Just my rambling thoughts looking for a home :D

Why does the word female have a male under her? Her is another word that mysteriously (to me) has a He under her! What about woman is it just says so much about having a man under as usual. She is combined with he. So are men inferior since they the last part of those words? Is it a trick? Who thought these words up for people? And one more is why him it isn't fair...

With animals it is so different. Sometimes you would be wise not to use the names given like for dogs and chicken/fowl

ok there isn't a point to this pointless post except it was fun for me

ETA: oops Her has He at the front

Good (insert time of day) REOville!

WELCOME new REOpeeps! I know I spied at least one today venturing into the lounge!

It has been an action packed weekend, between a friend's Bday party last night and the meet today, and it isn't over yet

We made it to Vapetoberfest and home safe and sound. The venue was way too small, the entire room was just one big cloud of vapor and while the fire alarm didn't go off while we were there, we heard it had Friday 3 times. I couldn't imagine it being any worse than it was, because it actually made DH uncomfortable with a headache and we had to go outside for air several times. The vendors were letting you taste juice, but DH only got 2 sample bottles! We get more stuff from a local vapemeet when we bring our stuff and put it in the free for all pile and take a few we might like? It was just under 200 miles round trip for us and the only thing that made it worth it was, of course, the PEOPLE.

We had the honor of meeting Darkzero and his friend, and Wharf Rat made it down from Fresno so it was a joy to spend some time with him as well. There were a lot of tubes everywhere, and non-bottom feeder boxes but I didn't see any other REO's. I did see a lot of people rebuilding their coils and wondered how that many people could blow a coil at once? Mine have lasted well over a month with rewicking and burning? I didn't find anything to buy, which is fine since I am saving my pennies for a brand spanking new wood REO.

I saw one poor soul with a bottle dripping into an rda so I showed him my REO's (I had my Grand and VV, and DH had his mini so all sizes were represented). I was a little sad that I have no more business cards for Rob, because that poor guy was really interested at how easy dripping could be and the bottle on board, but alas, may forget the name and never find the REO again. I gave out all my REO cards at Vapefest :D

We came home and I started to try to catch up, but fell asleep. I woke up and the whole house was snoozing. I think I slept just long enough to get over the exhaustion and until the leg woke me to tell me I suck for walking too much  I see a pain pill in my immediate future, and I can't remember when I had to take the last one but the non-narcotics just don't cut it sometimes.

I don't like to post before I catch up, so sorry this is coming so late. I learned my lesson powerfully and I don't ever want to do that again :nah:

I know there were a few posts I wanted to comment on, but between falling asleep and the throbbing knee, they have slipped my mind. I did notice AZZ was here though, so a shout out to you AZZ to let you know I am thinking of you. Which reminded me of DAVE and his shoulder, have we heard from him????

No one wants to chat with me when I am on pain killers? I took a percocet (not my favorite but may as well get rid of one), so may not be able to sleep. Narcotics make my mind all strange, and I hate them. Lucky me too, with as many as the docs prescribed (and I needed to get through the day while my leg was wired straight for a year, then the bone growing wrong and 4 surgeries) addiction was a real danger. I get all itchy in the face too. That is how I know they are working, the knee stops getting the attention and the face starts getting scratched

And my face is itching, so typing helps...

When you get itchy and start to feel nauseous its your body basically telling you youve taken too much

But from 1 percocet lol? .... i used to take 10 at a time :(

BTW i hope im not breaking the rules talking about this... Sorry if I am

I think it is okay because they are prescribed. But yes, I guess it is just lucky for me that I get this reaction. Since I dislike the way I react, I only take them when really necessary. If not, there is NO DOUBT I too would be addicted just based on the sheer numbers I had to take to function with the pain.

I don't like percocet just because of the 325 acetaminophen, that stuff is bad if you take over 3000 mgs per day, so 10 at a time would be terrible for the liver. It is the number one cause of fulminate liver failure! I prefer Norco but since I haven't taken any in a while I figured I would get rid of a Percocet. You are so lucky you made it out alive, and are getting the treatment you need to recover.

