THANK YOU Bill...........and every one else for this "Round Up"..........i have been searching for a nice tobacco vape and going through this thread i decided on the VR4 from Vaperite with my free bottle being the RY4 I selected 18mg 50/50 on the VR4 and they sent RY4 16mg 50/50. Now i have the Halo G6 and their sample pack of tobacco juices and i have tried JC Domestic and Tennessee Blend but this VR4 is just soooooo good!! I must admit after fast steeping the tribeca and JC juices they are better than out of the mail but this VR4 from VapeRite is good straight from the mail..........I haven't stopped vaping it yet 5hrs so far. I am new to all this so i am very happy to find a good juice so quick.........:rickroll:

Thank You so much for your in depth reviews of these flavors and companies and i look forward to trying more from this thread maybe after your update around thanksgiving ( i believe you said) I'll go for your top 3!!!!!:toast:

Ahlusion Caramel WW is good; really good.! Again, Wlad knocks it out of the park with this one. His caramel is unique- rich, creamy, sweet & delicious.. I often wonder why he hasn't just jumped head first into RY4 production- he's just so damn talented

This is their RY4 Tobacco : Gold Rising

I haven't tried it yet but my next order will include some.

Ohhh... not so fast.... Ahlusion Gold Rising is not RY4 in a traditional sense. Although I adore it, and have about 240 mls steeping at different stages right now, It tastes nothing like Ry4. It's a very hearty tobacco topped with fermented honey. Many love it, but just as many don't. I recommend that you order a small quantity until you figure out if its for you or not.

KC,

Soon after Gold Rising became available from Ahlusion, I purchased a bottle and reviewed it for the thread. Then those of us here who had tried it had a discussion about whether or not Gold Rising was an RY4 according to the basic definitions used on the thread---tobacco, caramel, and vanilla. We concluded that Gold Rising was not an RY4, even if Ahlusion stated that it was. As a result, it is not included on The Big RY4 List.

Like Randy, I feel that Gold Rising is a delicious and noteworthy juice. It's just not an RY4.

Sorry for the vague question in advance.....

Hangsen RY4 is my ADV. At times, I get a buttery taste that is just so good to me that I could pop the top off of my Ithaka and drink the juice out of it! LOL HOWEVER, I don't always get this. Some bottles just don't seem to give me the same butteriness.

SO, could you guys recommend some RY4 blends that are fairly heavy on the butter?? I haven't seen many people describe tasting the butter, but I can't be the only one....can I? Thanks!

Hmmm.

Off the top of my head, get some VapeRite VR4. It has a very rich and buttery caramel, more like poured caramel ice cream topping than a caramel candy. Another choice would be KickBassVapor RY4.

As for other choices, check out the list below. It's the "Caramel Rich" RY4s from the Category Groups page of The Big RY4 List. Obviously, not all of the RY4s below will have a buttery taste, but some probably do (I just can't keep in my head how every RY4 tastes...).

By the way, butter is a difficult flavor in vaping, because it's often made with diacetyl, which is apparently OK to eat in food flavorings but potentially harmful to be inhaled into the lungs, or so various research studies have found.

Most flavoring companies used diacetyl to make their buttery/creamy/custard/dairy flavorings, but as these companies have discovered a new market in ecig juice flavorings, many are now removing diacetyl from their products. Whether the ingredients these flavoring companies (i.e., Capella, FlavourArt, The Perfumer's Apprentice, etc.) use as substitutes for diacetyl in their buttery flavorings are safe remains to be seen.

Some vapers are unconcerned about the small amounts of diacetyl they may be inhaling. Other are concerned. Each vaper makes up his/her own mind about this issue.

Just a head's up.

This is less a suggestion and more of a comment on the topic of buttery RY4. To me (and possibly me only lol) MountainOakVapors Full Virginia Flake RY4 had a very buttery feel to it. It was the caramel that was buttery to me. That was the main reason I wan't a big fan FVF RY4, the caramel gave me a buttery popcorn vibe. I haven't seen other people give that impression, so it may just have been something my brain translated that way.

Either way not a suggestion for you, as it's a naturally extracted tobacco RY4 and pretty far from your Hangsen RY4. For someone who is actually looking for a NET RY4 I would suggest it (though after suggestion GoodeJuice's GJ4 which I personally prefered).

Thanks guys! You are very generous with your time.

I will also add that the "butter" flavor is probably a very fine line. Even though I love the hint of it I get sometimes with the Hansgen, I also realize that there could be too much of it. Its like i get just enogh to want more. If i actually got more, i might not like it. LOL As of now, I think that the higher nic levels of Hansgen RY4 give me more of that particular flavor.

It is probably just coincidence, however. Nic level should have nothing to do with flavor, right?

I just got Vapre rites VR4 over the weekend and that was the very first thing that i tasted BUTTER and it was sooooo good that has been my ADV since, I did get a chance to goto some B&M's over the weekend and get some of their RY4's but they just didn't hold a candle to the VR4. I will try the others Bill suggested as far as caramel rich though, it looks like that is MY sweet spot for vaping.

Thanks

My experience is that nic level definitely affects flavor. That may not be "objectively" true, but the same juice tastes very different to me at differing nic levels.

I'm not sure how much nic effects the actual flavor, but I do know for me it changes the perceived flavor quite a bit. Nic in vape juice is like seasoning in food. Too little seasoning, the food tastes bland; zero and low nic juice tastes very bland to me. Too much seasoning can overpower food; more nic than I'm used to overpowers the flavor. Season food just right, the flavor pops; and a nic level I'm used to provides the best flavor for me.

I can and have gotten used to lower nic levels, but takes a little time. I'm not sure if zero nic juice would ever taste right to me; I'd think food with no seasoning would always feel like it was missing something.

I just entered the forum but timing is everything....
I just started the Full Virginia Flake RY4 this evening after 6 day steep (couldn't wait 2-3 weeks) and I would say the caramel is still in front of the vanilla and tobacco, based on my taste budds only and yes, there is a sense of butteriness, Has to be the caramel.

Should I remember correctly, other reviews here speak of a better balance of the ingredients after longer steep times. so the
buttery' flavor would diminish.

So this is no review of MOV Full Virginia Flake RY4, because there are Pro Budds here who have done them and their sense of the nuances of RY4 I may never match. Tho' my budds KNOW POPCORN (it's a food) and I detect none in this great N-E-T blend.

I personally stay away from diacetyl and diacetyl substitutes. Their are concerns about some of the diacetyl substitutes being used. Here is a well written post by Mr Mann:
