i wondered where my father was - but i never thought he'd pop up vaping a double barrelled silver bullet with a Newcastle accent! That's Frank's neck of the woods!

I understood every word he said sadly, but i did build a hospital there. I sound more to Americans like this : Free Pie and Chips - YouTube

I can not believe that you let that beauty go Jen. Perfection right there.
Yeah, I'm could just kick myself over a few that I have let come and go. My truly special ones were lucky enough to be adopted by Karen, Dan Patrick and Alice so I don't worry about them.

Drive by. Recovering from way too stressful week. Too pooped to even go to The Oasis tonight for oysters and Heart Tribute band. Marathon movies today with DH. Hangover 1 already, Due Date, break with Ed Shultz, and Hangover more a little later. Hope all are well or feeling better. Glad our OK, AK REOnauts made it okay. Scary. Hugs and love, Feisty Alice

Rest assured any way any of my precious Woodvils will go anywhere, while I'm alive and kicking, would be to very select REOnaut WOOD lovers in trade for another Woodvil. Have to keep them in immediate family.

Hugs, Feisty Alice

I like to look at them, but what makes my Reo rather special is its ability to effortlessly survive 15 trips to concrete floor with just bent corners - which i hear is the new fashion anyway - it's the one i'd never part with, my knackered black/black will outlive us all!

Maybe if i'd had a better idea of what i was after in the first place it might have helped.

And I feel honored to have "our" children residing at "New Fort West." They are loved, admired, and appreciated.

That top one is the bomb! What is your line of succession exactly? husband - kids - grandkids - trunker?

i really think it's about time there was another feeding frenzy for new ones - seems to me the Philippines have most of them from Nerak's pics.

And this time number them rather than daft names!

That's one reason I love my Curly Oaks and Walnut Woodvils. They have survived lots of tosses and slams onto hard flooring and many "swimming" sessions with nary a scratch, dent, or scuff. I protect them much more than the Silver Anodized but I'm not worried for their safety or condition or even appearance in less than most protected situations. Some of my Woodvils are too delicate to subject to a lot of conditions, though.

i'll hazard a guess...

'to who - that feckless grandchild that never kissed me or sent me a birthday card' - good - keep those things fresh in your memory! lol.

I like that wood combination is all - i have long said it'd not work in my day to day life but the grand does. You were lucky too with your vv's Alice when you drowned them! I''ve seen lesser models die fast.

Oh Alice, that was either really nice or really mean posting that picture of the Coco mini. I have not figured out just which yet. Drooolll.....

Uh, sorry. I do love the toughness of the Cocobolo and goodness my largest numbers are the Mini Woodvils but Coco Mini is a rather plain little guy compared to most of the others. And, of course, he has a lot of red tone that I do so adore.

Feisty's Most Fragile - VVW All Splated Maple (Just did that to get Karen's goat. SPALTED) (any of the non-stablized Burls and Spalted are very fragile compared to most of the others. Not good to drop them onto any hard surface.)

"what's that at the bottom of the pool - is that my eVic?" "reckon so" "does it still work?" "i dunno - i have trouble vaping underwater" "would you get it for me?" "ok".

"what does it say?" "dunno - thought you were Dutch" "just funny stuff on the display" "oh Japanese comedian" - here's a reo mini, no fancy display, just works!

i blame you guys for this Reo conversion - you know who you are!

Not luck. I know my Woodys and Woodvils and this is truly "Home of the Swimming REOs" for real. Never had any issues with any of the many that enjoy regular "swims."

{edit} I prefer to take the Woods to the spa where there is always a good chance they will take a dive. But I haven't ever taken a VVW out there. Also, I do like to let the metal REOs dry out before using after taking the plunge or an intended bath. Suitable Woods (mechanical) I just remove the battery, wipe out, blow out atty, and pop a dry battery in. "Swimmer" battery get's dried out for a week or more before putting on charger. A few of the Woodvils don't get near water, most of the time. But with all the wax, inside and outside, a little water does them no harm. I wouldn't opt to let them spend more than a few seconds in the water but the Oak, Purpleheart, Teak, Coco, Walnut have had lots of, hours at a time, "steaming" while enjoying the spa with momma.

This little guy Mini Woodvil, Black Palm, does not do well in high humidity conditions. Even fully waxed, inside and out, I wouldn't subject him to any air humidity over 50%. That's why I advised early on for people wanting the look to go with Wenge. I think Robert only made two of the Black Palms and the palm was so difficult to work he didn't enjoy making them. I do adore it a lot. TennDave took his to the shore, on vacation, within days after he received his. He quickly reported some swelling and shrinking going to and from from air conditioning and sea side where there was a lot of humidity. I haven't had any issues with mine but it was immediately waxed upon arrival and it stays inside all the time. Feisty Alice

Cocobolo and Black Palm are the heaviest woods in my collection. Surprisingly, the very tough Walnut, is in the lighter group.
