OK, more build questions.
I've been shooting for building 2(ish) ohm single coils and to vape somewhere in the 7.5 to 8 watt (3.6 to 4.3 volt) range.
Is there any reason I would want to build a single coil with a higher resistance than 2 ohms? Most of the discussion I've seen seems to center around getting the ohms or resistance down and cranking up the wattage for more vape/flavor.
Hi there guys and gals.
I hope everyone has been misbehaving....

For a cooler vape really...........and although I haven't tried it, I don't know how one would get better flavor by sub-ohming and cranking up the wattage.
HEY EDD!

I can def see where that's coming from. Some juice do have a slightly different flavor profile at different wattage. I loooove my bakery and NET juices at 15 watts and above.
But the other thing really is that with higher wattage, theres more heat to vaporize the juice and you get a denser vape. If you consider the vapor to be made up of tiny particulates of juice, then you can see why the flavor intensifies.
Having said that, taking things to the extreme is counter productive. Some juice just get cooked and burnt at high wattages. Also higher wattage = hotter, and you'll typically need to increase the airflow to either cool it down or to cloud chase. That in effect "dilutes" the vapor and mutes the flavor![]()

And I'm still sore I can't get a TGT right. Hahahahahahahahaahha (yes I know I say that every single time you bring up the TGT. I'm THAT sore)
In any case, whatever works for you is the best set up. I've never felt the need to subohm or go into high wattage vaping. I do it only because I like trying out stuff, and happened to like it some times based on my mood and juice.

It isn't skill, you seem to do way better than I do.
I have no real interest to sub-ohm but I have felt that I need to keep some type of log on what I build and the details (what it is, the resistance, the wire, etc). I have 7-8 different toppers now and keeping track of what works the best and trying variations is hard when you aren't really paying attention.
So low ohm or even sub ohm vaping is for vape production only?
and increasing the resistance of the coil (above 2 ohms) cools the vape? I assume this is at the same voltage because it takes more voltage to heat the coil due to higher resistance?
