Good morning REOvillians!

I tried to prompt DH into carving pumpkins last night, but he was busy tearing apart (cleaning!) the office last night in search of some computer thingy. Hopefully he won't be too rushed tonight to get them done and either hurt himself or screw them up.

I found a nice app for my iPad that lets me add my recipes either from the web or by typing. That occupied my time a few hours, and I haven't quite mastered it. I spent a bunch of time entering recipes (like my spatchcocked chicken) and didn't back it all up before I hit a wrong button. So gave up and will try again

The more I use it like this, the more I want a keyboard for it. I type fairly fast (was a glorified secretary in a past life, took shorthand and used dictation) so can peck fast as well, but nothing like just typing as I am thinking.

I hope everyone has a great day, and for those in need of healing thoughts my prayers are with you!

Good morning, everyone! :)

Congratulations, Cynthia...he's beautiful!

Val...I have the same issue with my tablet (not an iPad). I like it, but I really prefer having a keyboard, so I don't use it much. I think perhaps I'll ask Santa for a keyboard for my tablet and then I'll probably use it more.

I got a keyboard for my Tablet. Sometimes it's very handy, but sometimes it easier to do the touch.

Good morning! :)

This is for large gatherings.

The only problem with the keyboards is that they just updated the iOS and I read that some of the aftermarket (read: cheap from china) keyboards are not fully compatible with the new OS. Which means I will have to either wait for china to catch up, or pay a lot for one at the local Best buy which will ensure that all features work (or I can march it back and return it). I find it difficult to buy one that costs MORE than I paid for the thing itself (lucky me!!!) even considering the $25 gift certificate towards it. So, I am still weighing my want/need for one vs. the cost/benefit of buying aftermarket vs. buying one that will positively work as it should costing 3 times as much.

I knew the new Air was coming out on the 1st, but since I had a deadline on the 15 day return, I went with the "old" one to get the upgraded memory. I am pretty happy with it, but wonder if I should now return it and get the new one when it comes out since I will be in the 15 day window for it. The one I have is very fast, but the new one will have a new chip and is lighter and thinner and of course more expensive. I am leaning towards just keeping it.

Anyone care to weigh in?

I have some high quality problems here

Have you seen the gem he left in a welcoming thread?

"i once had one that was drilled out but it ended up getting peed on..."

Dennis, hun...are you off your meds tonight? It's been ten minutes since I first read that, and I'm still laughing so hard there are tears.

that was just my way of saying i gave pdib a drilled out rm2...

it made perfect sense at the time, but now that you mention it, i think i did forget to take my meds yesterday :)

A buddy of mine from my last base wanted to start vaping, so I got him set up with an Evod kit just to begin with.

After getting some decent juice over to him, he was excited about his "clouds" of vapor.
Wanting to show him what his vape-future holds, I sent him a quick little video of me with my Grand.

He then rapid-texted me back with this. Thought it was too funny and had to share.
His enthusiasm/excitement/energy in real life is EXACTLY how you read his words in your head.

Got my car back from evil/idiot stepfather today...WooooHoooo!

It now has a horrific screaching rattle somewhere in the rear end, he replaced two rear tires that were still under warranty with mismatched used tires, the hubcaps (one of which is missing) won't go on these new used tires because the lugnuts are now in backwards...two nuts aren't even there, low coolant and brake lights are on, an inch of dog hair inside.

Who needs enemies when they've got family?
Vent over....maybe :grr:

Well, at least you know not to lend to him again. I don't care if it is family, when I lend something I expect to get it back in at least the same condition if not better than when I lent it out.

That said, I do have a friend that is down on her luck. If I lent her something and something happened to it, I would prefer to fix it/replace it myself since she does not have the resources to do anything and I understand that when something goes to her. So when I lend her something, I always tell her to let me know if there are any problems with it to let me know right away so I can get it working again. And so far so good. But then she knows I am a lot more picky than she is anyway ;)

Maybe he was trying to help and just isn't as picky as you, so you need to let him know that if something needs "fixing" you would prefer he let you do it

I must be the only one in the world who didn't know how to peel my bananas the right way o_O I always did the stem end...

Me too, but then I don't eat them as I had an allergy as a child so never really acquired a liking for the smell, taste, texture or phallic way of eating them. DH eats one every morning though, and he does it wrong too. I will have to let him know that I saw how to do it on the internet, so it must be true.

Damn clever monkeys aren't they?
