hey can somebody PM or email me the engagement ring funny? I have just the person in mind to share this with. :)

As for the Jeep Cherokee, may I throw this in? I've owned 3 of them. I loved everything about them......except the short wheelbase. That finally caught up with me one day, ina very dire way. I "over corrected" just a tad, and eveyrthing came together, the outcome of which was literally CAREENING into the oncoming lane, then back to my own, then back into the onccoming lane, etc. Well you get the picture. Anyone who has been in a vehicle that does this knows exactly what I am talking about. You have lost control, 100%, and there is very little you can do once it decides to "go into that mode."

I do not like vehicles that flip real easily. I have many frineds who ended up in ditches and on telephone poles that way, but thankfully, like me, are still alive.

High center of gravity is great.......but not combined with a short wheel base. Unless you are only using for OFF ROAD.

Just giving this little tidbit out......I know this vehicle very well, very well. After that incident, I was at Toyota the very next day, getting a Tacoma truck. The feeling of being "more adhered" to the road was pretty instant, and I will never go back to the cherokee model.

I would get other jeeps.......just not that one. It's gorgeous, I love the design, I love the usability of those cherokees, but the short wheel base is a no no for me now, as it would be with any other vehcile. I have never been thru a more terrifying experience in my entire life, and i"ve had some pretty close calls!!!

Yeah, short wheel base can be trouble. My son just flipped and wrote off his Suzuki Jimny on a dirt road...in 4 wheel drive! That little thing was just amazing off road. Mine is the Toyota Hilux Raider below, think that is more or less your Tacoma?

Congrats on the Woodie, Dennis...at last again...none more deserving. Hope it has not cured you of stalking...would miss that terribly. Lizzardnipples until the next one or until you bleed out, whichever comes first:).

Azzaman, pray all goes well mate.

Farting off...see you again later.

LOVE the photo, boy that sure looks like fun!! Yeah I think they tossed the Hilux name when they picked up Tacoma name in the US....but the design is similar, or was. I guess they are pretty capable on the rocks huh?

Yes, if need be, but we're more into overlanding to places totally removed from civilisation (usually without any facilities), which require extreme capabilities (and some common sense) about 2 % of the time - the rest of the time proper grip and 4 wheel drive is sufficient. The picture was taken in the Richterveld World Heritage Site. In that arid area you will find some 33 types of plant that you will find nowhere else in the world. Like the "halfmens" (half plant, half human) in the pictures below.

Good morning.

My cold is on it's way out the door. It's just lingering like the smell of this room last night. LOL.

Dang neck acting up. I don't know if it is the weather change or the fact that I've been coughing at the end of this cold that is agrivating it.

Oh well. 800 Ibuprofen here I come again.

I've got a secret. I'm not telling. I'll just say it involves brass or titanium and shipping one of my Reo's to St Lois MO. Have fun with that one.

Almost at 1,000 I wonder what super member will change too? Did I use "too" properly. Who knows. MORE COFFEE.

Enjoy your day!

Hi Matthew. Come on, you cannot leave us hanging with a secret like that...do tell, I promise you it is no fun not knowing! You will be an Ultra Member then I think, but as a Supporting Member you can actually change that to whatever you like.
I was hoping for super ultra mega member. I've changed mine a few times. I haven't decided what would be the funniest yet. :)

As to your other comment...It involves replacing a non standard part on the reo and replacing a standard part on another. LOL.
