the culprit was the 2 contact screws being too tight into the delrin. My theory so far is that my first issue was dirty contacts then when i put it back together i wrenched too far on the screws into the delrin which then led to further misfires. Again i do appreciate all the feedback and am glad i have found a forum such as this to bounce this stuff off of. Thanks again!!

Oh...I dunno about that. I'd have to give that distinction to the Roller switch.

lol exactly. I love the roller but it's that tiny little ball that loves to go flying through the air lol. The poldiac button to me is quite simple to take apart and put back together. Takes but a minute to take it apart and reassemble it. The only tricky part is the magnet but I have an extra magnet from the kit, and I just put that underneath to hold the main one in place till I put the button in. Got that hint from Tony's video where he used an extra magnet (from the MMVapors forum I think).

LOL, yes, it can be quite daunting ... until it's been done and then you bop yourself upside the head when you realize it wasn't as hard to do as it was to understand how to do it. Just make sure the little ball berring doesn't go flying out... follow Todd's tutorial to a tee and you'll be fine. It's worth the learning curve, and only needs doing once in awhile. (I've only done mine once yet use it every day).

Best way to take apart a Roller switch is inside a clear plastic bag. That way, at least you don't lose any parts.
