JR, isn't it amazing how fingerprints and smudges don't seem to stick to or affect the finish?
I am still learning tips and tricks for the JD but loosening the top cover releases the vacuum and allows the juice to flow faster into the bottom cup. Loosen just a half turn or so and inhale on the drip tip until you hear or feel the gurgling.

The voltage setting on mine seem to be one red flash too little. 4 red flashes gives me 5 volts and 3 gives me 4volts and so on. This is just an unloaded voltage measurement at the atty connector so I am not sure what the loaded voltage is.

Over all the Precious works very well, not much that I can complain about except that I would love the see the 2 taps for on or off changed to 3. Sometimes I fumble for the sensor and end up turning it off or going into the menu settings. The JD is a simple design that works pretty well and has only 2 components. Just received my AW IMR 18350's in the mail today, no more rattling sounds like with the LifeP04's.

The new Precious hits as hard as the old one did, only this time I can control the voltage. A standard Joye atty at 5.1-5.4volts hits super hard and is just shy of being too much. Often times I often find myself in a nicotine induced stupor, very hard not to constantly vape because using it is almost too easy. This newly found bad habit I picked up is causing my acid reflux to go into over drive. :(

Maybe I won't be needing the extra Precious-L V2 that I also have.

PS, congrats again CH!!!

Thanks a lot for that nice write up and for your feedback, JR!

I just have one more question, if you don't mind. Does the Lv2 look good without the JD on it or does it need to have the JD attached in order to look complete? I'm specifically talking about the visibility of the threads on top of the switch... Thanks in advance.

Oh, and congrats CH!

I think it looks fine without the JD attached. In fact, I have used it a couple times like that, and if your a dripper there is a huge collector area for over flow that can be pulled back into the atty with a few draws :) This I actually like over my ProVari. The ProVari has a nice large collector area also, but the way it's designed I have to clean it vice draw it back into the atty.

More interesting notes: In a silent room, put the Precious Lv2 next your ear and activate it. Do you hear something?! I have terrible hearing, and I can deinitely hear the PWM working in there. LOL.

JR, I can hear a high pitched humming sound but not all the time if you put your ear right up to the sensor. Tried unscrewing the atty and there was no sound at all. Wish I could change the on/off 2 tap setting to something like 3 or 4 taps since my fumble fingers often turn the unit off. Other than that, mine is working flawlessly and never once failed to fire.

Aloha, Keith

I still think you all are SUCKERS for putting up with all the LIES and FLAKINESS from some dude on the other side of the planet that makes false promises, and SHELLING OUT 200 bux for something you've never seen. You mean that LIAR couldn't even give SOMEWHAT of a discount to you guys for waiting THAT long? You STILL paid full price? What nerve...

I refuse to support such TERRIBLE business. You all can kiss his ... all you want.
The precious is alREADY obsolete. Maybe he shouldn't have "disappeared" for half a year. But that's alright- it's fine to be full of .......
I'm ......, because I was SET on getting one of these for christmas, but all I got was fed lies and empty promises. Now there's all these fan boys bouncing around with their new toys they waited a year for...

Thanks for your input bass.

Although I agree there was lack of communication, in the end we ended up with a beautiful and functional mod.

There was a time where I was taken advantage of (remember the Vapezilla??). This experience does not compare. When payment was made, I received the unit in about 3 weeks.

Lovin mine! Got one set a 4.7 and the other at 5.2! I find the the JD performs better at lower voltage. Which is no problem for me 4.7 in a Precious is like no other hit period on any other mod any way.

Chuck, you aren't archiving one? Damn if I had two, one would be in a safety deposit box :)

I'm really enjoying it too. Going on 10 days (although I was 'scared' to use the tank initially... being a dumas with the seal). No leaks so far.

The tank holds 3ml. Also, if you don't feel like using the tank... leave it on the device and drip about 12 drops. The excess stays in the well. You can get a good number of drags before dripping another 12 drops again!

Actually it wasn't a year. It hasn't even been a year since getting my first Precious. I think it was like 6 months to get the Lv2, but like 2 weeks from the time I got a PP notice.

Why are you such a hater??? Oh silly me, you posted that already, you didn't get what you wanted for Christmas. I threw a fit when I got a watch one year for Christmas... I think I was 4 years old though.

Now that's funny! Bass maybe one of us can set you up? Seeing as we have the upgrade:p

I forgot about that night. That picture made me lol.

