Good morning REOville!

One week down...one to go in California. I can't believe how fast time goes by while on vacation. It's going to be real hard going back to NY (reality) wish we could stay here forever! The pic below was taken from the pool area of our hotel. : )

For the RM2 experts-

I'm using 2.5 mm silica, and 30 gauge kanthal. I do a 3/4 roll and my ohm usually measures at 1.0

I'm finding that I still want a stronger hit. How can I achieve this? Will making the coils more spread apart, or putting them closer together help me accomplish this?

Try lifting your coil a little farther away from the RM2 floor. (nods to pdib and Super_X) Start watching and listening at 3 minutes 47 seconds.



And your picture is great. My first attempted run away from home was at 13, on the strand in Hermosa or Redondo Beach. Good memories.

I made one out of old purse ..leather to match interior of my mustang..used Karens as a pattern..turned out ok BUT daughter stole it for her one Reo..pfffttt ..daughters!!! Gotta love em tho
I am going to attempt another using old Harley purse. Thank goodness she only has one Reo

Good news and bad news. Well the good news is my brother is doing ok in the nursing home. I miss him so much and when he stopped emailing me i called to find out why. The bad news is he dropped his laptop and broke it, good news is it is being repaired!

More news is while i had them on the phone i asked if they allowed residents to vape in their rooms. They did say YES. Oh bad again is my brother can't talk and that is another reason he had a special laptop.

I want to send him a REO so bad but he is hell on buttons.He breaks everything because his electrocution accident has fused his hands and he doesn't trust surgery anymore.

Let me give some background about my only brother, then maybe you won't think i am a horrible sister to him.I have a cried lot of tears over him being in the nursing home. He has been there since 2010

Sonny lived with me and my DH,until his pain got so bad that he was taking a lot of prescribed pain pills. As a result of that he needed assistance to get in his wheelchair and in the bathroom etc. I did as much as i could but when i fell down transferring him and we both were hurt from the fall then he wanted to go live in a residential nursing home.

My brother was electrocuted while working in 1982.He lost both legs and had his bones start fusing together.He can't walk with his prosthetic legs unassisted and now he has skin damage so they don't try anymore. He is the best and strongest man i have ever known besides my husband who had epilepsy.

If anyone is still reading this then what i am going to do is send him some cig alikes sticks that i have, and his therapist will help him use them.She suggested no buttons to push and a lanyard. She thinks that just the kind that is auto is the best. I feel like maybe i shouldn't have posted this here now because I don't want anyone to get all sad.Plus i wish he could use a REO.

Mostly I am happy and so is my brother. Everyone in this forum makes me happy and REOS rock my world.

Dear Maggie...I read your post about you and your brother....I'm trying to digest the whole thing and what the both of you have gone through since his electrocution.

You are a wonderful and amazing sister! my heart goes out to you. Good evening everyone I am so on edge now the local news is doing a huge story on legalizing a drug and people dont understand that if it is legalized then loan sharking, gambling, prostitution, and child pornography are the next choice for the criminals I wish I could drive the message home but I guess there is no point talking to a bunch of stoned druggies

My mom knew she was going to have a boy before my brother was born I remember my Aunt spinning something over her belly and if it went one way it was a boy. So my mom asked if i wanted to name him after my dad and i said no lets name him BoBo. Which was my childhood bf across the street.

Ha, Sonny was named after our dad but didn't like being called Junior so when he got to be a teenager he asked us to call him Sonny. My dad wouldn't do that but he did start calling him Son. haha

I was 4 yrs old when Sonny was born. We have always been very close even now. In his spare time was a artist and played the drums. He worked as a roofer from the age of 15 until his accident. He knocked out the power line on Highway 200 in Ocala. He loves to joke about it being the most electrifying moment of his life. His internet names have always had Zap in them He used to post on a lot of forums until the last few years.

The Doctors are still amazed at how he survived/lived and the Doctors at Shands Hospital didn't have much hope for him. In my eyes he is my best friend/hero/inspiration and my only brother.

The nurses and therapists love him at the nursing home. He buys them candy and makes them laugh. He can make anyone laugh! Where he lives they have Guardian Angels for the residents and these people are Angels. They can get things done for the residents there.

His Guardian Angel goes shopping for him since i can't anymore. She calls me and lets me know what is going on with him the times he has to get his pc repaired. Otherwise we email each other. The internet is wonderful for shut ins of the world.

His package is ready to mail, but next month I will make the trip to see him! It takes a lot out of both of us to visit in person.We both laugh about our aches and pains for days afterwards in emails.

I am so excited and when i go to see him I will tell him all about this forum and give him the link so he can read here when he feels like it.

I know he will like seeing the Vaping and Rockin REO's vids you guys have been making!
