I like Blend 4.. To me it has a piney type of taste.. Christmas tree kind of taste. Try some at 35% off.

I have no doubt that many vapers like/love Blend 4. Certain BackwoodsBrew tobaccos share that piney-ness. For me personally, pine is sort of a problem. Rather than pine trees and the great outdoors, my brain associates it with Pine-Sol cleaner, which is more than a little off-putting. I think my reaction to pine (as well as my negative reaction to the Halo "purity" tone) may have more to do with brain chemistry than with experiential associations, though. Obviously, Blend 4 and similar juices are fine for many others, just not for me.

Mountain Oak Vapors already has two RY4s, their NET (Full Virginia Flake) and their original (Classic CountRY). With their third RY4, Gambler, they went dessert.

Gambler goes farther into the dessert category than any RY4 I've tried yet. It has a gooey, rich caramel out front. Just behind the caramel is a bright, sweet vanilla. Far to the rear is the tobacco. The tobacco is a light cigarette flavor, smooth and clean, and barely there.

If you like caramel, this is about as good as it gets. Gambler drips with the rich, creamy caramel. More of a topping than a candy, the caramel flavor is clean but gives a darkness to Gambler. This is offset by the bright, sweet vanilla. Together, they give Gambler a wonderful dessert flavor.

Gambler is not your classic RY4. If they called it Dulce de Leche, I would not be surprised. There is a mild tobacco, but it is way in the background. This blend is dessert RY4, all the way! As a flavor, I give Gambler an A. As a custom RY4, I would say B+ is fair.

(And so starts another care package for our review specialist, Bill.)

Early in the thread, back in 2011, a good dessert RY4 might have been enthusiastically reviewed and highly rated. These days, however, a B+ is about as good a grade as any dessert RY4 is likely to get from us. While there's nothing wrong with sweet juices---I'm quite enamored these days with Deadly Sin from GoodLifeVapor---a dessert-type RY4 no longer seems to me to represent the true art of a superb RY4.

We each do our part to keep this thread alive, Bill. Some of us create RY4s (a thing I could not do), some give our honest opinions on what we've tried, and some add to the thread with their questions. Together, we have created one of the most informative and interesting threads on ecf.

Thank you Bill, for starting (and maintaining) this monstrosity.

I appreciate ALL reviews, comments and opinions. I understand more about RY4s by reading everyone's different opinions. I do DIY some of my flavors, but would not even try to create my own RY4, there are several out there I really enjoy. And I have found them by reading everything in this thread and trying what I think will appeal to me. And I have found a few members who's tastes are right along with mine (Bill, you are included in this). AND I thank everyone who has been so generous to share samples of different flavors so I could try them without a major investment.

My Butterfly's shipped today. I hope it does not get lost in the mail like my Hope order did. Tampa, FL to Ocala, FL (2 hrs away) sat with status of "departed Tampa office" for over a week. I sent an email to the post office, however and, funny thing, it was in my mailbox the next day (after a trip to Jacksonville). At least with tracking we can follow up if there is a problem. The Hope R U For Real, btw, I think will be a little caramel heavy for my every day vape enjoyment, but when I am in the mood for a good more desserty style RY4, it will see action!

Bill, and everyone who contributes, I truly thank you for all your hard work, time and the money you invest in this quest. Too many to try on my own, but with your assistance my quest is becoming very fullfilling.

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving! I sure did. One of the things I am thankful for is all the friends I have made in the vape world!

KC33 would you mind sharing the parcel app that you use? I can't keep up and with all of these wonderful sales and I could use that handy app. I ordered shoes, clothes, and RY4's today...life is good. My husband, on the other hand, is in Kuwait and probably isn't going to be happy after today and Cyber Monday. For the record, I am guilty of ordering Butterfly, ITC Vapes and Mr. Vapes RY4's due to the informative reviews and "heads up" deals posted on this thread. Thanks again everyone who contributes daily, this is the best thread on the net concerning our beloved RY4.

Funny you mention this. I've been sick this week so all these flavors are changing. I had some Caramel Wild wood and I wasn't really tasting it, so I put about 4ml of Hangsen in. Well the butter came through like gangbusters even though I had never tasted this in the Hangsen RY4 before. Can't say I love it, and it might be in part because my taste buds are screwed up, but it is different. And different isn't always bad...

