specs: The 10ml bottle of RY4 I purchased from PandaEcigs contains a gold-colored transparent liquid at 24mg nic strength in an 80/20 PG/VG base. Nose of the juice is very slight but pleasant. Testing was done by dripping into a 2.2 ohm 510 atty powered by a VAMO set to 7.5 watts RMS.
I must be crazy. Why would I buy a retail RY4 from a vendor that is closing out its juice line? If its fantastic, people wont be able to get it. If its terrible, I wasted my money, and the juice will vanish anyway. I guess I did it because of PandaEcigs 50% off liquidation sale (by using coupon code LIQUIDSALE).
PandaEcig is phasing out their juice line in favor of going with hardware only. Their juices are (uh, were) formulated and supplied by Panda's parent company, ApolloEcigs, but theyre not merely re-labeled Apollo juices. Heres the description of Panda RY4 from the product page:
An incredibly unique flavor that is incomparable and a customer favorite. A tobacco base flavor infused with hints of caramel, butterscotch and walnuts. It is like a dessert tobacco that doesn't overpower the palate. It yields a warm and smooth taste that is sweet but not at all sugary. A must try E-liquid for an exceptional flavor in your vaping experience.
Butterscotch? Walnuts? OK, so this is a custom RY4, unlike Apollo RY4, which is a classic. I guess the flavorists at Apollo wanted to try their hand at a different style of RY4. Its definitely a sweeter dessert-style juice. The walnuts help tone down the sweetness a little, but its still quite sweet. The description asserts that it's not sugary, but it does leave a bit of stickiness on my lips, which tends to be characteristic of juices with added sweeteners. Sometimes I don't like that. Here it's OK. I cant make out the caramel, but the relatively neutral synthetic tobacco comes through nicely, along with the butterscotch and walnut. The overall blend works nicely, assuming, of course, that you like those somewhat unusual flavors (unusual for an RY4, I mean).
If you lean toward the leaner, non-sweet RY4s---such as Dekang RY4 (the version they sold in 2012; I havent tried the new DK-4 version Dekang is selling now), or prefer classic RY4s in general, then you probably wont like Panda RY4. If, on the other hand, you like sweet custom RY4s, this one is worth adding to your collection, but youll have to act quickly to get some before its gone forever.
Since PandaEcigs RY4 wont be available much longer, Im not going to put it on
The Big RY4 Lists, but I will note that it once existed in the Discontinued section.
