She has that "I have you under my thumb, human!" look going on. Cats are very in tune to their pet human's emotions, so I believe they do certain things when we are "off"
Definitely. I was just curious as to your take on it. I thought about converting to an all meat diet for her as I would imagine it's most natural but kept reading conflicting arguments wet vs dry. I always have water out for her and she lets me know when it's empty... so I imagine she's drinking enough. Her litter doesn't really smell unless it needs to be cleaned but I use litter that counteracts the smell. If I use anything other than FreshStep, it smells from day one. That was a myth that was started by the grain companies to try and get folks to buy their product. Their thought was the wet food (mostly pâté) was not abrasive enough to keep teeth clean,,like the dry does. In reality, the crunching of dry kinda explodes off the tips and doesn't clean like they say it did. Reality is, neither one is bad or good in that aspect. The only thing that really is "good" for their teeth is something with whole meat muscle tissue (I.e. a piece of fresh chicken etc).
A good quality dry food is not bad, as long as your cat drinks enough water to not get dehydrated. Some cats simply do not drink enough, while others do. In the wild, a cat gets over 95% of its hydration from the food it eats.
I wish I could use at least some dry food, as it is convenient, but the health issues of one of the cats prevents it. It is easy to spot when a cat isn't getting enough water...especially when you scoop the litter box. A strong urine smell, and small puddle clumps are the easiest signs to spot.
So not saying a wet food diet is "best" for every cat, it just happens to be what works the best in my home
That pic was the early stages...shortly after that I get the "love taps" on the side of the face...followed by the full on pimp-slap with claws, then finally the little bites
She is my shadow.

MoMo is my shadow. Just not she's jumping up. She had to go say hi to my brother who just came home. She really loves him. She's very affectionate to me and select other people. To random people, she's indifferent.
Everyone's got grey tabbies!
Well, not everyone, but you know, like 3 in a row...

Tabbies are the best. I love the stripes. Mine even has some spots near her stomach. She's definitely a unique animal. I got her from the animal shelter I used to work at. I was supposed to have a different cat but the day I went to go pick him up, my friend's dad gave him away. (jerk) Went to 3 or 4 different pet stores til finally I decided to make the 35 minute drive to the shelter and see what they had. Well, they were overstuffed with kittens and she was the first one I saw. It was between her and this male black and white cat. She licked my nose... so she won.Everyone's got grey tabbies!
