The one's that are a little wiser, cooler, and just all-round better, than the riff-raff and teacher's pets at the front..

Morning Reoville - Having some trouble with my RM2. The cap is stuck on the base. I have two of them and went to switch them out so I can clean the one I was currently using and I have the 2nd one ready with a coil made on it but can't get the cap off. I do not believe the threads are stripped or anything. And I try not to tighten the cap on too tight. But I can not get the cap off. I tried using one of those rubber things that you use to get jar lids off etc. I even had my Husband try to get it off but his hands are so larger it is hard for him to hold it and he is extremely strong but he could not get it off. I hate to have to use pliers on it. I always clean the juice off well using an alcohol wipe esp around the threads. Any suggestions? Soak in hot water? And any ideas how to prevent this in the future?

*Fave vendors are probably MBV and Heather's Heavenly Vapes, although I've tried quite a lot of vendors over the months..
*The RM2 will be my very first RBA. Never built a coil in my life. I am however, a fast and enthusiastic learner.
*I bought the first DarkZero jig in Australia !

If the cause is juice gumming it up, soaking in hot water will help.

Now, if you end up needing to use pliers, put that rubber from a jar opener around the base of the RM2 (NOT the threads). Be careful if you use pliers on the cap. It is soft and might collapse on you. In short, go slow and careful and you will be ok.

When i use pliers on anything i take a piece of cloth or folded paper towel around the object then i don't worry about scratches.

Just used this combo the other day to remove a RM2. Easy as pie.

I do not have that problem. However, it may just be how I put the RM2 on the grand. I never have it put together when I put it on. I take the cover off, and put just the base on the Grand. Then when I have the coil lined up where I want it, I screw the top on. I only screw the top on until it is snug, nothing more. The seal and alignment is done between the bottom of the RM2 and the Grand. In 6 months, I have had the RM2 cover loosen by itself only once.

I never had that problem. I put the base on without the cap on then screw the cap on to the base. Do you have the RM2 off the Reo?

Only one time did it seem impossible to take the cap off, and that was when I sanded one of my RM2s down to the brass. The spinning tightened it.

Yes it does. And seems to screw smoothly. Maybe somehow it got over tightened or some juice gooed up on it. I use Boba's and it is thick. This time when I cleaned it I blew thru the post to make sure any left juice was not in the juice hole. Maybe that was the problem?????
