i was just looking at all those pics of spider webs on trees and wondering about using them as wicks! Hey Smurf - i could get a load of them and thread them thru one of super-x's nanocoils! She just rolled her eyes.

So i was wondering if anyone had tried silk before (not necessarily spider webs)?

This all started because i was bored a little earlier and rummaging in my toolbox i found some porous ceramic wick that i had tried in an A7 (and it was dire) and so i thought i'd give it another bash but with 30g wire this time.

I still cant get used to the flavor when using cotton, and ive tried several types and several times. I just prefer silica for some reason wrapped in 7 coils of 28g coming out at about 1.15Ω

i typically use silica too but it's because i am hard on my devices and vape nonstop all day. Cotton is ruined in a day. With silica i can get a week out of it.

Cotton also uses more juice imo. On an atty with the posts close together i will use microcoils and cotton from necessity, but in an RM2 my usual wick and coil setup is very fat (3mm+) silica wick and dual 32g coils that meter about 1Ω.

Sundays are re-coiling day for me!

I do the same every sunday. I tried stacked dual coils at 4 wraps each of 28g, it was just a bit too hot for me

HRH has one of those angled drip tips (not quite as bad as Scott's microphone), a sort of holder for a drip tip that rotates.

i just happened to get some nice new silver ss tips last week and so she perused my collection and the usual highway robbery ensued: "oh - i like that one - it's mine now".

That's why i voted for gun control!

Jus' a quick fly by catching up on the latest chat. Thanks for the Gatlin pics/video Darrell, nuthing puts a bigger grin on my face than the little guy. Val, glad to hear yer feeling better and congrats on the orchid plant Jen. T, get HRH that dog......the upkeep is nut cheap and there is some maintenance but its all worth it. I'm starting to get ...... at doves recently, they keep coming around trying to eat Zippo's dog food. Started that paint job on my garage, gave Zippo a bath and washed my car, so was too tired to revisit the ville yesterday (sorry gang).

Gotta meet with a prospective client that wants to rent my old townhouse soon, wish me luck.

Got 2 model owls and they don't pay it much mind, maybe a stuffed cat be better. Zippo knows when I'm in a good mood.....if I ain't, he keeps clear.
