My mother used to watch it, but as her brain cancer got worse she had trouble with her speech center. I was on the phone with her once and she couldn't remember the name of it, she got very frustrated. She could only say, "it's time for that, that, the show" but I knew what she meant. I have trouble watching it even 25 years later because it reminds me of her and how frustrating it became for her to just lose her words, yet still want to watch a show with words...

Ya livin' in the past Pat, ya livin' in the past man

Anyway, Lisa next time you start watching STNG let me know here or in PM and I'll watch the same episode and if all this goes down at the same time then "in a way" it's like we're watching it together! Oh yeah, I can dig it!

Does that work in different time zones? I know when Walking Dead starts up I used to be able to watch the 1800 showing on AMC then watch it again at again at 2100 :D

I have to figure out how I did that?

I'm sorry to hear about your mother, Val. Sometimes the things we hear and see in the background paint a better memory than a picture ever could. In your case it was a tv show, in my case I couldn't tell you the exact date I kissed a girl (or her name) but I can tell you what was playing on the radio at the time. And if I hear that song, it brings it all back.

So maybe instead of dusty photoalbums, we should have shelves of casette tapes with radio playdates marked. No I don't work for Rolling Stone magazine I just think outside of the box sometimes. I hear they have medication for that now, but it's all good folks.

Timezones don't matter as long as one party has the ability to watch it on-demand. Like in Lisa's case, she just tells me which episode is on TV right now and I'll rush over to my DVD collection and dig it right up. Something like that. Even though her version has commercials because it's live TV, so it's not a perfect stradegy but hey it keeps me happy

Sorry Val didnt wish to bring up bad memories

Not at all Darrel, it is what it is. She passed away over 25 years ago, I have had a lot of time to deal with it. I just have that one memory every time I watch it is all. It is probably a good thing I do, a lot of other memories have faded over the years. It's kind of nice to at least have something of her left. Even if it doesn't seem to be the best of things to remember, anything is better than a lot of nothing.

LOLz you can cheat and know all the answers. You would then have to give up the village idiot title though since you would be so smart :D

What a long couple of days. Had a wonderful time trying to squeeze my 53' trailer into a dock designed for 20' pup trailers. And of course it's way to narrow for my big ole truck so I actually had my trailer door rubbing the building to get into the dock. Took me 30 minutes to get into this tight spot.......then once I finally do the guy comes out to me and goes "You're going to be really mad at me.....BUT I need this at the other building". I've never wanted to choke someone so much in my life as I did when he told me that!