Never mind it was the Caramel Wild Wood with the butter taste, not the Hangsen. I like the buttery taste with the Hangsen, but as a stand alone it is just too much for me.

So glad I got to catch this. Thanks thehangdude. I'm already 'testing' Caramela but not being successful due to the continual enticement of Full Virginia. It is amazing to my budds. Being as how it was Black Friday I managed to re-order more FVFRY4 and added some Gambler and Southern Gentleman to try in a 3fer along with a 30ml refill of of FVFRY4. All at 24mg nic

[1st Flavor:Tennessee Gold Label - Full Virginia Flake RY4]
[2nd Flavor:Tennessee Gold Label - Southern Gentleman]
[3rd Flavor:Tennessee Tobacco - Gambler - High VG]

My new Kanger equip should do it justice, thanks to the help of Kent C.

Thank you KC33. I just downloaded the app this morning. FYI - I am still trigger happy. I also ordered (this morning) MOV's Full Virginia Flake. It was one of my first RY4's that I purchased at a local B & M here and I have completed two 15 ml bottles of it in the past and I am almost finished with my third bottle. It is definitely a staple in my collection. My humble and limited experience is that steeping MOV FVFRY4 for long periods of time is unnecessary (i.e., steep for 7 to 10 days max). It is consistently good if your quest is for a more prominent tobacco flavor blend RY4. Just my :2c:

Ah yes, another of the many vapers who mistakenly believe that Dekang was the "original" RY4.

Dekang's current version that came out earlier in 2013 is not even called "RY4." It's called "Dekang DK4."

Tell your friend to order some Janty RY4 DK Series to get as close as possible to the original.

He has and it's on the way.......thank you for your support.

No if I did not have it to spare I would not order. Also I would never point blame to anyone. It is " unusual " but I kind of like it but my taste probably still hasn't fully recovered after 40 + years of smoking,

Mr Vapes RY4 is one of the best I've ever tried. It holds an A grade in Bill's list. Now it is only $6.50 for 30mls. code is blackfriday

Mr Vapes has half off all ejuice, and their prices were already quite reasonable.

Ry4 - Mr Vape Inc.

Also their DK Tab is the best!

All this talk about Mr Vapes RY4 has me curious. I see they offer DK-Tab, so I'm assuming this is a house blend with Hanseng flavoring. Does their RY4 resemble Hanseng?

I don't know whether MrVape outsources their DK-TAB flavoring base or makes it in-house. If they use a premixed flavoring, it could be Hangsen DK-TAB or TPA DK-Tobacco, which I presume are probably similar.

Although both Hangsen and MrVape RY4s qualify as Classic (neutral synthetic tobacco, well-balanced ingredients, and relatively singular or unified overall taste), MrVape treads the line with Custom by emphasizing the caramel over the vanilla in the flavor profile. Hangsen RY4 is smoother overall and considerably sweeter. In Hangsen's retail RY4 juice, I pick up a very slight saltiness that counterbalances the sweetness, but I don't taste that in Hangsen's RY4 flavoring concentrate, which is more neutral in general. MrVape RY4 is a bit deeper, somewhat punchier, and more savory than sweet. The caramel elements are different also, with Hangsen's being creamier while MrVapes' is more like hard-candy. The vanillas may be different also, but I'm hard-pressed to identify how, since both RY4s are so well-blended. Don't take that as gospel, however---it's just how my palate reacts to the particular bottles I have of those juices.

They're each graded A on The Big RY4 Report Card, and both are very good, but neither could be mistaken for the other.

Mr Vapes does everything in house. All their flavors were created by one of the owners, Carmeron.

The DK Tab is very similiar to the DeKang, but it tastes clean and very good. You get the same flavors, but it is just better tasting.

I have been wondering about something, and this thread seems my best chance at an answer. Hangsen RY4 is my ADV at the moment. I have been having good luck getting it from Fast Tech, BUT shipping from there is a MESS, to put it lightly, lately. I have been thinking about ordering some from Made Vapes.

To my question........I've always seen Hangsen RY4 listed as 24mg, 18mg, 12mg, etc. at places like FT, and I use the 12mg. However, Mad Vapes has it listed as 24, 18, and 11. I wonder why theirs is 11 instead of 12??

I don't know. Ask Madvapes.
