Hi Scott and everyone/anyone here :)

I am keeping busy during this warm spell but tomorrow is supposed to be colder again. The puppys love going outside and of course i have to be with them.

They will be 11 weeks old Tuesday. I got them when they were 8 weeks. The biting habits of the little piranhas is greatly diminished from my hands. They of course have lots of chewies to substitute since puppies got to have something to chew.

It is harder to train 2 puppies but thankfully it can be done. I sometimes put one in his/her crate with a big chewy toy. Then i can work/play better with the other.

Has anyone used the double leash? I am wanting to try one since they claim the dogs don't get tangled up.

Good afternoon everyone :). Had a nap time to get off the couch and do something I think. Loli the double leashes are likely good with even strength temperament dogs. I've tried them twice with drastically different dogs and both times was a failure. One always fell on their face

LOL i guess i will have to try and see what happens. Will keep you updated. My 2 are so young maybe they can get used to it.They are different sizes one is few inches taller than the other but i think the strength is almost a match.

Today one was sitting in a cardboard box and the other was pulling the box everywhere. It was so cute :)

Ya like I said tho mine were ski different in strengths the strong dog always pulled the other over but other than that it was great Ive just trained mine to walk on other sides so Simba on my left Bailey on my right even if I hold both leashes in one hand it works but they are very good for me the wife doesn't fare so well nor does my mother Moms come back mud from head to toe and lots of road rash  she generally does off leash parks with them now thats when they are at their best anyways

My husband was always better with dogs than me but i am learning. I will be using my walker so all of us will have to learn how to deal with it.So far I have only used my cane but i can't go very far. They stay off leash with me in my yard but i want to take them for longer walks down the road i live on.My neighbor is going to help me in case i need it in the beginning. She walks her dog Reese so we will be going with her on a lot of walks. I really don't want to use a wheelchair unless i have really far to go.

I agree with Justin. Tandem leashes are great with dogs who (1) are well trained to the leash as a single; (2) have similar gaits and energy levels; and (3) are clear on the pecking order - who leads and who follows, so to speak. They're also great for leash breaking a puppy in tandem with momma or an older dog. By that, I mean just getting past the initial wriggling out of the collar/mule sitting/tangling you up in the strap phase. I had no luck at all trying to actually train two young dogs in tandem, though - they may not tangle up together as easily, but they managed to tangle up with me constantly :) Edit: That was supposed to be "Justice."

Another thing about tandems is on the off chance another dog attacks your dogs they are stuck together. So depending on where your at it could be an issue. I wouldn't have that issue with Simba as other dogs seem to now to him even tho he's a Wussie. I think it's the wolf in him.

LOL - I have a 10-year-old French Bulldog that even the cats don't run from and a medium-sized Whatever Terrier that squeals like a schoolgirl if you look at him the wrong way. We're talking zero street cred, here. If there were ever any trouble, I'd just have to pick them both up and run :)

Good morning Reoville. Tomorrow there will be 2 minutes and 14 seconds more daylight than today. Yesterday the average temperature starts rising from 22 to 23 degrees. This applies to upstate NY. Every winter I start looking at stats gathered by the National Weather Service for data that at least gives me some hope for getting through another winter. I wish I could hibernate. Blah. I completely understand how the rates of SAD rise as latitude increases. OK, I know my time is up. Is this session covered by my HMO?

Public Service Announcement: Tomorrows garbage day in Reoville. Don't forget to put it out.

Just the opposite at my house. 110lb. Sheppard that loves to attack and kill. And a 35 Beagle that loves to instigate.

Earth for now.
Good morning Reoville,

Woke this morning to a balmy -14 (officially at Detroit Metro airport -9) and a truck that was very hesitant to turn over. I really think they need to re-calibrate the thermometer over at the airport.
Breathtaking morning for sure. Hope all those in the south stay safe and stay inside, 'cause ya'll don't know how to drive when that white stuff falls from the sky.:D
All kidding aside, I hope everyone stays safe and warm. Have a stupendous day folks.
