Well done Alice and DH - both showing the kind of supreme patience i have never mastered! ;)

T

Thanks. Congrats on your and Smurf's one year vapeversity!

Patience and control and having situations well thought out, the lack of, is the main scary thing about so many people with gun carry license. I CAN'T STRESS ENOUGH WHAT A HUGE RESPONSIBILITY IT IS. We've both had a lot of experiencing talking someone down. But this guy kept escalating. If either of us had been alone it might have turned out differently. Teamwork is priceless and knowing your partner has your back and knowing how your partner thinks and acts is priceless! Neither of us were surprised at how we handled the situation. We did a "thankyou," "good job," and an extra big hug of relief.

I'll never be able to disclose our life history but we are more prepared than most people. But one is never fully prepared emotionally for some things. DH is a little mad but it's mainly a man thing with someone threatening the little lady. We both feel sorry for him and so many other wounded souls.

In peace, The Feisty

DH walked into the hotel room, a few minutes ago, took a couple minutes to empty pockets, and is snoring away. Last night he was out minutes after we got settled in. Wish I could bortow some of that from him. Tonight was our planned outing to old establishment TexMex restaurant. Was thinking about letting him sleep but he's so looking forward to this. Tomorrow and Sat are going to be long, hard days so need to go out tonight. Jen, it's not Manuel's but we've been there and loved it.

BTW Jen, fabulous news!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!! I'm thrilled for you beyond words!!!!!!!!!

DH called me Feisty, last night.:D

soo i sent my reo in to rob to have him look at the firing pin since i was getting sparks and could not get rid of them, he filed it down and get it working and is sending it back to me, when i was getting the sparks i filed the pin down and it end up sparking again making me wonder if it was my batteries, i lightly touched one with a emery board to see if they were a little dirty, these are brand new aw imr 1600mahs, should i order new batteries do you guys think this was the reason for sparks? or should i be ok with these 2 even though i used the board on one of them

Using the emery board on them shouldn't hurt em at all, as far as I know. I've "cleaned" the button tops of my AW's with 400 and 600 grit sandpaper, lol.

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say maybe you weren't putting enough pressure on the firing pin contact when you were filing it?

Also you didn't mention re-applying noalox to the firing pin.. did you do that after hitting it with your file?

The part of Canada that doesn't get enuf Snow :(
always used noalox, the weird thing is this is my first reo ive noticed sparks with, with my other two grands i had a while ago i never noticed sparks at all and didnt even noalox them often when i had them

Now that you've sanded the battery tops noalox them too. They will get corrosion build up fast after sanding. Noalox will work great or you can get a clear corrosion inhibitor it makes a little less obvious mess.

If you're on the hunt for version 2 (his latest one) of Mark Bugg's Chalice, and you never owned a Chalice before, then I would suggest you look for version 1, too. Because the only difference between the upgrade was totally cosmetic. The older one had sharp edges, the newer one has round edges. That's it! Good luck. I own V1 (haven't used it yet) but it was gifted to me by the Reo community so I will never sell it or trade it, sorry.

Happy 1-year off analogs, Jimmy! Did the wifey quit at the exact same time as you as well? And has she ever fell off the wagon or has your coil-building prowellness been so good that she never even felt tempted to relapse?

I imagine you guys DIY, too. At what stage in the game did you drop vendor juice dependencies (some folks call them boutique juices because of the prices) for Do It Yourself juice making? What was the nic strength of your first all day vapes back then compared to now?

How many packs per day did you both used to smoke and for how long?
