i married a Dutch woman and apart from having to talk predominantly English she has also had to accommodate certain things that i like:

toad in the hole: Classic English Toad-in-the-Hole Recipe | Simply Recipes

yorkshire pudding: Yorkshire Pudding Recipe - Food.com - 744

My contribution to the arrangement is rebuilding all coils without complaint or snide and telling the time in Dutch.

T

now you're talkin! Toad-in-....... mmmmm....

i've attended most of the NoCal Renaissance Faires since the 60's. Toad-in-...... has been a staple. for the last 20 or so years i say this year i'm trying something different, but i always revert to that. it's kind of a family joke. i usually order that when i eat in the local British pubs, if they have it.

Supposedly Deer can't see orange. But, That is the rule in Ohio. Orange hat and orange vest or Jacket. No Orange camo or patches of orange.

Seems the hunters in Ohio can't see the difference between a hunter and a deer.

The horse farms near by tie pink and yellow ribbons to the horses hair so no one shoots them.

I heard a story of an out of state hunter that tried to check in a doberman as a deer.

The state official said strangest deer I ever saw. I didn't know they had pads on their feet.

Ugh.

So, I was sitting against a tree and my profile was broken up. The wind was at my face. He didn't see or smell me. I had one chance. Made it count. :)

Some cow owners up in N. Mi. piant the word COW in bright orange on their sides during deer season:laugh:
