Of the qualities I would attribute to the eleven-or-so Mountain Oak Vapor juices I've tried---most of them tobaccos from a sampler pack that the hangdude mailed me, plus some beta-test juices that Le Dean and Steve kindly provided for my opinion---I'd put subtlety at the head of the list, followed by softness. Nothing sharp at all about MOV juices to me. They're not gym-workout hard-bodies, more Marilyn Monroe rounded and curvy, although not nearly as voluptuous as MM. At least, that's the way I experience CountRY-4.

Sounds like Longbottom Leaf is a more straight-ahead tobacco, with less spice and greater punch and bite.

(I forget---do people actually inhale pipe tobacco into their lungs or just only as far as the mouth before exhaling? If the latter, then might pipe tobaccos be more rough and hardy, as a complement to being aromatic? I never smoked a pipe, except as a brief experiment in pretentiousness in college.)

I love your descriptions! Marilyn Monroe curvy ;) I like that.

Kinda sad. The Kick Bass RY4 that I thought I loved so much does not taste at all nummy in a Vivi Nova tank. I'mma havta try it in a carto.

KBV RY4 is a thick nicquid. It is probably having trouble working its way up the wick. Once you get it in a carto (it is thick), it tastes good.

I won a couple bottles of ejuice in their contest (you can enter once per day here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-contest-madd-madd-18ml-promo-ends-9-2-a.html). I chose the two RY4s because there are no real reviews of them here yet. Both are 18mg and 50/50.

MaddCatt has 100 flavors. Several flavors are in the "HALF-BAKED COLLECTION (CHEECH AND CHONG'S FAVORITE VAPE!)" group. There are also two tobacco groups and one group each for fruits, bakery, drinks, and candy. Each tobacco group has an RY4.

MaddCatt RyW4 - "Our best selling Ry4 blend. This is a staff favorite and a best-seller in our brick and mortar store." I can see why this is a best seller. It is caramel heavy. Thick, gooey caramel. The juice reminds me of Spring Vapors Black Label RY4. There is a little vanilla in there. It is hidden by the powerful tobacco and rich caramel. This flavor has no sweetness added. The sweetness it has comes from the caramel and vanilla. There is a little nuttiness.

The tobacco in RYW4 is smooth but bold. It is not a weak tobacco. If it was, the caramel would overpower it like the caramel does with the vanilla. RYW4 is definitely an American RY4 blend, almost to the point of being a caramel tobacco. Very bold flavors. RYW4 covers only the low notes of the scale, like a swimming pool that has no shallow end.

MADDHatter RyJ4 - "An Ry4 blend that is sweeter and more full-flavored." This flavor is closely related to the RYW4, but more of it. It has the same rich caramel. This time it is complimented with a sweet vanilla. These two flavorings blend nicely. Again there is no added sweeteners. The tobacco is strong. Again I get a hint of nuts.

RYJ4 is like the RYW4, but on steroids. This blend screams American RY4 to extreme. The extra vanilla adds a high note to the deep, dark flavors, like a single triangle tinging in a bass drum symphony. If you like a strong, bold tobacco with a rich caramel and a sweet vanilla (and nothing else), this could be the flavor for you.

There is no way I could compare either of these to DeKang's RY4. They are among the boldest of the RY4s I have tried. Both are very good, if that is what you like. I like both of these very much.

You would think when tasting these that they would be almost black in color. But they are orange in color, the RYW4 is actually a light orange. I will send these out to Bill for a "real" review soon.

dude,

Your review is as "real" as it gets, my friend. Perfect. Wonderful. Superlative.

Nothing I could add would make for a more "real" review. I might throw in a couple of gonzo metaphors, but that wouldn't make it a better review, just more of me. (That said, I hope you'll send me some of both juices anyway. Even though I'm leaning toward subtler RY4s these days, I'd like to see what the boldest of the bold tastes like.)

Speaking of RY4, I've been vaping my semi-DIY concoction of the 1:1 blend of Bauway RY4 with a special mix of RY4 Double (from a recipe in the DIY forum that was supposed to taste like Tribeca, but doesn't really) for almost a day now nearly non-stop. As you know, that's very unusual for me, since I flit from one juice to another like a bumblebee moving from flower to flower in the garden.

