actually, smilies were a long time after that. The emoticons were originally character strings *g* you will probably notice that i still use them a lot. For me it is easier to type a character string than to search through a page of pictures (that i cannot see anyway) to select the one you want. Imho, it is better if your fingers never leave the keyboard to move the mouse around. Wfm

i used to rather like exams because there are endless ways to unsettle other people e.g. write a load of crap in huge handwriting for 10 minutes and constantly ask for more paper. When you are on page 15 and people around you have written 2 sides, they get a bit jittery!

Maintain a poker face or one of smug satisfaction at all times!

Great sport.

I'm actually a little excited for it... :) Criminal Law is tomorrow's. I'm just afraid of drawing blanks when it comes to court cases... Some of these people have hard to pronounce and hard to spell names. :(

WoooWeee...what a great game of catch up that was! 2 cups of coffee!

A big ol' welcome to Jack...sorry I already forgot the full name, but Jack with a bear avi. :)

What happened to Maggie? Solemn...That just doesn't fit. I hope you are still here, or come back soon Maggie!

Was great to see Bill and Ed posting! Missed you guys! And Ed...that lobster roll

Roombas- would scoot themselves right out my front door if they saw the mess on my floors. (still not supposed to sweep or vacuum, and it piles up pretty fast. Mom gave up on helping a few weeks ago.)

Alice- I didn't check the temperature, but had to grab a hoodie this morning. Windows and doors wide open and no ac! WoooHooo! Hope it lasts.

Morn'n here and Good Day Fine REO Folk. Got down to 59F here and it's a nice 70 at 1106. Heading back up to mid 90s for rest of week but at least cooler nights. Bubs locked in all night with house closed up due to ground spraying for West Nile mosquitoes. Let Bubs out about 0930 which was 12 hrs confined. Only one girl pee on long (washable) runner at front hall near doggie door. Then Lily escaped via prying open a barrier at front gate. Caughr Curly half was under place he dug tovjoin her. So they are confined to courtyard till after Feisty has some coffee and loosens up old body. I went out and called Lily. After 15 minutes she moseied in from woods, looked at me and trotted off in other direction. I don't know how she circled around but came back, again, from woods and finally ready to come in. I have the chemical taste from spraying in my mouth. I hate what this is doing to our fauna but West Nile is really serious. Think I'm gonna keep Bubs confined to courtyard and house till tomorrow. Courtyard is boring so they'll be inside most of time.

Glad to see so many peeps around. Loving all the new REO acquisitions!

Boys game at noon but we build up an hour of time before starting. Doing skillet slow braised Marsala chicken breast and thinking what light sauce to put on rest of spaghetti squash. It's a really big one and particularly sweet. Open for sauce suggestions. Probably GF cornbread for meal and dessert.

I just figured out what some of my weak week is about. My FM has flared up this week. Everything hurts and very low energy. Thanks for kind words folks.

Hold those you love close in mind and heart.

DH just made a confession..... He got another speeding ticket yesterday. Last one popped our insurance up $200 mor a month. He can do an online safety course and not have to pay fine. Prevoius ticket was going around lake work zone but no workers on site or equipment running. He wasn't offered safety course option. So that $300 ticket is costing us $1200 every year. I'll have to fess up that his Acura makes it easy to forget how fast you are going. And on I-35 the speed limits change constantly along the stretch and limit signs sporatic. He was doing 85 in a 65. Oh well.

Only positive is you can now do course on line and not miss work.
