JR, thank you for letting us know how your Precious is doing. :)Can't wait till mine gets here and will continue reading everyone's input on it until mine arrives. Hopefully by then I will have and idea of what to do and expect so please continue to update us as things move along. Pretty sure you will pick up tips and tricks that will be helpful to others and I will do the same when I get mine.

Modistru, if that "sticker" thing was meant to be a washer of some sort, try and see if you can find a paper thin teflon washer that will fit from your local Home Depot or Lowe's. Don't worry if the outer size is too big as it can be trimmed to replace the old one.

Aloha, Keith
It's all looking good brotha! Aloha .aka vape

Yo brother vape, I bet the excitement and anticipation is kicking your ... right now eh?
Been a damn long and bumpy road for us to actually get to this stage and feels pretty similar to what we felt a year ago remember? Seems like Deja vu that one year later both you and I at the same place that we were once before. I remember how you beat me in the ordering by one number ya ....... only because I was lost, couldn't figure out how to complete the order and had the wrong paypal address linked to my Precious account.

This time you beat me by a few days, mine says sent out from Romania on the 4th of march so I should be about 4 days behind you. The only thing different this time is, I cannot find an order number so how do we know what number we are? Are we going to be counted as "batch" numbers this time? I am not even sure what batch I was in:laugh:

i got my paypal notice today, after listen to everyone who recieved the precious and what i can see is that they are being sent out in fine order, there were a couple of problems but what i think is that the batteries were installed incorrectly, and that being sad im going to purchase the precious,it does look kinda interesting and if im carefull and understand the working before i screw with it it should be all good, for your info i was order #184, i think been a long time since it was ordered, besides look at the problems there having with the darwin

The first 40 orders are previous owners AFAIK.

Been through a few tanks now. Got a mostly VG mix thinned right(ish). Broke some standard Joye 510's out for the first time in a while. They are performing great at 4.5 for me.

Congrats k9!

Jolly, that prime/blow trick working for you too? Flooded a couple of times for me... Working "the curve" :). It does get it going again. No fuss.

@k9frog: I shouldn't think there'd be any problem with 18350 IMRs as they should be just as wide and long as regular UNprotected li-ion 18350s. I think I read somewhere someone saying you couldn't put "regular li-ion" _protected_ 18350 as the total length would be just a tad too long for the unit (you'd have to force the top cap to thread on the battery compartment, it wouldn't close all the way and you'd be straining the spring which apparently isn't all that great to begin with).

But IMR 18350s should be fine (get ready for a serious amperage cut vs. "regular li-ion" batteries, though -- my IMR 18650 are a mere 1400mah while my protected regular li-ion Trustfires are 2400mah).

@modistru: Yes it is working... for the most part. I have had flooding a couple times also. If I have two hands avail, I find just loosening the top cover some and taking non powered hits till I start to hear the slightest bubbling, then close the top cap works good. If I don't have two hands (driving) I have used the method you suggest. I find the JD inconsistent, but when it is working, it is nirvanna.

I put 2 18350s in yesterday morning and used them all day @4.2v on a 2.4Ω atty. Used it at work, in the car, at home etc etc. Using my old SD carry pouch with it and it fits perfect.

I need to put in an 18650 and get a xmeter out to set voltage and use it with a LR atty...

Agreed on all points. I finally have to upgrade my 25 year old Heathkit Multimeter. It can't keep up with the waveform I guess as it reports incorrectly and fluctuates regardless of the voltage setting. I suppose I could use a cap to clean it up, but I've been looking for an excuse to upgrade :)

Try running the LR at ~3.2v It works great with an 18650.

Which 18350's are you running? I have some AW IMR's coming in a few weeks.

Quick update, tracking shows that mine is here in Hawaii already. Tracking did not say the usual "out for delivery" yet and only said that it had arrived at 5:21 am on March 9th. The good thing is, once it's in Hawaii, there's no where else it can go but straight to me.

Note, mine was sent out on March 4th. Will update later.

Aloha, Keith

thats pretty good time keith, that means i should have mine end of next week dam my batteries wont be here in time

K9, it might be due to the fact that the flight came directly to Hawaii and did not go through the regular routes such as NY or SF like it usually does. Being on an island does on rare occasion have it's perks. I just don't want to give people false hope to think that their shipping times will be the same. I know how painful the wait is, trust me I do.

Aloha, Keith
