Good evening Reoville. I haven't been around much but check in every day. I'm sort of preoccupied with some stuff...all good stuff though. I'm kicking myself for not shelling out 50 cents to see Spidora!

Hey, Fleet. Glad to see ya holding up so well.

that's one amazing album. but for ~45 years, i've been telling folks that "Astral Weeks" is what i have instead of god...

Dennis there is a video of him doing the full Astral weeks at the Hollywood Bowl that is transcending and it will raise your consciousness a notch or three.

Listening to it now. Surprised I missed it until now since it's been out so long. Now just need to find a way to buy it. Poor at the moment but music has no price to be put upon it. It's up to the listener. So if it's worth it, we'll find a way. Thanks so much for turning me onto it. VM has always captured my heart and soul.

It ain't often you get turned on to really great music. For that you have my deepest thanks.

Anyone hear of Joe Bonamassa? He's a local boy made good. Amazing guitarist..blues, rock ..

Indeed. He is actually quite well known by many guitarists. Especially those who play Les Pauls. He's one of the most talked about in those circles. I know, I've been known to sling a Les Paul now and again :)

Edit: to be fair, he has quite a collection of various brands on his website. I think most guitarists are familiar with him, be they play fender or gibson, or something else entirely. Certainly a great guitarist.

You know Dennis, my first true love, and I still love her to this day... Our music that we listened to was Van Morrison, Cat Stevens (Foreigner Suite was a favorite) and many others. We had the pleasure of seeing Cat Stevens live. Also major interests: Gloria Stienam, <sp>, Carol King (and I went on to like her daughter very much...) and too many others I can't remember. But listening to Astral Weeks took me way back. And brought up these old bittersweet memories. Bitter because I lost her, sweet for the times we had. And all this old music brings back those times. I smile now. We still love each other, just in a different way. But she'll always be my first love and my first heartbreak. She ended up preferring women to men and she came to me about 17 years ago telling me she wanted a baby. And I did my best to give it her (no sex involved). Didn't work out but that's how much I loved her, and still do. Now the hands of the clock have ticked past that moment. But that truly was a gift I wanted to give.

And all this music takes me back......

Edit: and now the old Fleet is coming back. Stories and personal things that many might not share. I think it's a good sign!
