I am totally with JC. I have no need to look for anything other than what I possess right now. Thanks to the lady above me here, I am self sufficient. All I ever need is PG and VG every once in a long while. I will always be a squonker of REO mods. Heavens to betsy, what else is there???

Just wanted to say 2 things: Hi, Happy New Year; and I'm absolutely satisfied with my LP Grands. I understand Shiny-itis as well as thinking new tech can bring a better experience, and certainly don't judge anyone for following that path (I found my way back from a different mech squonk, myself). I just feel like my cig-substitute is sated perfectly already. Thanks to Rob for these phenomenal devices, and Eric & Co. for keeping REOs alive!

To me being a Reonaut is a mindset thing. As a Reonaut you support the Reos, Reosmods and Reoville, with dedicated Reo folks more than any others.

IMO the long and successful run of Reos has mostly ran its course even though squonking has become a much more accepted form of vaping worldwide (especially these past few months). The Reos simply cannot compete in the mech squonk mod market at their price point without a strong, dedicated customer base like it once had. Especially now with some companies in China putting out quality mech squonk and regulated squonk gear at very low-price points that Reosmods can’t compete with. Dedicated Reonauts may still buy a few Reos, but the lion’s share of vape folks will not because they don’t have to pay their price of admission anymore.

My Reos are all out of service with no current plans to bring them back. Mesh RDA’s have changed my game again Big Time. These atty’s tick all the boxes for my vaping style better than any of the other 150+ I have. With super low mesh builds they are fire breathing dragons not meant for everyone, and required my getting into dual batt squonk mods, regulated squonk mods and bringing back some of my dual series TC mods that can drive them far better than the Reo P67’s can. I’ve acquired a few of these mods and RDA’s, and have more of both coming. The perfect vapes I get with this gear far exceeds the vapes I’ve gotten from ANY of my old gear, including the Reos. I see regulated squonking as being the future for squonking. I see them running mesh gear as my future in vaping.

Reosmods has been stale for months under new ownership. Very little has been done to even try to rebuild a customer base (let alone the large one that was lost when forum and basically Reosmods itself went silent for so long). There is not enough dedicated Reonauts left to support the business as is, and their price-point not competitive for new folks getting into squonking. I do hope that Eric does make Reosmods at least a minor contender in the future for the dedicated Reonauts.

Reoville became a graveyard by being shut down for so long. Folks moved on, very few came back because in the months since it reopened there has been very little to support on the forum. The forum is stale and the owner basically does nothing to help bring it back. Rob always took an active part in the forum over all those years. His back woods Robisims and staying in almost daily touch with his customers made him one of the biggest assets of the old Reoville and Reosmods, and that helped make them both successful. Other old salts and I tried many times at first to try to help bring it back, but to no avail in the end. The few who do still hang on seldom if ever post on the forum anymore. There’s nothing here for them to support, nothing for me to support. I have moved on.

As for my old badge… by my definition I am no longer a Reonaut, so the badge remains defunct.

As always just my take on it all (that I feel no need to defend).

WOW!!! Too much negativity in that post and can't like any of it at all. It seems to be a good thing you've moved on but I'm bewildered by what you thought was going to be changed in the short few months Eric has been on watch?

I'm more perplexed at how you can be so negative in your post, yet have no problem posting over a dozen photo's of your Reo's in the Squonk Porn thread in just the last few weeks!!!!!!!! I wish you the best with whatever Chinese squonker makes your journey pleasurable, but please, leave your negativity at the door when you visit next time....

FYI... It wasn't Eric's fault the majority base of posters to this forum was lost, it was Rob's fault!!

@muzichead thanks for your post. Myself, I haven't used a REO or any mech in a long, long time, but am still as much a Reonaut as I was when Reos dominated my daily vape and I always will be. I'm highly supportive of the new Reo World HQ, and don't expect them to perform miracles. It would be nice if more of the old crew was active on this forum, but at least we are here making the most of it and who knows what the future holds in that regard.

I was thinking of you the other day. Good to hear from you, happy new year my friend :)

@muzichead, have I mentioned lately that I’m really glad that you have decided to still hang with us? Although we don’t have exactly the same taste in music ( I’m a Carrie Underwood, Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw kind of gal......country, country, country,) I just enjoy your posts.

Thanks Jan... I just passed the 1yr vape free mark on the 9th and still try to check in here daily!!:party::w00t::w00t: Just because I don't post all over this forum doesn't mean that I don't still care about the people, whether they post or not... I am about the only person that has posted in the music thread in over a month, I think, but fear not I will get to some country because I'm a huge fan of todays country and their artists... I'll get you covered...

I get what your saying @Spydro about the new stuff coming down the pipes. I like the Mesh a whole lot and agree it shines on a regulated mod. I have 2 LBC DNA200's to run mine. Fantastic vape!! But guess what else is fantastic? Nuppins on Reos. I cant be the only one who likes to go full bore, peel-yer-eyelids off DTL and also teeney tiny tootle puffer, (not that reos are dedicated tootle puffin machines either). I find them satisfying at different times of the day. For example, I just got over being sick, couldn't even think of DTL without hacking my brains out, so I loaded up some menthol in the little O-16 (thanks Spydro for coining that phrase in the Reo forum) on a Mini 2.1 and stuck the Mesh and LBC up in the vape cabinet. I also cant imagine vaping NET out of the Mesh. Its fun to experience the squonk ride as it happens, which is happening fast right now, but its also good to know there's great gear if you don't try to make it do what the newer bigger burn-through-power-and-juice-at-the-speed-of-(squonk)sound- gear. I guess what I am saying, just cuz you don't feel like your the dedicated Reonaut you once were, we (who may or may not be in the same boat as you) are all basically here for the same reason and that is, we were once smokers, found an alternative and joined a community of like minded individuals who may or may not have things they like to share and may or may not like reading about others experiences. Thanks for sharing yours buddy, and I hope to hear more from you and others about their experiences and successes like @muzichead has shared. Reoville is a state of mind, and I dont mind stating I dig you guys (and gals) and appreciate the help and support Ive received through out the years.

Sorry to see you go @Spydro, but it sounds like it was time. I appreciate all the input you gave me, along with hundreds of other vapers over the years. Good luck with whatever you're using these days to vape.

Good morning all! I am certainly guilty of taking my daily drivers (Reos) and this forum for granted. I just don’t have the desire to check out other options out there. Don’t know if it’s because I’m interested in different hobbies or if I’m just content....or both. I really appreciate what @TwistedThrottle said about being a Reonaut. So eloquent. I have learned so much from so many, including @Spydro. One of the aspects of Reos is the kinship that I cherish beyond measure. We may not agree on other aspects in our lives, but we are there for each other no matter what!

Congratulations @muzichead on your 1 year post vaping anniversary!! So grateful you check in and are so willing to share your experiences. That’s going the extra mile!

Good day all and big cyber hugs.

I love my reos and I’m not interested in any other gear. I love the community here too! Although I do wish there was something new to look forward to. The goldvein and other color options coming soon are a nice addition; the website and everything else. I think I’m just wanting something bigger. I’m confident Eric will get there.

I completely agree. The website is a delight to visit and it doesn’t hurt to see photos from many Reonauts on there. Haha. Bravo Eric!
