I had two simple clear pyrex on two RM2s, in a paper bowl, sitting too close to fresh grated parmesan, on kitchen counter the other night. Dog with Wings, Moe Doodle, pulled RM2 bowl off counter. Believe me I know just how far back to put things back, I THOUGHT!!! He continues to surprise me. At any rate, a simple pyrex DT, that has survived drops onto rocks, snapped at base landing on hard vinyl. At least I heard and was able to save the parmesan but I do wish he had gotten to cheese instead. Much cheaper. There were other small parts in bowl like DTs, o-rings, Mini A7. It was a fierce battle recovering all things with five Bubs helping.

Hi superT! HATE menthol!! But that's alright..my sinuses are cleared more now than they've been in years!

and it's so cool taking the vape thru my nose and watching it come out my mouth:D


Think I'll try two at a time...I'm having so much fun...

Poor poor T. I really feel for you. It's bad enough just having to go to dentist for anything let alone so much at one time and complications. If it helps any I see orthodontist Wed. Last appointment I got to experience his sadistic side. This time taking a pain pill before appt.

Good Day Fine REO Folk. Busy day being cook and bottle washer with a tiny bit of "chef" thrown in. Have a 15 lb slab of pork that needs cutting down with one good sized piece, loin, for tomorrow night, Val's instructions, rest small roast and some thick chops, for freezer. And two bags of COSTCO onions to slow cook, some for freezing for later carmelizing and some for later tonight Val's easy onion soup. DH was so disappointed I didn't have it ready for last night.

A loin is a beautiful piece of meat! You may not want to low and slow the loin for the 8 hours I did a shoulder though. I usually do loins much faster, because you don't have to break down the connective tissue and fat like in the shoulder and the lean meat is not very forgiving like a shoulder is. I would do it hotter than 200 for sure! More like 375/400 until 145/150ish then rest it. I like mine on the pinkish side at 150 to remain juicy, but DH is old school and thinks pink pork is bad so wants it overcooked and dry like shoe leather grey. The big problem is that we can't get pork like we used to 30 years ago. It has been bread leaner and we don't have trichonosis to worry about so between the no fat and no bugs, we can cook it less to get it how juicy it was 30 years ago. My solution is to have the very center at 145/150, foil and rest it a bit then let him eat the ends and leave the juicy middle slices to me. If he runs into slices he thinks are a bit less than he likes, I can always take the pan juices, add some wine etc. (no flour though) and then plop the slice into the heated au jus to flash it to his temp. That way we are all happy and get juicy pieces :)

A pork loin sounds wonderful! And with the soup? YUMMY. I just had some of the soup for lunch!
