I’ve had a 30ml bottle of Heavenly Army from Heather’s Heavenly Vapes that’s been steeping for some time now---about ten days---so I loaded up a Smoktech 1.5 ohm dual coil carto I had lying around, cranked up the voltage on my BuzzPro, and gave it a go. For the record, the juice I have is a light caramel color at 18mg in a 20/80 PG/VG blend. Like all HHV’s Purity Line, it can be ordered 100% VG for anyone allergic to PG or those who simply prefer all-VG juices.

The vendor description on the HHV web site says:

“Heavenly Army is a tribute flavor to all of our wonderful customers. It's an extracted tobacco that is light weight and creamy with a nice tobacco undertone. It's not an RY4 or variant, but is our second version of a whole new path for lighter weight, slightly sweet tobacco vapes.”
OK, so it’s not an RY4 but is a “whole new path for slightly sweet tobacco vapes.”

Guess what? They’re exactly right. Heavenly Army is an NET hybrid, meaning a juice made with a base of naturally extracted tobacco, to which other flavorings have been added---in this case, all-VG-based natural flavorings.

People who like HHV’s Purity line of retail eliquids---Gandalf (now called Legend), Serendipity, Pirate’s Booty, Shadow, etc.---should love this juice. The tobacco is very light, the other flavorings are complementary, and it’s a very easy vape. I have no idea what those other flavorings may be, because they’re used subtly and blended superbly. The end result is a single overall flavor, rather like a very mild but highly aromatic tobacco, with copious vapor production and a mild throat hit at 18mg.

And no, Heavenly Army bears no resemblance at all to an RY4, either classic or custom. As a result, it’s not even a candidate for inclusion on The Big RY4 List. It’s just a very nice, pleasantly sweet tobacco vape in the mold of HHV blends, with a bit of this, a bit of that, and an ever-so-slightly fruity overtone---a complex recipe with a simple outcome. This is not re-inventing the wheel or even pushing the envelope very far. But it is a fine juice made by a talented, experienced artisan juicemaker.

Definitely worth a vape if you want something that’s not RY4 but not shockingly different.

Greetings, all...
I've been following this thread for a while since probably half the juice I have vaped over the last year has been RY4... I always come here for suggestions... A question since I can't seem to find this anywhere.. I'm about to try Copper Creek for the first time. I only use genesis attys and juices that are heavy on tobacco extracts gunk up the attys very quickly... I am finishing a bunch of juice from Vaperite. Great stuff but a lot of maintenance with attys... Is Copper Creek similarly gunky? After less than a tank on a genesis, I have build up on the coils and the tank itself turns a dark color from the residue thats left- Vaperite much more than most.... No issues with BWB for example.
I appreciate the help if someone doesn't mind who has tried Copper Creek. I plan to get the two voodoo, house blend, gingerbread, and the twisted tbac...

I, too, am no fan of Copper Creek tobacco blends. CC's coffee liquids are spectacularly wonderful, but their tobaccos leave me totally cold.

I don't use RBA's or wind my own coils, so I can't comment on the gunkiness, except to say some people tear their hair out over this issue, but I don't. If I become unhappy with the way a certain atomizing device vapes---for whatever reason: diminished taste or performance, leaks, discoloration of clearos, etc.---I just pitch it and fill a new one. If a given atty/carto/clearo lasts for six months, great. If it craps out in five days, well, that's the way the cookie crumbles. I try not to worry about it.

I was not always so easy-going about my vaping tools, but two years at this hobby/obsession have convinced me that life is already too full of serious troubles for me to allow vaping to be anything but a pleasure. I'm not preaching, by the way, just sharing what's happened for me.

Among people who care about gunking, the general wisdom seems to be that Want2Vape and VapeRite make delicious NETs that gunk up coils quickly, with GoodEJuice house-brewed tobaccos being somewhat less gunking, and Ahlusion or HHV being the cleanest. The jury is still out on many of the newest NET vendors.

Bill why would they even say its not an RY4 or variant?

passer,

Maybe it's because Heavenly Tobacco is HHV's RY4, and they worried that someone might assume that Heavenly Army is Heavenly Tobacco's new brother.

Exactly what kind of info I needed.. Thanks.. I like no fuss too or stressing which is why I do the rba's... After vaping several years also I have it to a science and barely bother to mess but this issue has been the weak link for me and the vaperite has been a nightmare... and I have been unable to find which vendors were notorious... I loved want2vape, but same issues. I also get sick of juice so quick so I'm always looking but I can't get a day out of the gunky ones without cleaning.. I buy 4 or 5 bottles of juice every month or so typically from different vendors so knowing which vendors use this type of extract will surely save me some loot.. I only rarely revisit a vendor more than once a year.

I appreciate what u guys do over here...

