Happy Fourth all and Happy Birthday America! Hope everyone is having a good time today, it is raining here so no cookout but that's ok. I am celebrating my 3 years cig free today and joined ECF the same day. So nice low profile evening of holding a big scared Doodle who is sooo brave except for fireworks. Yes he will be an on and off lap dog all night.

Hello Reoville!!!

I've been struggling with a lot of GERD issues.

I'm still cooking massive amounts of meat on the grill, just not eating my goods.....

I've dropped 22lbs in 4 weeks and have not had coffee or caffeine. I'm really, really trying to find a balance on my nicotine intake as i'm sure is the cause of my neck issues,

My pants are sagging now which is good, i'll drop another 20lbs and be able to make a better diagnosis as to my issues???

All I can say is getting older sucks... and I have to be more accountable for my health....

I am so sorry you are having so many problems with the GERD. I hope you have explored all the options with allergies to foods. My daughter has four kids with various allergies that cause major problems with certain foods. Some of the worst are stomach pains. Very hard to deal with a young child screaming in pain.

She has found that activated charcoal works wonders with a episode of the stomach pain.

Celiac's, Wheat, Gluten, Lactose intolerance, are just a few of the things she deals with on a daily basis. So many other foods cause problems that they as a family often have to eat a variety at meals.

Please take care of yourself and be careful with quick weight loss. (((hugs)))

Yeah, but getting older sure beats the alternative.:D

As the resident ulcer king I got a question. Are you going to a gastroenterologist? Have you had him do an esophageal endoscopy and maybe a dilation of any strictures? In the last four years I've had 3 done, but heck, I can eat, just can't have anything exciting. No New Mexico chili, no marinara sauce(hard for a part Sicilian), no onion, garlic, pepper, no booze, no citrus juice, basically if I like it I can't have it. But hell I'm still kickin'. I wish I could gain 20 lbs.

Get the dam thing under control. Just sayin' 'cause I care and I hate to see somebody suffering from this.

Beats the alternative! Take care.

Right in the middle of movie DH proclaimed, "It just isn't right to not have BBQ on 4th July!!!" He's off to Soulman's BBQ for ribs, fried okra, pan fried cabbage and slaw. Last time he got ribs from there, while I was in Denver, a lb, Moe Doodle stole them and Bub's had a fast snack. A lb of ribs doesn't go very far between 5 big Bubs. (He informed me when he picked me up at airport midnight by starting off.... "I hope I haven't killed any of the dogs but......" (They are all fine.) I reminded him, once again, that we have major medical for dogs. So when he left a few minutes ago he announced to the Bubs he was going to get them some more brittle, cooked bones.:banghead:

Dano good to see you. Wish it was under better circumstances. I hope you get a grip on what's ailing you. I miss your witty "brady bunch" posts. Get a handle on it and get back here!

Dee nice to see you its been awhile. I was a lurker under a diff nick before I ever posted so I had the pleasure of reading you and all the old gang years ago.

Karen glad you're home and done with that week! Now comes the fun times! Kick up your feet and dont dare miss season 3. It really rocked!

I had a nice bike ride along the river with a few friends. Got a really cute girls number too. Light grilled chix salad lunch along the way. Now home with a pork loin in the rotisserie and sipping a limearita on ice. Got The Hobbit all cued up and Hansel and Gretel uncut afterwards. Enjoy the rest of the day loved ones!

Oops. Sorry to bring up food. Actually my life long GERD that started, at age 20, with misdiagnosed gall bladder backing up (not stones) and scaring of esophageal tissues actually has diminished to almost gone since I started vaping 3 years ago. I have cut caffiene and sodas drastically, too, and sip on mostly plain filtered water all waking hours. Water is almost always within reach no matter where I am or no matter what else I'm drinking.

Dano, I know about the esophageal spasms, neck, face, chest, rib cage front and back.... I've had a few of those without the acid to throat a few times in past few months. One time involved trachea pretty heavily. Scary. First time it happened my immediate thought was heart attack so I grabbed an aspirin and a valium at same time. Valium helped a lot.

If you are not seeing a specialist do so ASAP!!!!!

yeah - eat the charcoal after you bbq!

I may have a wife to sell in the classifieds! She's hard to understand though, but cooks well - specialties:saving soups and causing me grief!

Good luck there! I've been trying to get rid of mine for 40 years and no takers. You take such a hit on the depreciation that its cheaper to keep them.

i have just been told there's a sale on baby back ribs tomorrow and i feel rather sad that they are not on the menu today. My car seems to have attracted a lot of attention since earlier and i notice youths and ne'erdowells hanging around it and wondering why it has a t-shirt on.

When it's your car - you dress it as you please!

Good vapes to my Canadian pals - sorry it's not your independence too, or mine, but you can fix that easily (marry and lose it forever or trust the French and same)

Did i tell you i got HRH's eVic from Canada? Well before they were available here, and i was pretending to be an importer, which with my English accent was easy - 'hang on - the lotus alarm is going off!'

i am rather fond of HRH, but i realise that she needs to learn more manners and see different things and different sides of the roads for driving on, so if you could return her unharmed i'd be grateful. She thinks sex is male sex, female sex and insects. It's very hard to translate that in Dutch.

I adore rude women or what North Americans assume to be rude. Are you saying she needs good sex so she'd learn to enjoy it ? Sounds like a challenge I'm up for  :D

"Rude contact with facts chased my visions and dreams quickly away, and in their stead I beheld the horrors, the corruption, the evils and hypocrisy of society, and as I stood among them, a young wife, a great wail of agony went out from my soul. - And then i met Trunker and wailed louder"

oh.

Like I said I love the European shortness in the way they interact verbally. I wish more women here could learn the same especially my dw I'm constantly having to apologize and explain to her she took what I said wrong  she's so dangled sensitive.