I can understand that Bass felt entitled, disappointed and now has a sour grapes attitude towards it. I'm sure he is not alone. But if you can stick out the wait, it is worth it in the end. I do not see obsolesence when using the Lv2. Quite the opposite. Now the GG in your pics... well... :)

anyone know if the prcious still has the software for a pc in it? im thinking if it has the software, then i can make my own cable for it.

Never would i part with my GGTS/AVS! It is #499. Right before he came out with the smooth draw ring. It is a well machined Mod. And i know it from head to toe. Nothing really to ever break. And it works like a Freight train. Using 6 volt's on a nebula 808 cool cart. But i did clean it and pack it up for a rainy day:p:p:)

I got my PP invoice a couple of days ago and I still haven't paid it. I can do it but I'm pretty strapped financially right now and so I want to be as sure this time as I was when I got my L-v1.
Problem is, what I'm hearing is not at all what I was expecting. Remarks on the JD like, "when it works it's great"... "when it works" WTF. It should always work. I want to fill it in the morning and not worry about it. That's the point, right?.
Juice viscosity has to be... well I use 60% VG and I really don't want to change my formula.
Can't depend on LED flashes for accurate volt measurement. Problems, because of reverse polarity, measuring volts with a meter. Hell, it's hard enough with my analog meter much less dealing with a possibility of damaging the unit by incorrectly taking a measurement.
Accidentally turning off with two taps. I might not have that problem or not... just don't know.

Listen, I'm a Precious fanboy. Absolutely love my v1 and would love to love the v2 w/JD but like I said this is not what I was expecting to hear. You don't hear things like this when people discuss their Reo.
If I weren't so strapped for money now I'm sure I would have pulled the trigger but I've got to make sure I'm doing the right thing.

Could you guys that have got yours give me some reassurance regarding the above issues.

1. "When it works..." How dependable is the JD?
2. Juice viscosity, what are you finding works best... dependable. How would a 60% VG blend work?
3. How are you measuring volts to make sure what the LED says is reality?

I really must depend on you guys because as you know communication with C. and Mark is limited at best.
I mean a Reo holds six ml and is about half the cost but I really love my Precious... hits like no other but just sayin' this is not at all what I expected to hear.

I need a bit more reassurance.

TIA

DC, I promise to be first in line to buy it off of you if you do not like it. Promise. It really is an improvement over the v1!

I mix my own juice. Here is the ratio that I finds works best for me:
25- nic + PG + flavor
65- VG
10- water

My multi tester does not report correctly, must be the waveform and my obsolete meter. I go by feel for now and the feel is accurate. Vape LR at ties at "3.6" and regular at "4.6". It does well. These are the numbers I've fallen on over the course of the past 10 days.

Been through about 10 tankfuls now. The first two with my usual 15/85 mix did not feed to well for me. Found I needed to do a 'pressure blow trick' too often. The new mix flows better. 6 tanks have gone ok start to finish. A couple required me to remove the Atty and blow it out (flooded). The learning curve for the tank is not that steep. A quicker pressure blow with the thinner liquid gets it's feeding from a fresh fill.

New procedure (I've found in the limited time given) is to fill the tank mounted on the device. Cap it. Drip 7~10 drops in the center and install the Atty. Vape, maybe one pressure blow, vape 'till done.

It hasn't leaked up to 90 degrees when the tank is closed completely. Can rest it on a flat surface OK. I have noticed a little liquid on the outside of the device when it was not closed all the way, but that is to be expected. I have not dropped the unit, nor attempted to hold it upside down. I'm sure a drop or two will leak if it is held upside down, if not from the space between the tank and the Atty then probably from the Atty itself.

Since we are all pretty new to the usage, the 'when it works' comments should probably taken lightly at this point. The only experts willing to post info have < 2 weeks experience!

Thanks modistru! I figured I could sell if I was bummed but I would rather it work. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get it and within a day or so.
I just so much want it to work. I don't want to have to fiddle with it much nor clean it every night... gimmie a break. And really I'll probably go with an 18650 because I like sticking a freshly charged battery in the morning and not worrying about it for the rest of the day. Looking for that kind of experience with the JD. The Precious hits so hard that I find with a LR atty or even a regular atty I'm satisfied all day even when the bat has dropped to 3.9.

Your mix sounds pretty close to mine.

I don't care if it leaks when upside down but laying on it's side might be a bummer although I've got a couple of little tube stands I've built to set it in. I've heard some folks have loosened the cap a bit to create the right amount of vacum... are you doing that?

Really your remarks have helped ease my concerns so again, thanks. My biggest concern was, all us v1 users know just how special it is and it would only be natural coming from that plus spending 209 to want to say positive things and hearing what I was hearing just surprised me a bit.
