OK that Royal Blend I was vaping all day yesterday gave me some interesting ideas. It's basically the unholy ....... child of a woodsy tobacco RY4 and a waffles/syrup blend. Now I've never had a breakfast juice I liked...they all strike me as too one-dimensionally sweet. But if failed pancake juice can be turned into all-day bliss by the addition of some tobacco (note: I'm not denigrating Brian of VapeKing's talent at blending, just thinking out loud), why not reach into my reject drawer and do some experimenting?

10mls of JW Waffles n Maple Syrup plus 1 drop of VG plus 5 drops of Peter Stuyvesant tobacco concentrate plus one drop of TPA tobacco....and we have a winner. Far less sweet than breakfast juice alone and with a nice twang from the tobacco.

Next project: NLV Waffles plus Desert Ship concentrate plus one drop of Want2Vape Morley (the nastiest, ashiest analog liquid ever and I mean that as a compliment). Bingo! Another go-to sweet juice that doesn't overwhelm.

I'm so glad I didn't get rid of all my pancake-waffle juices! I should note that none of these blasphemous experiments are as good as Royal Blend, but they are in the same ballpark.

Eliquid planet essence liquid gold

It's light, nutty, dry, fairly sweet .....tobacco flavor not very strong....its really like in between ry4 and a 555 ....blend...its interesting I don't think I would buy it though.....good th, good vapor

I agree, dog. Our colleague Snus likes Liquid Gold a lot and sent me some to sample (presumably because the site description mentions "RY4 lovers"). I posted about it roughly two weeks ago, in post #2470. I didn't pick up the nuttiness---which you did (correctly). You're definitely right about it being subtly like a 555.

From that post:

I've now sampled the Essence Liquid Gold (and PM'd Snus with my reactions). It's a straightforward sweet tobacco blend, and quite OK as such, but it's definitely not an RY4. I taste no vanilla at all and the barest smidgen of caramel, if any. But what I taste might be sweetener rather than caramel. I simply can't tell. It's a nice vape, and I can understand why Snus likes it so much. But even the most subtle RY4 I know of---which is probably rwvapor RY4, one of my new faves---has sufficient caramel and vanilla to clearly taste those flavorings in the mix.

Anyway, since Liquid Gold is not an RY4, I'm not going to review it here on the thread. No harm, no foul.

My thanks to Snus for going to the trouble of sending it to me.

scarf,

I love reading about your mad scientist Frankenjuice experiments! Your post reminded me about PY4, one of vapor.....'s Beta Lab experimental juices, which is sort of RY4-meets-pancakes-with-maple syrup---by adding tobacco, caramel, and vanilla to a pancake/syrup juice. PY4 wasn't really my cup of tea, but it was certainly original.

I feel the same way you do about most pancakes/waffles-and-syrup breakfast juices---they should be tasty, but for some reason aren't that wonderful to me. Like so many juices that attempt to translate foods into vaping form, the idea is better than the reality. With pancakes/waffles, it's either not enough maple and cake flavor or just too cloyingly sweet.

Anyway, you've inspired me to put on my lab coat, call up Igor from the dungeon, and try creating some unholy concoctions of my own. I have most of the ingredients you mentioned (or others that are similar), so I think I'll try breathing life back into some breakfast juices that I thought were dead (or not worth vaping, LOL).

I'm especially curious to see if NLV Waffles can be transformed into something yummy to my palate.

Thanks for the recipes!

My post was tongue-in-cheek (just in case that wasn't obvious).

I like music from nearly every genre---Irish jigs, hornpipes, and reels, classical orchestral and ensemble, renaissance, folk, blues, rock 'n roll (of all decades and sub-genres), country, Japanese koto and kabuki, opera, Bulgarian women's choir, sitar ragas, Broadway showtunes, jazz from all eras (from '20s/'30s Louis Armstrong and Django Reinhardt through '40s bebop and big band through '50s Miles Davis and Dave Brubeck cool, to '60s fusion, '70s Keith Jarrett solo piano improv, to '80s Eberhard Weber and Pat Metheny), ragtime, baroque, Gregorian chants, techno, drone, ambient, industrial, disco, dub, Motown, R&B, funk, a cappella, barbershop, reggae, ska, calypso, salsa, acoustic, electronic, world, zydeco---OK, I know I'm leaving out a thousand other genres, but you get the drift.

I'm not saying that I like every piece of music I hear, just that the genre doesn't matter.

And yes, this whole discussion is waaaaaayyyyy Off Topic, but it's so much fun! We'll get back to RY4s soon enough...

Yeppers, WAY off topic! Bulgarian Women's Choir. You just reminded me that I love Le Mystere des voix Bulgares; I need to find the CD and import it into my collection!

We have some of the same tastes! From the 70's era - Jon Luc Ponty on electric violin, Gary Burton on vibes, Keith Jarrett, Chick Corea and Return to Forever with Flora Purim on vocals and her husband Airto Morierto on percussion! Stanley Clarke on Bass. Django really made gypsy jazz popular, yay for me, I love it.

