The faces that I painted (acrylic paint) were holding up a lot better than what I didn't paint. Still haven't tried the lemon juice idea. The first one I did hit the chicken pile yesterday.

Yep, sixty bucks!!

Spellcheck got lost, autocorrect is having a party, so excuse errors and nonsense.
Is it time for coffee yet?

I googled how to keep them looking fresh a while ago, and I think I remember someone using several different techniques and time lapsing photos. I think the result was that nothing works to keep them very long. Since around here even our modest results put us at risk of losing fingers, we wait until they will still be good for the kiddos to see when trick-or-treating.

I really wanted to find a vendor giving out sample juice today, cuz I wanted to hold out my bag and say "trick or treat!". I did get some do-dads and got to say it once though

good morning reovillians :)

Good morning Scott!

I took my newhickey with me to vapetoberfest. When I pulled it out to check my '350's on the VV, I thought of you and Oscar and smiled. I think I told you that before, that every time I use it I think of you. I better not tell DH that though, I use that thing several times a day and he might start to wonder who the heck is the guy she is always thinking and smiling about!

Good morning, Scott, did you get any good sleep?

Val- I might have read the article you're talking about...several steps including a big bucket of bleach water.

I think it was this one I was remembering:
How to Preserve a Halloween Pumpkin - Keep a Jack O' Lantern Fresh

ETA: I wonder if putting PG or VG on it would work? It would keep it moist, is anticrobial and antifungicidal, they use PG as an air cleaner right? I can see it now, a bunch of vapers smearing their old juice all over the pumpkins!

I have a barely used gallon of pg...I'll give it a go.
The VG is all mine

Think I'll try to catch a few more zzzz' s....I hope the itching subsides and you get some relief from that knee!

Thank you! I think I am going to take a diphenhydramine (benadryl) which will help me sleep and stop the itching.

Let us know how the PG experiment works, I have about a gallon of it also that isn't being used. I got it before I realized it makes my throat feel "thick". The more I think about it, the more I think it *might* just work since the two worst things that happen to the carved pumpkins are dehydration and mold. Maybe my mind isn't so bad on pain killers

That looks great! DH has Karen's black cozy on his black wrinkle mini and that would complete the look! I know I read in another thread how it was done, but could you let me know how you did it?

i simply took one of the brass RM2 that i got from Rob and painted it the chrome finish needs to be removed

Morning all. Well we ended up seeing some of that nasty white stuff yesterday. Thankfully not a lot of snow but still enough to see it. Guess winter is on it's way! Just these bones are not ready for it! Waiting for my 2nd Grand will be delivered tomorrow with a RM2. Now have to place another order of Boba's Bounty. With the RM2 got my nic down to 9mg which is great because I started at 24mg and that was 9 mos ago. Even if I get down to 0mg I will probably still vape because I love it that much! Nothing like a Reo! Don't know where I would be today (probably 6 ft under) had I not quit analogs. Ended up in ER a couple of nights ago and the staff were all thrilled that I quit smoking and had nothing negative to say about me vaping. Now most all my family and friends are vaping and quit smoking which was my mission!

Good morning, REOvil!

I hope everyone is warm. Can't believe Cheri has snow!! We got our first light frost last night, but it is already comfortably warm in my glass house. Huge windows are great for cold weather, on sunny days anyway.

For Karen... I'm hoping the infrared thing works too! Funny how when you read before buying they say "heats up to 1500 sq. feet" and the first sentence in the manual is "The Lifesmart Infrared heater works with your in-home furnace to provide supplement heat." :glare:

Yes, I know Jen. Some people might think they can heat a whole house with the one heater. I didn't get it to keep my whole place warm. Just for the room I am in most.

With colder weather I should be able to keep the furnace temp turned down and use the supplemental heater in my "living" room. At least that is what I plan. We will see how it goes.

I did a little research on quartz heaters and had then recommended to me by a couple different people. Even a lady that was shopping by us said she had two of them and would be getting another. She said they really worked good.

I don't know, in time I will know.