For anyone interested, here are the eliquids I'm currently vaping. Some are straight retail, others are DIY (either completely or partially), and a few are Frankenjuices (combinations of retail juices). Every juice in the list has its own PV and sits on my desk and/or bedside ready to vape. I vape at least half of them every day, since I'm a juice bumblebee, flitting from one sweet nectar to another.

None of these are RY4s, but I keep 100 RY4s loaded in cartos in two ammo boxes on my desk for easy access when I comparison-vape RY4s.

wow, that is quite a rotation you have there.

Yes, but that doesn't include the 600 other retail juices I have that aren't in the rotation, so it's only 7% of the stash. LOL. I don't know if that's impressive or pathetic, but it is what it is.

The part I find amazing is "Every juice in the list has its own PV..." That means you have over 50 PVs. Dang!

Bill, I will get the Captains Delight and Missouri Bottoms out later this week. I am waiting on a 30ml of QNJ's ouR whY qu4tro. I will include a fresh sample of that when it comes in. It is Quick Nic's newest version of ry4. They still carry my favorite, but this is (I think) a more extracted version.

Good day for RY4 today :D i got in two new ones to try and i am very happy with them both.

Rocky Top Vapor RY4

This is a custom RY4. Sweet with a really nice taste. The whole profile of this juice is nothing like I have had before. It is mixed really good that just gives you one out come, its almost like it has chocolate in it because of the mix as a whole or the caramel used it in is just overpowering which would just go back on what I just said. I find the tobacco is light with a slite spice and I am starting to since the vanilla in it, but still my mind keeps thinking chocolate. This juice is nothing really strong but does have a sweet side to it and at 12mg 50/50 not much of a TH. i am not jumping for joy on it but it is good and if they can mix me a 6mg I may order again.

Beach Vapes RY4
Once again a nice sweet RY4. This one is custom but goes more towards a authentic RY4. Really nothing new here but a RY4 that would stand strong against the pros. You get caramel, vanilla, and tobacco nothing more or less. No off taste or anything going on with it. If your looking for to trying a RY4 for the first time a person would be very pleased with it because its exactly what you get for under 20 bucks for 30mls. This Juice would be a great replacement for me other than Vapor..... or Vapor4Life when funds are low.

hangdude,

I'll look forward to trying those, especially QNJ's new even-more-NET RY4. As for having so many PVs, I don't like having to swap cartos/clearos/tanks to switch juices. I just want to grab a PV and vape. LOL. Of the 103 PV's I've acquired over the past two years, 21 have broken, fried, or otherwise gone belly up, leaving me with a mere 82 now. I guess this is what happens when you give a little disposable income to someone who has lived very frugally most of his life.

passer,

I'll add both those RY4s to The Big list.

I recently received some Heavenly Tobacco from Heather's Heavenly Vapes (HHV), 18mg 50/50 PG/VG blend, and loaded it up. Running 7.5w on my Vamo with a Vivi Nova, 2.9ohm custom coil with cotton wicks. Note I normally run 8 or 8.5w, but this juice tastes better to me with lower voltage.

I know it's been reviewed before, but I have to say I'm pretty impressed so far. As Bill indicated in his review, it leans very much towards the traditional Chinese RY4 style, at least how I understand that to be (my exposure to "traditionals" is mainly Hangsen and IKV RY4 Gold).

It has a lighter tobacco base as you would expect in a traditional, especially when compared to some of her other tobaccos that are quite complex and robust (ADV/Gandalf, Shadowfax, Serendipity). There is a nice sweetness combined with a nutty quality. I can pick out the vanilla flavor more than other RY4s I've tried, but it's a really nice vanilla, and to me doesn't detract from the likability of the juice. My guess is that the vanilla here is the same rich vanilla she uses in her Vanilla Dream juice, as I get the same lingering vanilla flavor in my mouth for several minutes after vaping either of these juices.

Bill's review indicated a sour note which I BARELY detect. I very much enjoy that aspect of Rafalicious and was hoping for a similar flavor profile, but the sourness is nowhere near as pronounced here. In the end, it didn't matter... the very slight sourness does its job of keeping the juice from being too sweet and adds nice complexity.

This juice is really quite good, and to my taste buds, is an excellent take on traditional RY4 that solves one aspect of traditional juices that I have not cared for: the "soy sauce" flavor you sometimes get from them.

Overall, I'm consistently quite happy with HHV's juices, especially her tobaccos and especially her prices. This one doesn't disappoint, either, and I'll be ordering a larger bottle.

Endor,

I'll add a link to your review for Heavenly Tobacco in The Big List.

Thanks, I'm glad I could contribute. This is one of the few threads I keep regular tabs on, and everybody's input here has helped me discover and enjoy all the various types of RY4. It truly is a very interesting genre of juice with such a wide variety of styles... there is always some new twist that one just HAS to try! :)

Cool_Breeze,

I agree, and especially HHV's vanilla, which I enjoy quite a bit. One of my other regular vapes from her is Vanilla Dream, which is quite good as a dessert vape.