I could go on..........
But back to RY4. I didn't taste the Madd Catt Vapors RY4s yet. Tomorrow :)

Where can I get paid to do this again? Lol that would be nice paid to vape!

I saw that awhile back, then it was slightly changed. I think its good. At first I thought heeeeeey me? Then I rolled my eyes and moved on. We are legit but new people don't know better ya know and thats true, at least it was for me...

ECF is a stickler to those rules and we probably all know one sweet lady who was almost banned because they thought she was an affiliate while she was only head over heels for a vendor.....
ECF should have a bigger warning that reads.....don't buy the mall kiosk ecigs lol

Oh Dawg, you are so right on that one!

It's my fault Scarfy got the NLV Waffles. That was the great NLV fiasco. Because NLV doesn't ship to Australia, I bought Scarfys order from NLV, and shipped it to Australia for her. I tried to get her Bounty Hunter and Gold, but one of them showed as "out of stock" five minutes after NLV's website opened for business, so I ordered Waffles, then I immediately emailed the owner to get Scarfy's order changed to the correct juice. The owner of NLV said he never saw the email. When I got the Waffles, I called the owner of NLV, and he refused to correct the order. He said "oh yeah, I found the email, but it was your mistake, you ordered wrong, I'm not going to send you "free juice". So I am sorry, Scarf-ace, that you got Waffles, it was my fault.

Hey it wasn't a huge order, but for me, $153 worth of juices is a big order for me. It was about my fifteenth or twentieth order from NLV.

I'd also like to find a way to make NLV Waffles palatable. Glad I only got a 30 ml bottle. It tastes pretty bland and dull to me.

No need to apologize, Sandy, I am grateful enough that you did all that for me :):):) And it wound up being useful as you can tell!
I recall you like DK Tab. Try a few drops of that in the waffle juice. I am quite enjoying my "breakfast tobaccos", they are not as tiresome as straight waffle/pancake juices

Sandy,

Yes, "Le Mystere des voix Bulgares" was indeed the exact album I was thinking of when I mentioned the Bulgarian Women's Choir. But then, that is sort of the most "famous" album of that style.

Whenever I think of Weather Report, "Birdland" starts playing inside my head, even though that band went through many incarnations with different players over a decade and a half. Jaco Pastorius wasn't my favorite bass player of all time (neither was Stanley Clarke, for that matter---my all-time favorite spot is reserved for Jack Casady of Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna), but what incredible staccato licks Jaco could pull off in that unique sound of his! Why do so many amazing musicians die so young? Mozart, Charlie Parker, Pastorius, Hendrix, et al? Maybe the percentages aren't that much higher than for the general population, but it sure seems like a lot of musical geniuses die off early. Not really built to live in the real world, I guess.

Yeah, I noticed that too .... when someone really excels at an art, giving to the world that beautiful spirit thing that I can only think to call God, or The Universal Spirit, or Love, they fail miserably at something else about being human to balance the whole thing out. Kind of yin and yang. I'd put Jim Morrison and Janis Joplin in there too. I gained much more respect for Jim Morrison when I was friends with a woman who had been his girlfriend. She turned me on to a book of poetry he had written, that just blew me away.

Speaking of surprisingly amazing musicians. I never realized how deep Michael Nesmith was until one of his girlfriends gave me the album "The Prison". It was about the box, the prison that we create for ourselves.

Mozart started so young, though, it wasn't really a surprise.

Jimi Hendrix was absolutely one of my favorite musicians of all time.

Sandy,

Look, dear, I don't mean to be sarcastic or offensive, but if you had just googled "MaddCatt RYW4 review," you would have discovered that:

• ogredog already did mini reviews of both MaddCatt Madhatter RYJ4 and RYW4 here in the thread, in post #2255 on July 30th.

• thehangdude already did full reviews of both MaddCatt Madhatter RYJ4 and RYW4 here in the thread, in post #2485 on August 27th.

• And I already did full reviews of both MaddCatt Madhatter RYJ4 and RYW4 here in the thread, in post #2548 on September 5th.

1 Stop DIY Shop.....R~J Four

So I guess I missed the boat in doing my own juice like most veterans, I go to a DIY shop and still get premixed juice, go figure ;)......

R~J Four "An old favorite. Our remake of the complex RY4."

Does RY4 have to be complex maybe so I mean there is a thread for it with 2596 post:laugh:. Yum yum, good but nothing new here for most. They put nut in it, no big shocker right and it does control the flavor. This juice is nice and creamy, the vanilla and caramel are mixed good with a nutty high tone. Vapor production is medium and throat hit is light which at 8mg thats about normal for me. The price was not bad, just over $14 for 30ml during a 20% off which is still going on. So is it a Complex RY4???? mmmm not to me and I really doubt R~J Four will leave anyone dumbfounded.

Crap...I forgot about the tobacco..... anyways this juice may have just got complex I cant find the tobacco."scratching head' is that dandruff hahaha . if its there they covered it up good with the nut tone.
