Pain hasn't really subsided all week on the steroid pack. Saw Dr today. Prescribed MRI, Ultram and Mobic. I'll start those tomorrow.
Many years back, I had a backache, and then all of a sudden I could not take a step without excruciating pain. I went to the er and they gave me a shot that helped me. I went to an orthopedic and the MRI showed a herniated disk. I ended up getting two nerve blocks. One made a huge difference and one I saw no improvement. I still have issues at times but I have learned the warning signs that let me know when I need to slow down. I have also learned that if I don't listen to those signs, I end up in bed for a couple of days.

Not sure why I poured out my story to you. I guess I wanted to sympathize and say there are options and help for you. I know it can be discouraging. I hope the medication helps and I am sorry you had a rough week. Keep us posted on what you find out from the MRI.

Oh, and what good southern girl would not have a "Bless your heart" for you? girl_haha.gif I hope you feel better soon.

For tonight, it's back to nature...:headbang:

Oh dear heart. I am sorry you haven’t gotten any relief...yet. Please keep us posted. WE are here for you whether you need a coil suggestion or just a shoulder to lean on.
Years ago, I was humbled by neck pain which resulted in getting a fake disc and fusion. The journey seemed to take forever but well worth it....especially in retrospect. It was also the event that enabled me to stop smoking cigs.
Cheers to your nature evening.

Wow jifjifjif... sorry to hear the news man.

I've been dealing with something going on with my back and left arm. Pain like this one would think you would know what it's from or how it happened.

My family says it's from a new pillow I changed to even though it was the same make and model as before.. though changing it out has helped a little to my neck. It's a little flatter.

Anyways at the base of my neck killed bad and the pain was also going down to my forearm. Shooting radiating non stop pain.. nothing helped and no position would bring relief. Early on my shoulder and tricep would just constant muscle spazims.

Lots of icyhot would help.. and applying pressure to a nerve next to the wing bone would chill it out some.

It's getting better I guess or I'm getting used to the pain :/

Friday was not fun though doing yard work and cutting the grass the first time of the season. Realised real quick my tricep on my left arm was toast as I could not even push the lawn mower handle down to lift the front wheels up to turn the thing. :( so now I'm worried I did some big damage to my arm.

And strongly enough this all started after a day or 2 of my wife complaining about her leg.. right knee has a large knot behind it. She has no idea what happened. She works as a manager at a jewelry store and I guess the long hours durring the holiday season took a toll on her legs.. this all started after Valentines day.

Constant pain and now its both knees and she can barely walk.. can't sit too long or stand too long and can't really bend them much. Moans in her sleep as well. Only 50..

Finally since it's not going away She is headed to the docs soon to see what's up... of course after dealing with working 2 weeks straight for mother's day. :/ First day off will be this Wednsday when she goes to the doctor..

Yeah we getting old early it seems.. I'm turning 50 come Nov.

Haha.. and here I came here to ask where's a good place to buy batteries now haha

EDIT: Beer helps though!

Might not be a bad idea to get your issue checked out also. It could just be a weird coincidence that it happened when you changed pillows. It does look like you would know the cause of something hurting that bad but I have had the same thing happen to me. Like Bette Davis said, "Getting old is not for sissies."

18650 Batteries

I was very pleased with this vendor on my recent battery purchase. Fast shipping and I loved that they came in plastic cases. I have also been very pleased with the Molicel P26A 2600mAh 35A batteries. Just my 3 cents (inflation).

I hope you both feel better soon. smileys-praying-820668.gif

You don't even want to get me started on what I think of today's medical profession or pharmaceutical companies. It is definitely a last resort for me to go to the doctor. My ortho told me I was tough as a $2 steak. And he was right. girl_haha.gifheehee

We had a small shower this afternoon. I would have preferred more of a downpour to help get down some of the pollen. This is the first year I have ever been bothered by it. Not sure if it is worse this year or just another one of those signs I turning into an o'l fart. My guess would be. . . both.

Glad you are getting some relief @jifjif & fingers crossed for you and your wife @SteamStack. (Sometimes we gotta pick up the 100 pound phone and get a Dr’s appt...hint hint).

I know that Reonauts are sharing souls so if anyone wants to share a bit of rain, please send some out west if you are so inclined. :)

Go try a bottle of Pollen Block.. lots of reviews on amazon. Hunt for it online and you'll find it for $20 a bottle.

Used this the last few years.. wheb we go to my kids bb games.. wife survives using it alot through out the week at work. Haha.

Just chew 2 tablets.

i stocked up recently buying up 6 bottles.. supply chain issues and all.. its been like a year since it's been in stock.

Decades ago, researchers in France discovered the ability for certain quail eggs to alleviate pollen related symptoms in the body. Now they have perfected the process to concentrate the active ingredient into a small and chewable tablet.

The active ingredient is the bio-available fraction concentrated from quail egg. This bioactive portion acts differently than traditional anti-histamines and is clinically studied to alleviate seasonal distress symptoms, including promoting clear nasal and sinus passageways, eye comfort, and respiratory function to help you beat the pollen back and take control of your sinus

es once more! *

Here’s How Pollen Block Will Help You Fight Back Against Pollen:

  • Helps Support Healthy Sinus Function *
  • Helps Enhance Daily Respiratory Function *
  • Helps Enhance Respiratory Health *
  • Promotes Clear Airway Passages And Normal Breathing *
  • Promotes Respiratory Health And Normal Breathing *
  • Supports Eye Comfort And Sinus Health *

Thank you so much. Tis the season so it seems to be unavailable on Amazon right now. That is so on point when I am needing something.

This was very interesting to read about and I have never heard of the research with quail eggs. It was fascinating reading about the research with farmers. I also learned about some of the benefits of eating quail eggs. As you can tell, I love to google. The best friends of someone who does not sleep much are Google and YouTube.

Thanks again. unnamed.gif

Yes - that list compile by @UncleJunkle is an awesome resource!!
I used to prefer NudeNicotine - but they stopped shipping retail at a time when I was just starting to stockpile a bit. So I bought some from Heartland and some from Nicotine River. Oh and one small batch from Delosi, too, lol. Can't vouch for quality/difference, as it's all still in a mini-freezer...

Hello, I am sleuthing for where to buy nicotine. Always like to get wisdom from Reo Fam 1st.
I have not had to buy nic in a really long time but I did see this thread that is kept current.

List of US Retailers Still Shipping 100mg Nicotine Base | E-Cigarette Forum

I have thought about getting a little more in my inventory. Good luck to you. View attachment 973984
