Jim will be making a different 510 section that will have air grooves. He is also planning on being able to use it as a hybrid. I have already seen the video and my button has never stuck. I don't recall him talking about any other problems with the mod but I have had none with mine. I got all 3 tubes with my order so it didn't seem like too high of a price to me. It's my favorite mod but you might wanna wait till your chi gets in then decide. I'm sure if enough people requests for the 3 tube special he will cave lol
Jim is a really nice guy with a big heart.

It went from Greece to Colorado, through customs twice, in two days?

I just read an article about the Polidiac and the sterling silver connections getting really tarnished as all sterling does. It has for some worn off also because of the threading. I think the Poldiac is one of the most beautiful out there with the Chi You being second and then there is the Caravela but its hard to get. I ended up getting the ELA for ease of future parts and being made here in the USA and Super-Ts lifetime warranty. Maybe Polidiacs makers will come up with upgraded parts for the sterling bits. It is an amazing device.

I am in no way an expert and fairly new to the MOD game, but I read as much as I can. I think I either read about the sterling problem on a facebook page for RA and MOD fans or on another thread here.

BTW that is amazingly fast shipping, did you pay extra for express? I congratulate all of you on your being able to get such beauties. I cant afford to get such a collection, so when I got my christmas / birthday money I had to make up my mind fast. I wanted the Chi-you, then I saw the polidac and it was sold out , It was so hard to decide. My deciding factor was the Super-T reputation and the lifetime warranty. Maybe in the future when there is another round of new must have devices I can pick up a nicely used Chi-you or Polidac or Roller to add to my humble collection.

I have a Poldiac but not the others mentioned so I cant compare it but I love my Poldiac. It does need to have its contacts cleaned pretty regularly to keep it firing on all cylinders but that only takes a few minutes a week. When it is clean it hits like no other. Jim is working on a vented top cap for use with tanks. His shipping is fairly expensive but the speed it gets to you will make your head spin. IMO the best thing about MMVapors is Jims customer service, he really looks out for the needs/wants of his customers and does anything he can to accomodate. He is also working on all brass contacts for those who dont want the silver plated.

I knew the Poldiac was Greek but didnt realize it was from MMV. Jim is an amazing person and like you said very concerned with customer service and going beyond. Must be a greek thing. Im sure he will address the little quirks and most likely send owners the update with little cost. I try to keep up with who makes what, but I think I lagged after the Temon. Thanks for updating me. Now the Poldiac is seducing me.

The silver plating is 15 micron and after nearly 20 days of daily use I have not cleaned the contacts and it's still hitting like a champ. I've read you can easily remove tarnish from a chemical reaction of baking soda on tin foil with warm water. (Remove Tarnish from Silver)

And as far as durability is concerned, I figure if the silver ever wears off, it's brass underneath (if i understand correctly) so no big deal, even though he includes replacement parts in a small bag w/ purchase.

lol, never thought of that, brass is one of the best conductive metals. Obviously the critics of the sterling, didnt think that through either. Im sure the tiny difference between the sterling and the brass is probably not even noticeable. Maybe instead of plating the small parts they can use solid sterling. Theres a guy I just saw on the modders forum that made a solid sterling silver MOd, its really beautiful. I think he said that he is a jeweller and the cost of the sterling for the whole project was 40.00 worth of sterling.

Glad I mentioned the whole sterling thing, was kinda hesitant. I didnt want to come off as one of those usual posters that come in on a thread and start putting down peoples MODs. Theres always one or two in brand specific threads. Like the ones that come in and start saying that all other devices but theirs is inferior.

I was desperate for a good mechanical and scored a like new Poldiac BTO (built to order?) from the classies a couple weeks ago. I needed it for my Cobra, which was wasting away on top of my wasting away Provari V2... (sold the Vari).
Glad I did and happy to hear that MMV is a stand up vendor...
Now I'm interested in the ELA, but heck its hard to find a good atomizer too thats not unobtainium...
LOve my iHybs too, but the Poldiac / Cobra is just fabulous. btw Cobra's when on sale weren't exactly snapped up... pretty steep (150) but a dang good RBA.

Are all the Poldiacs "BTO" btw?

ok, so it must be somewhat safe to do this with sub 1.0 ohms and 18350... must be if they're doing it... still, the 500 should be shorter too and get a leeetle more batt time.. i'll try it.
I love the 18350s for the size. Most RBAs are a bit on the long side, so I like to keep my set-ups under 7".
