passer,
With all the great Classic RY4s available, there's no reason you should ever have to vape a Custom RY4, much less ask yourself why you don't like them. That's part of the beauty of having so many RY4s in the marketplace. Odds are really quite high of finding at least one RY4---and often many more than just one---that most palates will cuddle up to and enjoy.
When I read posts on other threads from people who write that they don't like RY4, I always wonder if they've tried any of the top-rated RY4s from The Big List. While I'm sure that some RY4 non-fans have tried at least one great RY4 and still didn't like it, I'd bet that others haven't had anything but some of the lesser lights on the list.
I have been vaping some of the orginal RY4 - Janty DK Series - this afternoon in a different clearomizer than what I originally used about a month or so ago. At that time I replied to the thread that "I just do not get it", meaning I really did not like it. Most of the time I prefer a custom RY4 and lately, the NET RY4's have been my preference.
Well, I think I am now "getting it" with this classic Janty DK. Maybe the first clearo was bad, maybe a few extra weeks of steeping helped (probably both). This stuff is pretty good! Has a nice smoky tobacco hit (albeit synthetic) and I really like the sweet/sour characteristic of this juice. Not too sweet and sour enough to please my palate. (dessert RY4's are not my thing)
Usually the "Chinesey" juices turn me off but I am starting to come around. Passer - you really should give Tribeca another try - the "sage" is absent since Halo changed whatever they did to their base. Tribeca is not as Chinesey as Janty but pretty close for an American juice.
