and I know.... Squonking is the hip new thing right?! Lol. I had a chalice that I felt I wasn't getting much out of and sold it.... I wish I had just held on to it now as I would have a killer RDA for this REO when I comes.

Nice to meet you Matt. We have a few other Matt's around here also. I take it you are a medic? I am an ICU/CCU RN and had a severely comminuted transverse patellar fracture which hasn't done well after 4 surgeries. I sure miss nursing, but this injury doesn't allow me to take care of patients any longer, I would never pass the physical and it was a career ender
I don't know about squonking being new, I still feel kind of new with it vs. some of the people here, and have had REO's over a year now. I am sure someone who has the facts on Rob's mods can tell you more precisely than I how long they have been around, but it is a lot longer than you would think. We just aren't out in the forum in force like the Provarinati squad and their fanaticism. Though don't get me wrong, I fanatically LOVE my REO's. Just like the Provari, REO's just aren't for everyone. Some people just don't "get" dripping and are happy with their tanks

Well I am 1 class from an associates in applied science I'm sadly not a medic. I'm a gamer and that's my gamer tag. It has been for years since I started college in pursuit of an MD but I never finished it because I ran out of money and I copped an attitude. I hit my rebellious stage a little too late for my own good. Lol. But either way, it's nice to meet you val and I'm sorry that you had a career ending injury! What exactly happened in the initial injury? And you have had 4 surgeries?! Wow... Your one tough cookie!

Good morning everyone!
I fell down and went "BOOM!". We don't really know what happened, I was crossing the street in front of the house to go to my birthday party at a neighbor's house, DH had the booze for Irish Car Bombs. Next thing I knew, I was on the ground and couldn't move my leg. DH said it sounded like a melon smashing when it hit. They had to fireman carry me out of the middle of the street while they delivered the alcohol to the party, then come back and take me to the hospital. I refused an ambulance because, being a nurse, I wasn't bleeding profusely nor did I have chest pain or breathing problems. Looking back, I needed an ambulance and was in shock. I didn't trip over anything; either my other knee gave out and I went straight down on it, or it broke in two then shattered when I hit the pavement (it is a fascinating that the thigh has enough power to do that spontaneously, though of course it is rare). I had no history of knee problems prior, though nurses do tend to wear out their knees disproportionately. Had I had a few drinks prior to the fall, all would have been well because we all know drunks bounce
As for being tough, believe me I had no choice. I just started another round of PT to try to strengthen the hip and thigh, but prognosis is still pretty damn bleak.
How about you? Do you have plans to take that one class you have left? Or has your interest waned in the medical field? My niece started as an EMT and is now a paramedic with the fire department, and all she started with was the basic courses
ETA: I got to utter the words, "I've fallen and I can't get up" while laughing maniacally in the middle of the street at the ludicrousness of the situation.

Its an important thing to do in '96 when we had a huge one here I was driving hospital staff to the hospital in my spare time I had an ugly old beater 4x4 and they all loved the ride

That was that winter of 95/96? That winter was brutal. We had to have the National Guard come in to help dig our city out ( having just sold our snow plows a few months before because "it never snows here"
) We didn't do anything so heroic as we weren't as able as some, but we did go shopping for our immediate neighbors since we were better prepared and in better shape to do so. Busted out our snowshoes on day 3 and hiked in to the store. But since then, I've always wanted to have at least one snow mobile on hand...you know, just in case. I haven't "needed" one since, but I really don't like the idea of being snowed in and when we move later this year, the grocery store & services won't be just 10 blocks away like they are now...it will be 15 miles away.Well I will most likely go back and finish the degree after my fiancée finishes hers and I am just coasting right now since I have a good job and it pays decently enough for us to live. ) with here and my 5yr old daughter I just wanna make sure we can afford the debt before we assume too much of it. so I would love to go back for engineering. But it will have to wait for a bit.

Don't feel bad....I have a chalice...and honestly, I love it. But I found I like the RM2 better. With the chalice, I was having to clean out my bottle every day because my juice would turn sour. Turns out with the bowled cup, the little burnt juice bits would end up in the bottle. The RM2 has a flat ceramic base...and for the most part, the "dregs" don't usually get drug back into the bottle, so I can go for days and days without having to rinse the bottle. Other than that...the chalice is a fabulous RBA.
Hi Lisa! :wave: I have the igo bf coming with it.... I just figured I would have rather had the chalice.... I might try and grab an ERA though.... I'm all about looks lol!

Howdy Reo-gangsters! And welcome Matt to our little family. Well I had a major relapse. Cant seem to lift my head off the pillow and have been sleeping constantly. Hope everyone survived the "vortex" fairly unscathed. I actually havent gone out much in it as it hit while I was sick. Thats it back to the couch for now. Huggggs and backslaps!

Depending on which batteries you use, and how much you are into cleaning your mod, you can safely go to 0.5 ohm. Less than that, you will have too much sparking from the battery connection, which will melt the fire button, and will cause the safety spring to sag. With resistance less than 1.0 ohm, you might have to clean (and noalox) your firing pin frequently.

You would do best to stay above .5 and closer to .8 or .9. Be aware that with sub ohm vaping you will need to clean and noalox the positive battery contact more often...probably once a week. There is an upgrade kit coming soon that should eliminate this issue and greatly decrease the voltage drop. Parts are on order...just waiting for them to arrive.
