While I'm on food...lol...these, to me, are the best hotdogs known to man. They are made in a small meat packing company in northern NY. They are Glaziers. Natural skin casings. nice flavor and they pop when you bite into them. Good texture too.

I would have "liked" your post, but I did not want you to think I liked your situation.

I make all of my bread by hand (no machine). I had a machine a long time ago, and did not like the way the bread turned out. My favorite is wheat, using molasses as a sweetener. I have used honey, but prefer the molasses. Biscuits I make all the time. Use the dough to make a version of empanadas. Or, biscuits and gravy for breakfast. Or, fast food style egg sandwiches.

I also found I liked the molasses in the bread.

My choice to go gluten/wheat free. Tough to make such a big change but for the better. I have found some things that work for a substitute for bread. But nothing that gives me that same pleasure of hot, just baked bread!

Hey Sam, glad to see you posting more! But I miss your Red (or Blue?) text color. It stands out to me and you deserve it, just like Karen :) Lomba, I just call everyone George, it's safer that way

Boy it is a NICE chilly day today here in Amish country, 66F, 54% humidity, 49 dewpoint, winds 15 mph

If this country had more weather like this year round then as a whole there would be a drop in caes of mental illness and self-medicating, folks!

Natural casings are the best... Some people get really freaked out when they find out what a natural casing actually is.

My Dad worked there in the 60's, and it has been a lifelong tradition to pick up a few dogs whenever I end up downtown in the city. They pop. :)

Laurin- I'll fix my avie next time I'm up, yes I like that better. Thanks again!

Nice weather RHP! I just watched our weather and was rejoicing our cold front bringing low- mid 90's for the highs and upper 60's/ lower 70's for the lows. Super cool for our August.

Since my parents live in Scotland where haggis and black pudding is not unusual, i am not a picky eater at all!

;)

T

We coulda been brothers in another life, Jim. I was almost born in Scotland, too. Took a wrong turn and ended up in Spain. I was born in this old fishing village in a church and my mom told me one of the nurses/nuns tried to murder me by attempting to drain my blood because she thought I was a devil baby.

ETA: I lived. The nun was fired. Hallelujah, folks!

I JUST WANT TO BE VERAFIED ALREADY TO I CAN LOOK AT THE CLASSIFIEDS AND buy A REO GRAND!!!

sorry i needed to vent.

No REOs at all in the first 4 pages of the classies. They go fast, and usually fairly close to the original price unless they are banged up a little bit. Only blems on REOSmods website are mini's right now. :(

You might shoot redeyedancer a pm and ask to be notified when any Grand blemishes become available...

It was a huge investment in my eyes in the beginning too....but after I settled down from catching the REOvirus and only now buy DIY juice supplies, occasional batteries and shorty cartos I'm spending WAY less than I did on stinkies.

What are you vaping on now? RBAs are nice, but REOs are built to work with most 510 and 306 atties and 510 cartos. You could get the REO and hold off on the RBA, wire, etc until funds get right again. I've been blowing plumes with my little shorty cartos for a couple of months now. (just ordered an RM2 yesterday though...WoooHooo!)

I was browsing the classys a few minutes ago and remembered JenD's post. :thumb: There is a black REO Grand with Blue Door and REO Rebuildable for a great price now!

& it looks like the REO Purple Mini 14500 is still available too (sigh!) :)

I bought a Grand from the classys all dinged up (with character) just like you're thinking of doing. It was my first REO. Then literally less than 12 hrs later I thought the best way to evaluate Reosmods is to buy their most top of the line pricey model brand new, which is a VVG.

When I got it in the mail, I called the phone number on the business card and babbled on enthusiastically with Robert, the supreme porcupine. It was dinner time, he just let me talk and I probably scared the ol' man but he was very nice. I was suprised he picked up, I thought I'd get an answering service/machine or receptionist.

It didn't take long to get verified, I went with the paypal option. Don't nag the Mods about it, though. They're pretty busy as is. Just chill because there will always be deals to be made in the classys (and one day when you're ready - co-op's)

You should also check out ECF's PIF section which is a donation program for the needy and charitable alike. Good place to swap juices, too. Pay It Forward - PIF
