Good morning Reoville!

Heading down to Santa Cruz to meet up with my daughter and her SO. We are going to play some frisbee golf at DeLaveaga Disc Golf Club. I've never played frisbee golf before and here I was thinking it would be a nice wide open, small little course, something along the lines of miniature golf. Well after looking at the web site, I may be in for more than I bargained for. This place is evidently world famous and is THE place for "disc golfers". Looks like it will be a fun day and Amanda says she knows a great BBQ place for after the round to recuperate.

Nah, I was an early hippie. Most of my friends were older and the first time I ever inhaled anything green I was 11. So I had a jump on things for my age. That night was a memorable night. I went to a local community center and saw a band called Grin. The frontman's name was Nils Lofgren. He later went on to do his own albums, in fact one of his was the first CD I ever bought. Now he plays guitar for Bruce Springsteen as well as other stuff. I believe he was about 17 or 18 at the time. Good times. I remember being at the protests in DC against the Vietnam war back when they were pretty heavy duty. I got kicked out of junior high because my hair was too long. Spent 6 years in high school and never graduated. It was just too boring for me, they couldn't keep my attention. Back then they didn't have programs for gifted students and I was left in the dust. Nobody knew what to do with me. So yeah, I've been around the block more than once or twice

Edit: when I was in high school I had the longest hair of anyone, male or female. It's about that long today.... Oh, and I'm much closer to 60 than 50.....

Anyone have a spare hanky?

I just called Enterprise car rental hoping to get a car for the Tigers-Yankees game in Aug., but, based on the experience upnorth, that regular rental co.'s don't carry individual short-term insurance for those that don't have any auto insurance I wasn't hopeful...and then I'd be stuck with $300 worth of tickets and have to disappoint a couple other people that I'd asked to go with me.

And I wouldn't be able to go to the Mark Farner-Chuck Negron-Mitch Ryder concert either, which is also in Aug......which also happens to be the month of my b'day....

I've been stressing about this for a few days, dreading to have to tell the others that both plans had to be called off.

Well, I just got off the phone with Enterprise Rentals and in a matter of minutes i had them both booked!!!

Not being as productive as I had hoped. It is so hot outside. Just squirted down the big dog to cool him off. I wouldn't be surprised if we had storms.

Good afternoon Reo wielders

Actually got up and movin' this mornin', knocked out a couple things I needed to get done in the yard, got cleaned up, ate a couple BLTs and now plan on spendin' the afternoon with the newest addition to the family...

A itty bitty kitty that was found in the street in front of a shoppin' center by a friends of ours kids, lucky to be alive that is a very busy street, had to bathe the poor thing 3 times before I even put it down inside the house, loaded with fleas, can feel every single bone, really malnourished

He's eating better and exploring a little today so hopefully the vet will not find anything really wrong when I take him in on Monday for a check-up and shots...

On another note we cut up our first Black Krim tomato today, probably the best I have ever eaten, deep awesome flavor

Aslo took advantage of the HHV sale, loaded up a couple of my better half's favorites and I decided to give Serendipity a try, luv Pirate's Booty, I DIY a RY4 variant that I've been vaping for over a year now, but an occasional HHV is a nice treat...

Best part is the seller is local. Were gonna meet up shortly....