I wouldn't call this concoction better than my current favorite retail RY4s---RWVapors RY4, Vapor..... OuR-Y4, and the pair from crystaleliquid: RY4 and RY4 Double Tobacco. The Bauway/TPA mix tastes very different from any of those, but that's part of what makes it so interesting. It's unique, combining the relatively dense but now half-strength caramel-vanilla of the TPA RY4 Double flavoring with the 50% diluted "purity" base tone of the Bauway RY4.

It's also got a couple drops of acetyl pyrizine in it, which is a super-concentrated flavor additive that lends a bread-like or doughy flavor to liquids (the diy Tribeca knock-off recipe called for that, along with a couple drops of Vape Wizard and Bitter Wizard, so I used all three). I don't know, maybe those additives are part of what makes it so strangely compelling. I guess I could make up a small batch using just TPA RY4 Double and Bauway RY4 (without the additives) to compare, but I don't feel like messing with a good thing.

I'm quite amazed that I like it, but I do. A lot.

Hangy, I put Kick Bass' RY4 in a dual coil carto tank, at your suggestion. Now it tastes wonderful. Thanks!

I have so many new juices I am really enjoying.

Kick Bass Special K is awesome. Their Nutty Uncle Ky is great too.

Tried a new one from Alt-Cig, Churro. Oh boy is it good, just barely spiced.

Sandy,

I always notice when someone lists a bunch of different juices, and I happen to have all of them all in my stash. Except for the KickBass RY4, I'm not in love with the others the way you are, but I got 'em!

Scarf, I see you have Prime Vaping on your list. I purchased some PV4 back in late April and had only been vaping a couple of weeks at the time. I had been reading this thread from the start (reading EVERY post), and when I read a good review of PV4 from Bill, naturally I had to buy some. I liked it very much then and like it better now. In the early going, I knew nothing about Mods and/or VV devices and was using only 3.7 volt standard Ego batteries with the standard Ego type A tanks and attys. Things have changed dramatically for me since then. I now own a Provari V2, a couple of Ego C Twists and a SmokTec Varicool VV box mod. I never use the ego tanks any more becuase I got fed up with all the hassels of leaking they are known for. Now, I prefer either the standard Boge Carto's (SR and LR) and some dual coil cartos by SmokTek and the Mega DC Ego cartos. Some juices taste better to me in DC and some in single coil. But, always in a carto.

Enough talking about my equipment, I filled up a Boge SR this morning with some PV4 (I have not vaped this in anything other than the standard Ego tanks/attys or in a Clearomizer before today), attached it to my Provari and set it at 4.6 volts. This tastes MUCH better now. Of course it has steeped a couple more months but the higher volts/watts make a big difference with PV4, especially with TH. This juice is heavier on Vanilla, very soft on the caramel, almost as if it were an after thought. The tobacco is not overpowering but can become more pronounced with more volts. This RY4 is almost cake like in its after taste but I like it because it goes so well with a cup of coffee. I dont know if you even drink coffee but if you do, I think you will enjoy vaping PV4 with a cup.

On Target, thanks for the great review. I am indeed a coffee drinker (I mostly use the Nespresso "coffee for dummies" system which gives me excellent results) and I love any RY4 with my morning cuppa. Prime is definitely on my list but I need a "mule" since they don't ship out of the country. I have been intrigued by Love from Above and 8th Wonder as well as the PV4.

And, as it turns out, Altcig is USA/Canada only as well. Oh well.

Scarfy, we may all have these things in common:

1. Early adapters (I learned that nifty term in my Marketing Management classes)
2. Juice hoochies
3. PV hoochies
4. Latest gadget hoochies

1. Not really. The desktop at Rancho Scarf-ace still runs Windows XP for Pete's sake:?:
2. Oh HELL yes.
3. As the owner of two $100+ mods, I guess so.
4. Sometimes. i like reading about new and shiny stuff, but I won't be camping out at the Apple store overnight so I can be the first to get the newest Iwhatever 5.6, either.
