I thought as much, but wanted to ask anyway just in case there was something I hadn't considered. Are you still looking at smaller rba's or is the Mini 2.1 the best bet?
I think the 2.1 is the way to go if one is looking to run a mini and a rba . I have my eye on another rba that may work for us again this wont fit the mini or the mini 2.0 .

So I went out to Michaels and bought some DMC 5 cotton thread... BUT they didn't have it in white so I ended up getting Ecru. I've been going a day now on this wick and it SEEMS to be a little better than the silica. I'm still not too sure (I probably need another Reomizer with the silica to compare) but the flavor does seem more "clearer" if that makes any sense. It also seems to burn easier than the silica which is giving me a good amount of vapor.

However, when I first put in the wicks I was getting this taste....at first I didn't notice it too much but as I kept vaping it seemed like I was getting a subtle like cotton flavor (I think...). It definitely went away now but I was wondering if I probably had to boil the thread to get rid of that initial taste. I read that other people aren't too bothered by it, but it bugs me a little bit because my throat gets more dry from vaping than usual. Could it be that the ecru colored thread I bought has some coloring that I'm tasting? or is just the cotton taste that I've read about? If boiling the thread is the answer I might just go and boil ALL my thread and dry it off, that way I don't have to keep boiling new threads every time I build another coil.

The problem with discerning the taste of my juice is that I'm using Rawr Vapor's Hawaii Paradise, which is a pretty strong flavor and even when muted I can still taste the flavors... so I'm not sure if using the cotton wicks is necessarily better than the silica. I've tried the Strapple flavor on the silica and I can not seem to get a very good taste out of that with the silica. I tried it with the cotton, but that initial "cotton" taste kept me from going on. Maybe I'm just not that into this Strapple flavor from Rawr (even though it has rave reviews)

Sounds like the cotton flavor to me. I don't boil my thread, I just vape through it. The wierd taste only seems to last 15 minutes or so and then it's all gravy. I do use the "natural" cotton thread though. I bought a big ball of it from WalMart for like $4. It works great, but I can't remember what the brand was.

Okay so I have another question on the O-ring placement for the Reomizer....

I've been putting it IN the well around the 510 connection is that where I'm supposed to place the ring? Yesterday I had a major leaking issue because I filled up to Reomizer a little too much and it stayed in the well so it either leaked out of the air hole or out of the bottom between the Reomizer and connection.

SO I just slipped another O ring OVER the Reomizer (while connected) and moved it towards the bottom of the seal in the little space between the base and Reomizer. I hope that fixes the leaking problems.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! Hope you all have a great holiday!

If your getting a little e juice in your well with the rba try a little vaseline on the threads one of my rba was doing this this eliminated the problem. I think chap stick would work as well

I found another solution. Cut about 1/8" off a carto condom, pull it over the reomizer, and cover the seam on the bottom with it. Then screw it into the mod. Fits tight, and creates an awesome seal between the catch cup and the atty.
