So I'm still picking out my first Reo Grand, and I noticed some talk of upcoming internal hardware improvements.

Then I checked today, and my preferred one, (black wrinkle hammer tone silver), is now sold out. :(

So, my question is: how soon will the improvements be implemented? Since the one I want is currently OOS, should I wait for the "new and improved" Grand?

The Reonauts' advice is appreciated. TIA. :)

It will be about a month, but unless you vape sub-ohm you won't need the improvements. Even so, he will make a kit available so you can upgrade it yourself or even send it back and he can do it for you.

You also might want to send him a message with your color choices. He may just have them and not have them listed.

Welcome to REOville!

vsummer1, I'm still inexperienced enough that I don't know how much I'd appreciate the ability to sub-ohm vape, (haven't tried it yet), with the upcoming changes.

I'll send him a msg and ask whether or not my preferred color choice is currently available or not, so I'll know my options before I decide.

Thanks! :)

Those are awesome! :)

Grew them in 2 gallon pots. All I did was water them, and they kicked some ..... Been very happy with the yield. I did not grow from seeds, but from starters I bought at a local garden. They started in the Spring at about 2" high. They are like a bush now and been feeding me since early summer. The Hybrid peppers are almost too hot though. The last one made my eyes water, and it lingered for like 30 minutes. It was a long 30 minutes lol.

that is rare...I don't think I've even met anyone who hasn't been in a wreck. I've been in 4 ...none of which were my fault.

50 years of driving and no wrecks. The insurance companies love me. I have 4 speeding tickets for that same 50 years. Unfortunately, I just recently got one in our new car. CATastrophe gave me stuff for quite some time about that.

For the most part that's true. I have a flawless driving record in a truck and car for the last 10 years. No tickets, no accidents, no failed inspections, and never been late with the exception of circumstances I couldn't control. BUT there are some bad drivers out there. The new laws although some a royal pain in the rear are working towards getting rid of those drivers permanent by documenting their actions and keeping track so employers can find them easier. It also helps predict the likely hood of a crash by showing patterns of bad driving.

Yes. They ought to target Chicago and all of New Jersey.

Bold is the key part. And to top off confident you have the knowledge to back it up. And driving a big truck and spending a lot of time on the roads you gain a almost psychic sense about predicting other drivers actions. You learn the signs of when someone is lost, or when they are going to change lanes. And also you know to watch way further up the road instead of right in front of you. ;)

I never will forget the time when I was driving down the road, and saw a tire come off a truck up the road a bit. I actually saw myself calculating the trajectory of the tire as it rolled down the road toward me. That was really a trip.

Tangent alert:
There was a trucker in Eastern Wa that I was really fond of. He delivered lumber loads to the place I worked....I think he worked for GP. Double flat beds. Anyway...he had told me stories of the road, some of which I thought was far fetched. Until the day I saw it happen. The highways over there are mostly two lane, and I guess there was a popular game played on truckers. Kids in little street cars like Honda Civics and Geo Storms and the like would pass a truck, then get in front of the truck and then all of a sudden slam on their brakes. Just as soon as the truck get's really close (all locked up and smoking) they hit the gas and take off. Let me just say that this guy had the patience of a saint to put up with that. He never wrecked, but he didn't have grey hair for nothing.

Insurance in NJ was really bad when we did our time there (18 months of h....). It seems that there were lots of people that were doing that just to rip off the insurance companies. They even made an Allstate commercial out of it. Interestingly enough, Allstate did not offer insurance in NJ (nor Nationwide) because of all the high claims. (Have I said I hate NJ?)

I did tomatoes and peppers from seed this year. The peppers did wonderfully, but the tomatoes not so much. Too much rain for the tomatoes. I am going to try to grow them in pots this winter.

Morning Reo-fam! Been in here reading but no time to gather my thoughts to post them. Painted the interior of a new doctors office this week. Did it in three days which was quite a trick. Hardest part was painting inside a 35 foot contemporary skylight, cutting in all the wierd angles by hand. I remember looking down off my 32 foot ladder and thinking...boy , that would really leave a mark!

I see most of you are well as can be. Big huggs for those that aren't. My life is even gonna get busier in the next few weeks. Not really looking forward to the stress. I manage by focusing on the things most people skip during hi-stress. Proper and regular food, water, exercise and sleep. (That's the hard one) Miss you all.

As you were.......

My mother used to watch it, but as her brain cancer got worse she had trouble with her speech center. I was on the phone with her once and she couldn't remember the name of it, she got very frustrated. She could only say, "it's time for that, that, the show" but I knew what she meant. I have trouble watching it even 25 years later because it reminds me of her and how frustrating it became for her to just lose her words, yet still want to watch a show with words...

Wheel of Fortune is a tough one for me now also.

My last couple of days with my Mom before her death were spent in the hospital. One evening I remembered it was time for WOF. She was laying there eyes closed and quiet. I told her that WOF was coming on. She perked up some and said "Oh, my favorite!"

She was not able to really enjoy it. I stood and cried, knowing that it would be the last time we watched it together.

Even the memory of it bring on the tears.
