And good morn Reopeeps! I'm off to town to take care of some business so I can get down to some serious packing for the move...it's this coming Mon! I've had to go slow n easy and take lotsa coffee/lounge breaks but I'm getting there. Actually I'm tickled with myself that at my age I'm doing all this by myself.

Good Morning everyone! Hope everyone has a cool place to hang out today to escape the heat!

My CC got hacked again. Not as bad as it could have been. After the first time I started using a second account on line(that doesn't have any cycling bills on it) and kept the other one with my routine insurance payments, phone bills, Dish, etc. off the internet. So it's just a simple close and re-issue and I don't have to spend all morning get my accounts updated. Once again Chase flagged it as fraudulent and declined the charge, so they didn't lose any money either and the thief walked away empty handed. However, the bright spot of all of this was when I spoke to the Chase rep about the fraud. He sounded just like Peter Lorre!! Kid.You.Not!
He would keep asking me if I had any other questions and I'd think of something to ask just to keep him talking!!

Only "liked" your post about the fraud because I LOVE Peter Lorre, too! Glad it's getting straightened out for you. I, too, am looking forward to hearing/seeing more from your trip and the service, REOville ambassadors! Wow, Kay, tackling all that a move entails on your own IS totally impressive. But I'm not surprised that you can pull it off; we all do know how much you rock, after all. As for Nutz, I'm wishing we had some sort of phone number list for those of us who are happy to add ours; I think someone had mentioned this before.

I was finding this guy so hysterically funny to listen to on the phone. Of course I could only be laughing on the inside since he held my new card in his hands.

I called my card in lost last week, and picked up my new one at Chase immediately. I don't use it online though, and pay my recurring bills from my account not my debit card. I use the American Express and Discover cards to pay recurring bills, I get cashback or points for doing it. Then I set them both up with auto payments from my bank. I never miss a payment that way. I did all of that years ago though, when I traveled for work. It sure came in handy when I couldn't drive for 14 months to get my mail!

For online purchases I have a dedicated credit card, or use paypal when I can. DH refuses to get a debit card at all, and when the banks send them he has a hissy. He will take an ATM card, but no debit. I have tried to explain he isn't liable for the entire amount in his account, but he hates the idea of them.

DH found my old one last night in my car. And that isn't the first time I have done that, since it's hard to walk I usually just toss the card in my pocket so I don't have to carry a purse in one hand and a cane in the other. I knew it had to be somewhere close, but I can't bend well to search so I just cancel and have them reissue it. It only takes a drive a few miles to get a new one

ok, so Nutz is fine...I woke him up from a nap...the moving and Zippo are keeping him really busy!

My wife has MS so she has to not only take the cooling necktie but she also has a ice vest that hold ice packs in the inside pockets and a hat she soaks in water to keep her cool. If it looks like it's going to be severely hot that day then I may have to sell the tickets. Thankfully the seats are under a canopy in the shade.
