Good morning everyone.

(((Legs))) I'm so sorry about your friend.

Val, I have a 17 year old cat who is on the downside. In her heyday she was about 14 lbs; Now I am lucky if she weighs 8 lbs. She still doesn't have that "look in her eyes" so I'm in wait and see mode. I've had her since she was 7 weeks old.

I know how you feel. When we bought this house in '04, Mamaw wanted a Shetland Sheepdog. Some call them miniature Collies. We got Cody, a rescue dog, in '05. At that time the Vet estimated his age at about 5 years. Cody is struggling now, doesn't eat nearly enough and doesn't want to go outside anymore (Mamaw assists). He used to bark at anything, now he just lies quietly. Mamaw took him to the Vet last month but nothing turned up. I think the end is near. I think I read somewhere once that breed is good for 10 to 12 years, so Cody has had a long, good life. Just difficult to watch them fade away like this....

I heard this on the CB Radio today;

A man in New York City receives a call from his Father in Oklahoma.
"Son, I hate that this is happening over the Holidays, and I know you and Sis won't like it, but after 45 years your mother and I are calling it quits. We've decided the best gift we can give one another is a Divorce."
After about fifteen minutes of back and forth, the son asks, "Have you called Sis yet ?"
"No, not yet." the Father replies, "I can never figure out the time difference in London."
"Dad, you and Mom stay right there. I'm on the first plane out in the morning. And don't worry about contacting Sis, I am calling her as soon as I hang up !"
Ten minutes later, the phone rings. The old man answers and it's his daughter, distressed and bawling.
"What Are You Guys THINKING ?!? Don't Do ANYTHING ! I am one the First Plane Stateside, and We Will talk about this once I Get HOME !!!"
The old man hangs up, turns to his wife and calmly says "They're coming Home for Christmas."

Merry Christmas REOVille ! :)

secrete vs excrete plus more freaky stuff

some ants have aphid farms Herding Aphids: How 'Farmer' Ants Keep Control Of Their Food

they are abusive to the herd of aphids which excrete not secrete. from the article >The ants have been known to bite the wings off the aphids in order to stop them from getting away and depriving the ants of one of their staple foods: the sugar-rich sticky honeydew which is excreted by aphids when they eat plants.<

what if you like honey then hopefully you realize it is bee regurgitation. It tastes very good :) here is part of the explanation to click on for the complete story >> Once the forager bee returns home she regurgitates the contents of the honey stomach So i learned regurgitation is not the same as vomit.

i am amazed then to top all of that is the fact some turtles can breathe through their .... hole, some snakes have 2 penises, snails are hermaphrodites and can have sex with their male organ and their female organs at the same time or even if necessary can have babies by impregnating them selves.

Mother Nature needs a talking to. This is crazy. I'm sitting here, its about 68 degrees. At night. In the middle of winter.

Next up: monsoon type rains, after we just had a devastating ice storm. Which will cause flash flooding since heavy rain here is usually 3-4" at a time.

And will loosen up the trees that were already impacted by the ice storm.

Then, they are saying severe thunderstorms.....well yeah, since a cold front is coming in to HIT that 66 degrees. To me, that is tornado weather.

I'm tired. :( I don't even like amusement park rides.

None of this seems at all like normal weather to me.

I am reading about it, thanks :) Both my laptops have wireless. The problem i have is i am going to be living outside of any dsl isp range. idk about other types.

Millenicom .... they're bread and butter is rural areas, truck drivers, etc. Give them a call. Works off cell phone towers, they are bulk buyers of verizon, sprint, AT&T bandwidth. pretty fast.

Mother Nature is freaky but i wish she would stick to the schedule. Winter is bad enough without having warm spells.I think that is how i get sick here in Florida. 2 days in the 80's with lows in the 60's then back down to the 50's and 30's at night.

either that or i get rich from the lottery and follow the summer around the world. ahhh blissfulness

I hope the rain doesn't give you floods or tornadoes
