I do have one missing but wrapped the wire around the post. Thought it was making a good connection otherwise did not think it would meter out????

maybe try turning your VV down a little start there a wrap may test ok but lose its connection too if you can get one of the legs the the hole then twist it well would work better but may be tough to do

Mornin REOville! Crazy storm last evening, the wind was fierce and as I was watching out the slider to the patio, the pergola was swaying back and forth. Had gone yesterday after lunch and bought a nice flower pot and filled it with flowers for my front walk but had to go rescue it from the middle of the front yard after the wind died down around 9. The wind took the roof off a church in Independence, just north of me, but haven't heard of any bad damage closer. There is a chance we will get storms again tonight, hope the wind isn't so bad as it was last night.
I keep thinking about Cappy and Carol, I know Kay will let us know when she hears anything, but my thoughts are with them.
I have to brag just a bit, my niece earned the title of Missouri Jr High Champion Goat Tyer for 2012-2013 and is headed to the National Jr High Finals in Gallup New Mexico. She qualified for Nationals in Ribbon Roping and Barrels too. She will also compete in breakaway roping and pole bending. She is a little Super Star Cowgirl and I am so proud of her!

Ok I decided I had a little time and wanted to coil my ERA again. I use a small drill bit to wrap 30g wire around. Then I have a button threader (used for making fishing fly's) and after coil is wrapped I pull my wick thru it. Got it all set up and put onto my ohm meter. Read out at 2.1 ohm. Ok that will work for me. Put it onto my VV Reo and it won't fire????? Thought accidently turned off my Reo. Checked that nope not that. Put back on my shorty carto and works like a charm. Did not collapse spring. Any idea's? Maybe a rba is just not for me. If Pat had not turned me onto Rob's shorty carto's I would be in big trouble. I did notice the screw is missing in the taller post. I think someone here on this form said they have extra screws???? I would be interested in purchasing a couple if so.
May have to just wait until I can make a trip north to see Kay. Have her teach me about these things. So disappointed. Thought I would be able to master this!

Sorry I haven't been on the past few days guys. I had a vape meet Saturday (the reo was a great conversation piece) and then my dog decided to have pups yesterday.

On one of my ERA's, the positive post has started to float a bit within its insulator. Does it look at all recessed from the bottom of the threaded end? If so, attach it to your VV Grand and use a screwdriver to apply a little force straight down on the positive post. Then see if it will fire.

Thanks, Alice... I feel kind of lost, actually. Normally I'm cussing, banging my fist on the desk and yelling by this time, but it's been quiet.... almost too quiet.

I've got a short list of things to do...fold laundry, buy movie tickets for tomorrow morning, arrange for oil changes for our cars...but I just can't seem to get started. Too afraid at this point to step away from the pc. I sound like a control freak, don't I?

we have one a month out here and I was the only Reo in a sea of provari and twists. Its amazing how quickly its growing out here.

I will check that. I put it away for another time. Was fustrating me. I will dig it back out and check but it did not seem loose.

Hey friends our buddy Bob (bob57) needs our prayers. His dog was attacked early Saturday morning --Bob believes it was a coyote-- and doesn't look good. Neck lacerations. My heart breaks for Bob and his gorgeous schnauzer. Pets are so much a part of our families.