Today I only took the REO's and my Delsy actually made it out of the house for the first time ever since Wharf makes the DNA20 Dark Star. It's nice to be able to compare the various sizes and craftmanship side by side. Where I live there isn't really anyone who has these things, they are all eGos and tubes. Except of course Ben and Christie, who were kind enough to let me hold one of their REO's before I got mine.

See me changing the subject?

Hi, Val! That's a bummer about Vapetoberfest being an overcrowded bust, I know you were looking forward to it. Meeting Wharf & Darkzero is cool though!
I'll be roaming around for a few minutes if you still feel chatty!

Its actually 4000mgs of acetaminophen per day but that doesnt really matter, and I did cold water extracts most of the time which got rid of the tylenol and left me just with the good stuff, but when I didnt do that, i never exceeded 4000mgs a day. And it wasnt only percocet, percocet I used when I couldnt get dilaudid(hydromorphone) which is stronger. Which contains no tylenol.

And yes I am currently on Suboxone which is an Opiate Replacement for the time being to stop my withdrawals and cravings and I go to counselling once a week which is killing my bank account. But its worth it. Addiction is a life long battle and itll always be with me. I even take Antabuse everyday which prevents me from consuming alcohol. If you drink on Antabuse you will end up in the hospital. So I am now a clean bee. The strongest thing I take for pain is advil or tylenol or motrin.

Also norco is not available in Canada. They use percocet or percodan instead. So ive never tried it, but ive heard norco isnt as strong as oxycodone and norco is hydrocodone i believe. It all metabolizes into similiar things in the liver which deliver the dopamine reaction so its all the same really. Just some are stronger than others. I dont even mind talking about it. Ive stood up infront of a group of kids in their young 20's to give a speech on why to never get into these pills because of what it can do to your life. its not worth it. And I felt it was the right thing to do. Because if i could save just 1 of those kids from getting addicted, I felt like I did my part.

Well, it wasn't a bust for me really, I never try the juice anyway. Since I DIY and need VG, I am happy with what I make. DH can take PG, so he can try anything and usually buys some or is stuck vaping my juice whether he likes it or not

I PIF all the stuff we get that he doesn't like and still have a bunch from Vapefest he needs to decide on before I PIF it.

How was your day?

In 2011 the APAP max daily dose was lowered to 3000 from 4000 mgs. Too many people dying even at 4000. Norco is hydrocodone, you are correct on that. I don't notice much of a difference since I just want the pain to go away. I usually only took half a Norco and if needed more would pop the 2nd half so I could get less APAP. Norco are 10/325, where the Percocet is 5 mg oxycodone and 325 APAP. They are just the oldest ones I have so decided to do a "first in, first out" when I took the percocet

The only reason I know all this stuff is I am an RN, so pharmaceuticals are part of the training ;)

ETA: and that is a wonderful thing you do, to admit your addiction and go and speak to kids about it. It must have been a tough road you walked, and sharing it to help others from taking that same walk is so worth your time! Congrats on how far you have come!

ETA again: OMG, dialudid and I do NOT get along! I become a crazed maniac who demands to leave AMA fresh from surgery! Next time (still need a total knee replacement) I have surgery, I am telling them NO dilaudid ever unless they want someone trying to walk naked out of their recovery room again! And they were knee surgery, so I couldn't walk! It is NOT pretty!

Day was good. My stepdad came by with a pumpkin and twenty bucks he wanted to trade for the one I carved already. ( his granddaughters birthday is today) Neighbor saw it and wants two for his kids.
 that's a pretty good start on the Woodvil fund!

So now you have a fresh one to carve and 20 bucks, that sounds like a good day! If you were near me, I would certainly help with the REO fund. I am embarrassed at how happy I used to be of DH's skills when I saw yours! Poor DH, I think he is a little intimidated now

We can't do ours until a day or two before Halloween though, or they get all dark and fuzzy

ETA: my mind is fuzzy, I think you made SIXTY bucks today if you charged your neighbor???

The faces that I painted (acrylic paint) were holding up a lot better than what I didn't paint. Still haven't tried the lemon juice idea. The first one I did hit the chicken pile yesterday.

Yep, sixty bucks!!

Spellcheck got lost, autocorrect is having a party, so excuse errors and nonsense.
Is it time for coffee yet?
