I stopped using my reo that I just got a week ago or so because I don't have an ohm reader yet and my provari was telling me my
coils were coming out to under 1 ohm when I knew that had to be way off. I was right!
I had to drive my daughter to another town for a trapping course she had signed up for and there was a vape shop in that town, Kokomo Indiana, Pure Vapors. So I had to check them out while I was in town. While there I told them about my coil/ohm problem and they offered to check it out. I had one of the coils in my reo that read 1.3 on my provari and when they checked in on their ohm reader it clocked in at 3.1 ohms! I knew it! I will not use my provari for measuring coils again. I am confused as to why the provari wasn't reading it correctly because it reads my eBaron coils perfectly. This particular coil I purposely built with a gazillion wraps knowing that it would have to measure way over 2.0 ohms and was stupefied when it didn't. It must be something wonky between the provari and the RM2.
Anyway- I'm so happy to know I'm not nuts or doing my coils wrong. I drove 213 miles round trip, learned I was right, met some awesome people at a great vape shop, bought my first Trippy Tip and took home some Smurf ..... and walked out of there
vaping my reo rocking my 3.1 ohm coil too! Oh and my daughter is now certified for trapping!
