joyetech's RY4 is very good.

Profile...

If the juice was a gal, it would be DKNG's RY4 sister; younger, more sophisticated. Physically similar -as in "yesss, they ARE sisters for sure- yet different. Smaller boobies. More "modern" and fashionable. More "chick". More lady-like, still a bit more on the porn-side of the spectrum, in a way. She wears fashionable glasses and a mesmerizing perfume. She vapes (while her sister smokes...). Short hair, brown (sister's blonde, long long...). She is a virgin, just not 100 %. Pure, yet nasty. True and at the same time full of fantasy. Cool. Indeed. She drives a scooter and looks a bit like a french girl from the 50s as she rides... Have always loved the idea of a Pony. Never such luck, though.

Well, I hope you get the picture. Oh, and last but not least, she has a penchant for champagne; She also loves dogs. Champagne; Dogs and Champange.

This makes total sense to me as an analogy. Oh, and while most opinions about e-liquids are subjective in nature, mine; today, right here, right now is not. 100 % Objective. =)

Best two posts of the week. Revolver's for the sensual richness of its imagery---all flash and hyperbole. Katdarling's for the eloquence of its Zen-like emptiness---all content and no form.

I'm not sure how long to steep it but you should be aware that Don has officially announced the discontinuation of both ejoker and ry4. Too much hassle.

Sad day in vapedom. ;-(((((((((

Wow, I just got my first, and apparently last bottles of each today....

I am so in love with BWB RY4! At first I didn't get it at all. Let it steep for a month and it has truly blossomed!!!!! Now, unfortunately I am reserving it to Saturdays only since I will never be able to purchase it again. I would like to see someone try there hardest to fill the void now that this left. Then again, I am sure others have been trying.

Can anyone help me find a replacement? I know the whole subjectivity thing, but if you know I love BWB RY4 after a month of steeping than maybe that can inform you as to my likes. I currently am steeping Highbrow RY4 and it is smelling less and less like floral tobacco and more and more like something I want to vape. Still a little skeptical...

In cue...Vaperite VR4, Vaporstation VS4, Mm and Pop Ry4, Bloog RY4 (surprised this made the list but willing to try.)

p.s. For all those people that don't like their BWB RY4, pm me. If not, trust that you are well advised to not throw it away! Trust me, you WILL make your money+ back!

p.s.2 Why don't some of these companies take the most popular juices and steep them themselves for a month or so, and charge a few extra dollars or so? It seems like a win win?!

I'm afraid you'll need to continue parsimoniously meting out your small weekly ration of BWB RY4 to stretch it as far as possible, since there is nothing like it available in the marketplace, nor is there likely to be anytime in the future.

The other RY4s you mentioned in your post are all quite good in their own right, but they bear no resemblance to BWB RY4.

All of the juices that I love, are great right out of the bottle. The really good vendors steep them before shipping.

I also am one of those that was able to finally buy some for the first time. It has been sitting for 3 weeks, and I tried it twice during that time, but it hasn't yet blossomed into the nectar of the gods that I heard it was supposed to be. Although now I have mixed emotions -- what if I love it? What a bummer I could never get more. But if I still don't love it after steeping 7-8 weeks, I guess I can sell it to the highest bidder

I'm sorry, but that's just a false statement, and a huge disservice/injustice to the many, many great custom-made juice vendors out there.

Sandy, I know you are a huge fan of NLV (as am I), and it's true that Gene's juices don't appear to require steeping, but your assertion is incredibly overbroad and misleading to other (less experienced) vapers.

Not trying to pick a fight, just trying to straighten the record for the benefit of newer vapers.

It's been my experience that the juices I like have been steeped by the vendor to where the vendor likes them, before they send them out. (I've asked the vendors)

Boy does that suck! See, I did my homework and I essentially started out with the best (IMO) so though I haven't tried the rest, I have a hard time imagining that anything else will compare. I guess I will have to trust that Don will put a rabbit out of a hat...I HOPE!

Mr.Mann,

For whatever it's worth, my personal opinion is that BackwoodsBrew RY4 is not the "best" RY4 ever made. Not even close. Just to be clear, I'm not in any way suggesting that I think BWB RY4 is bad, just that numerous other RY4s are better---to my palate. And I'm sure that this opinion is shared by a considerable number of other vapers.

When I started this thread in June of 2011, I put BWB RY4 in the top spot at #1. That ranking was based largely on its great popularity, but also because I had at that point vaped only about 20 RY4s. As I sampled and reviewed more and more RY4s---the number now is roughly 70---I gained a keener sense of the entire spectrum of RY4s through a substantially enlarged perspective. I also gradually revised my rankings to reflect my personal tastes more than social popularity. Eventually, BWB fell in my rankings from #1 into the 20s. If I were still ranking RY4s today, that's where I'd put it, in the mid-20s of the 70-or-so I've tried.

You may feel that BWB RY4 is the best ever, and you'd be in good company, since many ECF members agree that BWB RY4 deserves its legendary status. But many others don't, myself among them. Don's RY4 is certainly unique (as are many other "custom" RY4s, whose flavor profiles are not in the "classic" RY4 mold), For me, however, the demise of BWB RY4 is worth noting, but hardly a tragedy. The nearly full 30ml bottle of BWB RY4 I have will likely last me forever.

Well, I guess the mourning is over. At, least for now.

That actually does make me feel better considering I frequent this thread quite often. You are in fact a most trusted source. Not saying I will agree with everything, but I will trust that you have very carefully considered your findings.

Thanks for your classy reviews!

So found another new to me and may be others, RY4 for the thread...
Heathers Heavenly Vapes Heavenly Tobacco RY4 here is the info...
Customers have raved about our new take on the traditional RY4, but it is more rich and complex than any RY4 on the market, so we decided to rename it Heavenly Tobacco. Nice slightly sweet tobacco flavor with notes of nuts, vanilla and caramel.

With that, I did some research and really found no reviews online so I had to order some to see if that info can hold up.

When I think of a rich and complex RY4 I think of KickBass RY4 with that in mind I am sure they may be nothing a like lol.

ghostry4,

Yes, I've been wondering about that one myself.

Being on my juice buying fast (except to replenish my daily vapes when necessary) is soooo hard. But then, my accountant (who is me) screams that people don't need to have seven liters of juice in their stashes! Looks like it'll be a long time before I can go back to buying juices whenever I please, although having emigrated pretty successfully to DIY Land, I still get to make a lot of new juices. I just can't buy any retail juices (sigh...).

Since new artisan custom juicemakers are popping up like mushrooms these days, I read the reviews here on ECF about great new juice vendors---Heavenly Vapes being among the most recent---and I would so love to try their RY4s (hell, I'd like to try lots of these new juices with organic or custom flavorings and creative recipes), but I won't allow myself to buy any.

I really hope that someone will get a bottle of Heavenly Tobacco RY4 and post a review here. Either that or mail a small sample to me, and I'll review it. LOL.

Bill, I am loving this thread. Thank you very much.

I have only been vaping for 2-1/2 months. My wife and I have quit the analogs after using them for almost 30 years. She's frustrated with how much of an investment I have made in this pursuit of finding the right liquid that will keep us off the analogs. Unfortunetly we have found BWB RY4 as a flavor that we adore!!!! I am hoping you can point me to a close replacement.

I would extremely value your and anyone else's opinion. I also understand that you may not be able to so you can keep an unbiased opinion so you can keep this amazing class going. I know we all really appreciate it.
