whats everyone having for dinner tonight ?

My son just 'graduated' from 8th grade yesterday, so we are 'celebrating' being parents of a high school student! (think lots of miller genuine draft for dad and riesling for mom)

so to celebrate I bought and made:

steamed lobster tails
hot & spicy crabcakes
regular (not spicy) crabcakes for the kids
blue crab shell stuffed with blue crabcake
fresh boiled sweet corn
and for my one picky child:
leftover sirloin steak with red wine braised mushrooms and onions
fresh french bread rolls for everyone
and LOTS of old bay seasoning, melted butter and (for mom) fresh squeezed lemon
oh, and fresh watermelon for dessert

now, time to clean the pots and pans (arghh!)

The ex DW called and says "Wanna go out for pizza?" "Hell ya" sez I. ...mushrooms and sausage...thin crust. Still best of friends 32 years later.
One word; Awesome!

have you ever considered adoption? you know - to give a young trunker a chance in life on the sweetcorn of magnificence?

Amazing how rapidly my age alters

cool really.

 I feel adopted by you folks in the Reofamily

ETA: Happy bday Rob!

Happy, happy birthday Rob :w00t::w00t::w00t::bday::bday::w00t::w00t::w00t:

Checking in after a very long day. Graduation went very well, although ceremony was 3 1/2 hrs long. Went for some Korean yakinIku, all you can eat, went back to the hotel and slept for 3 hrs. Tried the shoes but they came off about 20 minutes after sitting down . Luckily I brought my flip flops ;). Sometimes peeps at the Hyatt give me a 2nd take, but then I take a really big vape from my Reo a blow a cloud for them to think about something else.

DW wants to go shopping tomorrow for my bachelor son......sheets, pillowcases, food, hangers. Lol, I thought his dresser was full of dirty clothes.....looked like a hamper :shock::shock:

The weather here has been great although chilly at night. Very sunny in the afternoon but there's a chill in the air.....very strange feeling.

HAPPY FATHERS DAY to all you REOdads out there. Don't let the fam forget it ;). Will try and go to church tomorrow, I'll be the oldest pop there so will leave my shoes at home :)
