At the shore...
Yep, saw that one. The whole family reminds of a family that I grew up around. I lived in the city from birth until 4th grade and our weekends were either spent at the lake or at the Bradshaw's land. The men would hunt, clear land, work the cattle, etc. The women would cook and gossip with all of us kids underfoot. Then we moved a few miles from them and had our own land to work. Still had Sunday get togethers that were very similar to the big spread they always show at the end. Good times.

I didn't know anyone like that when growing up...though I wish I did. Lots of love...you can tell they really enjoy each other's company. Duck is the PERFECT break from Breaking Bad. lol

Is there a certain type of clear coat t0 use on a polished REO? I polished my grand's door to almost a mirror and was hoping to clear it once I got it perfect to avoid all of the scratches.

Morn'n Fine REO Folk. Flash in and run. Wonderful video Lisa.

Val mentioned a peep she met at vape Meet who is doing skinz like gadget skinz. Don't know if he's in production yet. Val can answer and give link.

I purchased a large sheet of gadget skinz to use on some REOs but, although I've had it a year, I haven't played with it.

Some of the metal cleaners/polishes are better at keeping fingerprints down some. I like Flitz. I even put it on colored anodized, without doing any rubbing, and gently wiping it off before buffing. It leaves a very fine coating that protects from fine scratches. Not sure if it can be used on Powder Coats, though.

Find and give some happy.

BTW... my REOs, bare polished, I just rarely use, and haven't used the two tumbleds at all because I want to put the skinz on them first. In meantime I was gifted a Tumbled, Clear Coat, from REO. It is AMAZING!!!!!!

J Wraps said they make a clear wrap for the Grand, I haven't had time to check out the website though :)

I wouldn't be suprised if they wrap Reos too because they seem to have a wrap for everything else but let's be real folks, no self respecting REOnaut would be caught using a wrap or cover that does not come from our dear sweet Karen, who is doing all this pro-bono, because I think her heart is bigger than her head sometimes. If I had the skill she has I'd freaking charge a fortune and nudge Rob to put them up on his site!

BTW... I don't know if the baked clear coat would adhere to a polished finish. Robert would be the person to ask. AND powder coating and clear coating can only be done on completely bare REOs, prior to adding magnets and pressed in atty fitting. I'm not speaking for Robert here but I can speculate that he doesn't have time to offer polishing bare REOS prior to clear coating. (And I do know he's not fond of polishing them.)

So my thinking is either do the skinz or something I want to do..... make cover similar to Nerak's but glue clear vinyl inserts in cutouts to display most of the front and back. Jackets like that were pretty stadard for some electronic gadgets several years ago.

I forgot to mention, I got to the Flamingo about a half hour before they opened the doors, and hung out a bit in the casino. I had every REO business card I ever got with me. So many people (including the bartender) asked DH and I about our REO's and how to get one that I had them all handed out before I even went into the conference room! I even got to the point I was saying not to take the card if they weren't really interested.

Next time I go to an event, I am going to see if Rob wants to send me some extras to give out! I kept telling people I wasn't affiliated with them, just a fan, but they loved it in action. My blue/purple got lots of attention, most likely because it is so beautiful and bright

It is a clear wrap that PROTECTS the anodized finish. I will still use my cozy from Karen of course!

I am in the minority here but I think wrapping Reos is like putting clear vinyl coverings over the living room sofa. My beat up, battle scarred Grand is evidence of that.

I would FREAK OUT if my blue/purple got all ickified, you have NO idea what I went through to get this combo. He doesn't do these colors any more (I don't think he ever did a blue/purple combo in any case). For the VV, I had to buy two of them, one in blue/silver and one in purple/purple for just the door. I have a purple/silver VV extra I need to get around to putting in the classies

If it was just a black wrinkle or something I wouldn't be so protective. Nah, I would. Never mind.

I will gladly trade my ickified GRand for your VVG but only on a Tuesday.

I wouldn't trade my Grand for a VV either, it is my favorite also. The size is just perfect. It's like goldilocks, the mini is too small, the VVG is too big - but the Grand is just right!

BTW, I am still hunting for a 18490 PURPLE door. Mine is still in the original blue/black
