Good morning, Ed! I hope you stay warm! We are getting another week of perfect weather here...60's & 70's in the afternoon and 30's & 40's at night. Sounds like a heat wave compared to you guys up there!
All right then, I suppose it would be fairer to say that POODLE paws smell like fritos
Yeah, the friend's with dogs I spoke to think I am nuttier than usual. But one did say she would ask her daughter if she had ever noticed it with their (non-poodle), I haven't heard back on that yet.
My dog craziness comes to me naturally. While growing up we had at least 8 (and as many as 24 at one time) of these little biters-
(notice the death grip around his throat to keep the teeth away from my throat!)
My (step)Mom is the craziest dog lady I know. She would come pick us up from school with the dogs in the front seat and us kids would have to ride in the back. My entire family was known as the people with the dogs.
And her dogs never have stinky feet...they bathe more regularly than some people I know.

Morning all. My dads dog died this morning. He was the last puppy from my dogs litter. He was a great dog always remembered me. Always thought I was there to take him home..
He was a boxer whippet mix.

I've asked about dog feet smells with a person with a highly sensitive nose thats always sniffing around and who happens to be a dog owner. She didn't think it was a strange question and that it was right up her alley. She says all the dog feet that she has smelled smell like popcorn. She said her friend says the same thing. She said mixed breeds, labs and beagles are what she has smelled and they all smelled like popcorn. I asked her if it was like buttered popcorn and she said no, just popcorn.
I'm very sorry to hear that Matt. It's never easy to lose our special friends.
