Yeah, I experimented today too. Bigger coils, oval coils, two toothpicks, a nail, a drill bit, Rob's way, and then went back to the toothpick.:laugh:

Think I ruined a REOmizer. :( I made three different coils and never could get it to meter at all. I noticed the negative post turned as I tightened it's screw
I am pretty sure I can fix it . The post with the gasket on it is the positive . If you dont want to mess with it send it in

Oops....I mean the positive post! I'll mess with it if you'll tell me what to do.

After attempting your free hand coil wrap method, I am now positive you have magic in those hands!

You were right I dont no what I was thinking . the top plate on the atty is the positive so the post with the gasket is the negative . It sounds to me like the short is coming from the negative post . If its lose I would snug it down and test it with your ohm meter .I try to never grab the atomizer by the posts but by the base if possible

You get use to it I use to do it with a small piece of copper wire but I realized it didn't need it and have done them free hand ever since

This place is gettin' to be like reading Penthouse Forum. I'm not sure my delicate sensibilities should be exposed to this.

Anyone having trouble with the o-ring not sealing the cup?
That & the small 32 ga. wire have given my 63 year old eyes a little trouble.
Am now using 28 or 30 ga. wire & it works fine on my grand.
The o-ring in the catch cup?
No problems with that here. What's happening?

I snugged it down, built another coil, zero ohms. Noticed a tiny bulge in the gasket that sits close to the threads. When I tried to attach the cap, the tiny bulge got caught and broke. Sending it to the ICU...was shipping you a package today anyway.

I always grab it by the base.

For those who don't have the larger REOs just wait a little bit and there will be more reasonably priced RBAs coming out that will fit the Mini REOs. In addition Robert is having some new Mini 2.0 milled that have catchcups larger than original to accommodate some of the current RBAs including the REOmizer.

Hugs, Feisty Alice

So which names should I be keeping an eye out for?

I will find the culprit :)

Hello Louis this happens to me a couple times a week . I think were just giving the atomizer a little to much juice it only takes a couple drops to fill whats left of the juice well . I remove my atomizer clean the bottom with a paper towel and I soak up the juice in the well . Install the rba and I can go days without it a curing again so I no its me

I've found the Reomizer WAY easy to over-squonk. Since my drip tip comes off easily, I've started to take it off and look down into the atty while squonking. Squeezing the bottle till I just see a bead of liquid reach the wick legs is all it takes to get a good three to four vapes. Of course this is not recommended while driving, but it has eliminated the messy overflowing catch cup syndrome.

Late to the party:
I received on of these gorgeous babies in the mail yesterday. Awesome work as usual Rob!

I do have a quick question for the pros here. I scanned through the thread but didn't notice it coming up:

Is it possible to tighten the draw a bit? If I dropped some additional wicking material under the bridge, would it make any difference?

I know it's not pretty, but here's an option for you. Cut the end off a carto condom and slide it partially over the hole.

Genius! Thank you so much. I was just scrabbling around my desk looking for something similar. Never even occurred to me to hatchet up a condom.

Then again, as a single 41 year old dude: it should NEVER occur to me to hatchet up a condom.
Sorry: couldn't resist.

oh you fit right in here Tachy, believe me!
