Review of MaddCatt Vapors juices:

It made a difference what I vaped them with. I put them all in Vivi Nova tanks. They had the best flavor on an Ego Twist.

Honey Flue - Nice sweet tobacco. Mellow and easy to vape.
RYW4 - Sweet and something spicy-fakey similar to Highbrow Vapor RY4. Not for me.
RYJ4 - Didn't like it at all the first day. Day 2, I am starting to like it, maybe even a lot. Rich and sweet, caramel tones, light tobacco.

Ah, wonderful new term you just invented: "spicy-fakey." Says so much in only two words. Although my brain doesn't have the same reaction to RYW4 that yours did, I think I can identify the flavor (or whatever it is) to which you refer.

And yes, RYJ4 should please lovers of sweeter RY4s. When I consciously put myself into that mode, the J-version is better than the C+ grade I gave it. I just don't want to have to be "conscious" or represent palates other than my own when vaping. LOL.

Next time I play parochial-school-marm-Catholic-nun with you, I'll be sure to add the times of the posts, as well their dates, post #s, countries of origin, names of posters, and the weather wherever they were at the time of the post.

To be clear, it's not that I think you're lazy---I'm well acquainted with your kindness and generosity, so laziness is not an issue---and it's OK to ask questions about stuff like this, plus there's no law that says that everyone has to read every post in this long thread. I was just a bit surprised that you either missed or didn't remember three different reviews of both juices over a five-week period. But then, maybe you have a real life that competes with ECF (unlike me...).

Y'all may not remember but I did review JuiceLadyOfIllRepute Del's Ultimate Pipe way back in July:

If you like Mom & Pop's RY4, you'll love DUP.

As it happens I've got a package from Del on its way to me right now. Cartomizers mostly, plus 10mls of her Apple Hookah tobacco. She is an excellent vendor and a wonderful juice artisan.

Got my order from Halo today, bought 30 mls of Tribeca and a 7 ml bottle of Turkish. The turkish is really good, wish Halo had an option between 7 and 30 mls (say 15 maybe) cause now I wish i had gotten 30. Now I have to place another order LOL. Other than Turkish and Tribeca, what would you guys / gals recommend from Halo? Another footnote, my 7ml sample bottle of Tribeca from my first Halo purchase is about empty, figured I would be waiting several weeks before I could stomach more Tribeca since the first bottle had to steep 3 months before I liked it. Guess what? When I opened the 30ml Tribeca bottle, that bug spray - hospital disinfectant undertone was not noticable at first whiff. So, I gambled with a half empty carto and filled it up with fresh Tribeca and to my surprise, it is good! Maybe I got lucky and Halo had a batch with some age on it or maybe they have changed their formula some. It tastes the same as the steeped liquid.

Or another possibility - since I am in the 50-60 age class, maybe my mind/taste is starting to go! But, getting older is much better than the alternative.

On Target,
If you like menthol, Halo has some really good ones. Their Mystic and their True Pure are very good. I haven't had any others but Menthol Ice, and it tasted of peppermint (yuck).

I would like to try all their flavors. I just can't see spending $1/ml for samples. But my 30ml of Tribeca is half gone, so I might need to place an order someday. I will try the Turkish if that happens.

On Target,

I've tried various Turkish blends from about ten different sources, including DIY flavoring concentrates. One of the juices is Halo Turkish, which I got recently as a freebie. I was pleasantly surprised to find it quite good (meaning no funny base flavor). Maybe Halo is easing off their "purity" signature (which some people love, but I'm in the opposite group to whom it tastes weird---like hospital disinfectant). For better or worse, Halo Turkish doesn't seem to have much if any of that base tone.

My favorite of all I've tried is Turkish Blend from AromaEJuice (that's one of the WTA (whole tobacco alkaloids) vendors, but I bought mine without WTA---it's much cheaper that way, and anyway, WTA never did anything for me). Aroma's Turkish is super smooth and almost creamy, with a just hint of sweetness. I really love it. For my palate, it's definitely a cut above any other Turkish I've had.

I'd been vaping Aroma Turkish for quite awhile in one of my regulated 5-volt bottom feeders with a 3.0 ohm HH357 attie, but the 357 just died yesterday after four months. As good as it was, I don't think I'll pay the freight for another one. A 2.5 ohm i06 isn't quite as wonderful for flavor, but it'll be good enough, since I already have three of those.

Dude, I am not much of a menthol person and never did smoke menthols back in the day. However, I did get a menthol flavor in my initial sample pack order from Mountain Oak Vapors (Frostbite) and find myself dripping it on occasion. In time, I could become a menthol fan. Halo has a 555 that is not bad (was included in my sampler pack) but I cannot remember what they call it. I will put Mystic and True Pure on my "to try list" for down the road.

One of my favourite analog cigarettes, when I could find them, were Camel Turkish Royal in a blue and gold pack. They were the perfect combination of smooth and slightly sweet with a buttery vanilla aftertaste (if memory serves, which it probably doesn't because I am over 30 LOL). I really enjoyed them. I haven't tried any "Turkish" e-liquids yet. Maybe Halo is the way to go? Although I am very very tempted by The Plume Room....anything describing iteslf as "toasted" is interesting to me.

Bill, thanks for the suggestion on Turkish Blend from AromaEJuice. I will put this on my GROWING "to try list". BWB's Casablanca has been and still is one of my go-to vapes. I have only tried Casablanca, Dekang and now Halo's turkish blend. I like all but Dekang, I just cannot seem to develop an appreciation for the Chinese juices yet. Maybe in time, my palate seems to change about as fast as the weather any more!
