I’m so sad, and so sorry to hear about Boomer, @Sloth Tonight. He’s been a family member around here for a long time.
Mornin!
Anyone else rocking the Wotofo Profile on their P67 or Woodville? Got the rda for regulated use, but works great on the Reos so it may be a permanent fixture now.
I dont think 0.4 is possible with mesh. The mesh that came with the profile is Kanthal stamped screens (think notch coils that are flat with bitty holes instead of lines) coming out to 0.18. That combined with the voltage drop makes it feel to me like 0.3 and thats usually right where I want to be on my Reo. The draw is certainly open but can be dialed down with the air flow. Wotofo sells those kanthal screens in a 10 pack for like $4, I got mine from eciggity. Each screen can be dry burned and re used many, many times (like for months). There are spools of mesh from Vandy Vape and also Digiflavor that come in different metal flavors. Kanthal has the highest resistance followed by Ni80 followed by SS. The longer and wider you can make the strip, the higher the resistance but the bigger the loop, the more cotton is needed and more of a chance of a short due to the mesh touching the cap. The stamped screens take all the guess work out of it as its ready to go with no frayed ends which makes installing the wick a cinch,(plus, wotofo gives you a nifty tool for molding the screens to a perfect loop). The rolls of mesh are cheaper but tougher to wick due to the frayed ends and dont stand up nearly as well to the dry burning. I will still use the VV rolls of SS mesh I have on regulated devices in different atties, but the kanthal screens work nicely in the profile on mechs.Where do you get mesh? And what mesh to get if I run things usually around 0.4?
I've never had success with lower resistance, as I like a kind of slow (but open) long draw...
Thanks man, means a lot.@Sloth Tonight
Sorry to hear the news about Boomer...I know you were very close to him and sure he will be extremely missed and never forgotten by everyone.
Thanks man, means a lot.
It surprises even me, but ms Sloth and I are getting a new dog either today or tomorrow. He's a Siberian Husky. We took him for a day visit (very cool of the local humane society) on Sunday and fell in love. There's no replacing Boomer, but we both realized that if Boom had a parting wish, it would be for us to rescue another dog and give it a good home. This dog's name is Atticus Blue, and I'll post pics as soon as he comes to his new home.
ETA to update - just got a call from the shelter saying we had a great vet recommendation and we can come pick him up anytime. Today it is!!!![]()
Yep! That’s how we roll on. We tend to adopt older pooches (easier actually) so we have a lot of turnover. None ever take the place of the previous pooch. Impossible as they are all unique. So glad you are reaching out to help another pooch in need. Thanks man, means a lot.
